The guy on the right is Right!

If you haven't voted yet, like you can already here in Iowa, I just wanted to make sure that you understand that there is a very sharp distinction between the two candidates. And there is one way that you can tell what the immediate contrast would be just by knowing what the respective candidate's supporters, and eventual voters, are saying.

I can easily illustrate my point with the two videos provided below.  I'll begin with the video of a supporter of Mitt Romney, the guy on the Right.  This supporter is Black, Conservative, and a very successful entrepreneur. His name is Herman Cain, and he was a former candidate for President in the GOP nomination process. His message: Is America a great country, or what? USA! USA! USA!

You see, one of the main attributes of a Romney and GOP supporter/voter is a great love of the United States of Ameria, and the belief that it is a great country where you have an opportunity with Free Enterprise. And that is the fundamental difference between the candidates, and their supporters.

On the Right, there is a desire for self-reliance. Whereas, on the Left, there are many supporters of Barack Obama, despite his horrific record on the economy, the national debt topping $16 trillion, and a foreign policy and national security that is a complete failure - not to mention scandals like Fast & Furious or the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya on 9/11/12 that the Obama administration failed to admit (lied about!) for over a week - you have to wonder what it is that makes them want to vote for Barack Obama.

The unfortunate truth is that perhaps some people have learned to expect "free stuff" from the government. And when they get all the government handouts, at the expense of hard working folks that pay the taxes, you would expect them to also be chanting, "USA! USA! USA!" But do they? I didn't hear anyone in the following video saying that this is the greatest country in the world. Did you?

In the vernacular of social media: LOL! Apparently, the lady above isn't aware of the fact that the "free Obama phone" is an urban legend; it is total misinformation, as it turns out. The actual truth is, "The federal program wasn’t started by President Obama. It dates back to 1996, as part of the Telecommunications Act of 1996." Really? Is that not true irony? The ignorant sheeple will believe anything, especially if it means they can get free stuff. Sure, vote for Obama! Get that free ObamaPhone! And the free health care!  Right...  Good luck with that!

Like I said, there is a sharp contrast between the candidates, and a very distinct difference in what their supporters believe is true.  (What they believe is true and the actual Truth are vastly different!!)

Please allow me a moment of deep reflection. There is a need for me to expound on what I've said so far. In my personal life, there are many people that I love and cherish as close friends, and many are supporters of Barack Obama and the Liberal/Progressive agenda. I do not wish to demean, demonize, or offend them in any way. I acknowledge that they understand what Obama stands for, and agree with his ideologies, and that is totally their own choice. I may disagree with them, but I respect their beliefs. I just hope that it is understood that I am not trying to bash people for their beliefs, or people that lack the access to valid information.

I am, however, going to passionately attempt to make sure that people actually understand the differences between the candidates, if they don't already!

It IS the Greatest Country in the World, because .... (Fill in the blank).  Two possible answers: "Because you have opportunity because you are free to ATTEMPT to succeed," or because, "If you fail, you can get a free phone."

But sorry, folks, it isn't really an ObamaPhone.  It IS, actually, a DependencyPhone.

On February 23, 2010, I uploaded the video you will see below. I just knew that the things Bernie Goldberg was telling Bill O'Reilly would lead to a deeper meaning. And sure enough, just a few days later, I found a column that said that the Conservative Movement, and even more importantly, the TEA Party movement, were going to distance themselves from certain "fragments" of the movements: The FRINGE... I was moved to promptly write a response to that column. I am pretty sure that this video gave me some of the ammo that lead to what I felt when I read the column by Kenneth Vogel.

In this video, you will see the part where Bernie explains how the left-wing media attaches any kind of violence to the FAR right wing conspiracy (which probably includes ANY of us in the TEA Party movement).

This video segment of O'Reilly is now so much more relevant because of what had been written by Vogel and in my response. What you will be seeing will definitely help you connect the dots.

And yes, in listening to Sean Hannity just now, I'd swear he read the column I wrote yesterday, where I mention "United we stand, divided we fall!"

WATCHING WHAT THE OTHER HAND IS DOING

The first three videos that you will see below set the theme of this week's edition of Last Week on TheREALjohnny2k. As you will see, there is a good reason why I mention that you need to watch the other hand.

As you watch the assortment of videos below, there are things you need to think about. First, ask yourself if you had heard about the story in the mainstream media that is being shown in the videos. If you haven't, don't you wonder why that would be? Could it be that the mainstream media is being used by the Obama Administration and the liberal left-wing cabal now running the whole show in Washington, D.C., to divert your attention from the REAL stories?

Well, you now know something about not just TheREALjohnny2k, my youtube video channel, but the whole purpose of all I do there and on my blogs: It is to allow you to see what the other hand is doing by showing you what ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, and the major newspapers and news magaizines don't want you to find out about. And when they do manage to tell you about some of the stories, they twist and distort them in order to marginalize the messengers. If people like Nancy Pelosi tell you that the tea party participants are right-wing extremists and probably Nazis, the major mainstream news networks will tell you about that. Things like Climategate, where thousands of emails and documents were released from the Climate Research Unit by a hacker or a whistleblower, are marginalized as being criminal and all taken out of context. Kind of like what ACORN and the mainstream press is saying about the videos taken "surreptitiously" by James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles. And, oh boy, you know what the other side (the leftists) say about Glenn Beck! Why, he's just crazy! And you don't want to listen to that Rush Limbaugh guy, he's that drug addict that incites the Rush-bots into being on the Homeland Security watch list.

So, let me ask you: Do you want to be informed? I'm sure most of you probably answered that in the affirmative. However, the second question may be a little more difficult to answer. Who are you being informed by? Could your source of information have an agenda? Probably, because I do. My agenda is to make sure that you have the opportunity to find out about things that you may only learn from a Conservative-based source. Wait, correction: I'll happily provide you with any information sources that aren't being controlled by the White House that I find. What I share with you is all about not being in the tank for the Obama regime.

On a side note, one of the things I've been working on is a Year In Review for 2009. It will involve videos from my youtube channel and blogs that I've posted. That project will be done sometime in early January next year. Another thing that you will be seeing will be a new johnny2k.com. That's right, January 1, 2010 is the Tenth Anniversary of the website that hasn't quite become a household name, but it's getting there, johnny2k.com. I've been thinking about this for the last year or two. I've contemplated a great deal on whether or not I would "change direction," and I've decided NOT to change direction, but to concentrate on a specific path to the ultimate destination: Maintaining freedom in America.

What I've just written has eliminated any possible speculation on my agenda, right? I've now told you exactly what drives me to do what I do.

Saluting Our Veterans, Past and Present

Just before Veteran's Day this year, there is a shooting at Fort Hood in Texas. Anger and frustration has built up in me as I followed this story from the day it occurred. The Obama administration hesitates to call it what it is, an act of terrorism. While the terrorist that did the shooting fits completely into the mold of the very people that we are fighting on two fronts, Iraq and Afghanistan, the administration tries to make it out to be somebody that just snapped.

And then, there was the way the President handled the initial press conference following the attack at Fort Hood, where he spends the first several moments of the press conference giving jovial shout-outs to his constituents.

But, my aggravation grew immensely, as over the next few days, I start learning how it was another case of the government dropping the ball. Once again, just like before 9/11, we find out that intelligence officials and law enforcement couldn't coordinate and connect the dots with all of the information that they already had. In just the FBI alone, those that knew that Nidal Hasan was being watched could not or did not communicate with those that did the background check when the murder weapons (guns) were being purchased.

My patience with the way the President is handling the War On Terror ran completely out this morning. It turns out that the President wants to go "back to the drawing board" to decide what to do with Afghanistan. That was just this morning. You can check it out for yourself.

There just isn't any problem in thinking at this time that President Barack Obama has no clue in how to run a war. In fact, after the way he has handled the act of terrorism at Fort Hood, he doesn't even have a clue in how to boost the morale of the troops. No, in fact, I really can't see any way our military would be encouraged by Obama's actions, and lack of action.

In order to keep my sanity, I decided to put together a few videos that I've put up on youtube.com over the last year, beginning with a tribute for Veterans Day a year ago. Our military needs to know that WE care about them. WE the People know and understand the veteran's courage, service and sacrifice.

The following videos may have been posted by me, but I want our current and past military service members to know that it took all of the people involved in the videos, and all of you, to make these clips possible. Thank God that we have patriots in the civilian population that believe in the patriots and heroes in the military. Putting this video montage together was my relatively meager attempt to say thanks to our Veterans and those now serving to protect our freedom.

How About: While They Are There

I had doubts that I would see anything on the news this morning that would ever be worthy enough to take the time to upload to youtube. I had no desire to spend time video blogging about what a scumbag Dave Letterman is. In fact, that is now a well known fact that I really wanted to erase from my mind. It was not an image that I wanted to have stuck in my head.

And of course, there was that big attempt for Chicago to get the Olympics in 2016. There is now the great sadness...please bow your heads... that Valerie, Michelle, and Barack won't be getting rich on that great land deal that they thought was in the bag... Oh. I digress.

It surely pains me to see the Iran nuclear issue go by without my comment at this time, but seriously, I'm sure that most of you already know what a complete failure the Obama policy has been.

Mmmm mmm mmm, Barack Hussein Obama, you've been rejected!

And what a shocking story that would be to be telling you about now, except for the fact that there are many more important issues that have been rejected and ignored by Obama and his minions in the state-run media.

Being that I was not really all that enthusiastic about any of the stories of the day, I decided to take my time getting home from work this morning. I really didn't come across anything last night that deserved any mention. But the timing turned out to be perfect. When I finally arrived home, I found out about a musical tribute to our troops that was going to be playing in the last few minutes of Fox & Friends. I fired up my recording gear, and was able to get some video that was suitable for producing and uploading to my youtube channel.



Mmmm mmm mmm, Barack the Olympic Failure. While that is such a "tragic" event, that Chicago was eliminated (Obamanated in this case) from the Olympic considerations for 2016, there is another major tragedy going on that nobody else is covering today.

At this time, Barry the Obamanator is seemingly ignoring the need to make a decision about our strategy (or lack of it) in Afghanistan. His general on the battlefront appealed for the needed manpower and resources to prevent defeat. "Wait a minute, general," Obama seems to be saying, "getting the 2016 Olympics in Chicago is extremely vital to our national security."

Of course, the state-controlled media is keeping that story at the front of the line, while our fighting men and women are left hanging, not even knowing if their mission will be allowed to continue. How's that for a big morale booster?

The title of the song in the video above was, "When They Come Back," which was great. Those that are back from the war(s) definitely need our support. But, that isn't the whole story, is it? How about those that are still over there? They need our support. They need our President's support. I hope that now that he Obamanated the 2016 Olympics, he may want to spend some time thinking about our military and their needs.

Mmmm mmm mmm. Barack the Olympic Failure. And, so? Big deal. Where he must not fail is in what to do with Gen. McCrystal's requests to avoid defeat. I sure hope he met with the General in Copenhagen as some in the media suggested.

For us, the loved ones of the troops, we'll be honoring those that have come back, those that didn't make it back, and those that are still there. The question is, will the President honor any of them?

Dismiss the Threat at Your Own Peril

Is there a threat to our God-given liberty in the country once known as the United States of America? Nah, didn't think so! Or, really... do we have anything to worry about?

Well, honestly, if you answered the question(s) above with a "NO" - I guess I can relate somewhat to that. On September 10, 2001, many of us weren't thinking about what "could happen," right?

What? Planes flying into the towers or the Pentagon? Oh, that would be CRAZY to think that could or would ever happen!

So, with what I've wanted to tell you for a long time, I was just a little apprehensive about the recourse of divulging what I believe to be the greatest threat to our freedom since WWII started, and we were fighting Adolph Hitler and his minions. What I believe CAN happen, I knew, is very frightening. People just don't like the idea of "CHANGE" (and oh, do I really wish people would have thought about that a little more before the last election!). Because, here it is, a few "little changes" that might just mean a life very different than what you have known.

Let's just start with this one. A good buddy of mine on twitter.com, exposeliberals, had mentioned a story, "Keep your kids home September 8th," by Dana Loesch, which I of course checked out. When you read that story, you'll see something very insidious. Just listen to what Dana writes:

I wouldn’t have such a problem with the Department of Education were this presented in a non-Orwellian fashion. Oh yes, it is, as the lesson plan directs, to listen to what the president, the mayor, et al. says, to respect their “authoritah” ... but there is no emphasis in here on why the president and other elected officials should listen to US. The focus is solely on authority. There is no consideration given to the authority of the American people. That’s what concerns me.

There is this mindset that those in Washington are the “elite,” that we should mind our Ps and Qs and blindly follow their directives. That’s not the manner of governance upon which this country was founded – it is quite the opposite; even the hobbyist Constitutional aficionado appreciates this.

That's right. They want our kids to be disciplined little robots. I mean, how long is it before Barack the One starts preaching to our young little ankle biters on "Sesame Street"? Ummmmm...... I just report, you decide and answer that question. But to give you some further clues to what is going on, let me show you THIS video that I found today:



Yes, that's right, I just showed you similarities between Adolph and The One. Scary, isn't it? Oh, that's right... Surely, it's just some crazy stuff, there's plenty of ammo for those of the Alinsky-trained organizers to use to demonize and marginalize what I just exposed the WHOLE WORLD to (that is, until the Cyber Security Act of 2009 goes into affect... just sayin').



Hey, can't the act of criticizing the President, The One, get me in some big trouble? Could I now have a problem getting a gun permit or a passport, or even be banned from traveling to Great Britain? You know it!

Strangely enough, I had another fun thing to think about a bit ago (while waiting for my latest youtube video to upload, which strangely crashed with seconds to go before success in uploading). I need to take a preemptive approach in order to combat those that will try to villify, demonize and marginalize what I have written so far today. For those that may feel that I'm capitalizing on everything going on these days that threaten our freedom, forget about it.

No, I'm not part of some "astroturf machine". Nobody has yet paid me to write what I do (though I wish). There is no corporate conglomerate behind my efforts. Matt Drudge or Joseph Farah have yet to contact me to offer me a contract to write for them. Fox News is yet to hire me as a Fox News contributor, let alone, for an anchor position. Nope. I'm just your fly-over coutnry hayseed hick in the Hawkeye state. I'm just saying what I believe to be true. I'm just one of the grassroots patriots that is doing my part - with my God-given abilities - to save America. I just want to be able to continue to speak freely, and cling to my Bible and my gun. What has been going on with this country is scaring me out of my skin. And I hope I am writing loudly enough. I hope you are hearing me today.

Then So Be It... I'm a Birther

There is no doubt in my mind - EVER - that God leads us to doing what we need to do when it is His plan. I have had that experience over the last few weeks, where the directions my life has taken have lead me to new destinations, and not part of my plan, but because of His plan for me. I can give testimony to that, as what I thought I would be doing just a month ago has completely changed. The changes in my life plans came upon me from influences from outside of my own control. And I know God had a very big part in how things are working out.

And with that being said, I want to do what I can to explain, and to answer your immediate questions, the first one being, "what do my personal life changes have to do with the overwhelming world events that I want to write about?"

Let me start with when I wrote, "Don't Give Up" back on July 26. I had this feeling that day when I was writing. I knew that something was happening in my mind and my heart that seemed to be lifting me up, and getting me out of that rut I was in. Of course, much of what inspired me that day came from the music video that Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush had produced... and the many, many times that I have watched and listened to and shared with the people that I love. I don't know, maybe it was those words that Kate sung, "You worry too much." Or, maybe, it was when I realized that I was just a "crumb," something that could possibly be misconstrued into thinking that I was "nothing," but believe me, I think a lot of people out there actually got the point, as the comments I received have confirmed.

The one thing I had learned from these last few days was, let your heart not be concerned, God has it all under control. We worry too much.

In saying that, I'm meaning that there is that possibility that maybe some of us are worried too much that Barack Obama is not a natural born citizen. Is he, or is he not? Well, no matter what, and no matter how the truth is hidden at this time, it will come out.

I sure don't want people that I love to take what I've just said the wrong way. I have a great amount of respect for my friends at WorldNetDaily.com. My friends there, like Joseph Farah and Jerome Corsi, have been under a great amount of attack by the mainstream media. All they are doing has been pursuing the truth. That's all they are doing. And I am right there with them. I've been following this amazing story for quite awhile, and I have to say that I've understood the doubts that some have in their minds. Those that have their doubts have been called "birthers." But yet, much of the evidence, combined with the unpopular concerns about Barack Obama's birth place, are continuously denigrated by many people in the media.

Maybe we worry too much. Yes, I was worried that should it be found that the President was not constitutionally eligible to be President, there would be huge problems should he have to be relieved of his duties. Not to mention the fact that I would worry about this country if Joe Biden had to assume the duties of the presidency, I also determined that there may be a great deal of civil unrest... and we know where that could lead.

The other thing that we could worry about is even more profound. Don't we deserve to know that there is no question about the eligibility question? Do we need to be worrying about that, in an obsessive way, while the Obama administration is using that issue to take our attention away from the way this country is going?

Like a good friend reminded me recently, it isn't a good thing if the good old magician trick - the old slight-of-hand, where our attention is kept on one hand, while the other hand is doing something else - and they could be turning this country towards Socialism while our attention is turned elsewhere. That's not a good thing. I have to agree with him.

The interesting thing - and the bad news - is that Obama's staff knows those things. The last thing they would want would be investigative journalists on the WorldNetdaily.com staff, or anywhere else on the web, to be concentrating their efforts on the things that Obama and the Democratic Congress are doing to us. The point my friend made was that if they could discredit all that the truth seekers are doing, so that when the evidence is provided of what Obama's plans are, nobody would believe it. And I agree. My friend is very wise.

The proof of what I just wrote is very evident for those that are watching the news, that those who oppose the "birther" questions want the issue to go away. And yet, maybe that is what they want us to believe, because it is such an easy diversion from what is going on. They know that discrediting Joseph Farah and others will protect that other agenda, keep the attention off of the truth by great investigative journalists, whether or not Obama is qualified to be President of the United States. It could be just a trap, and I've also joined my fellow patriots in falling into it if that is the case.

The scary thing is, though, is that if somebody is seekiing the truth, should we just give up because many others are trying to demean us? The answer is: NO! Emphatically, I tell you, we should not give up in seeking truth. Once that point comes when we have to be afraid to want the truth, we SHOULD be afraid. So be it, I want to know the truth, and if that makes me a "birther," I'll accept that label. I refuse to just look down at the river running below as if I was going to give up. I refuse to just look the other way. And I know that Joseph Farah knows what I'm saying. I guess you can say I, along with Farah, need not to "worry too much" about what others say about about our concerns.

Don't worry too much! Don't give up on seeking the truth, it will set you free. And so be it. I'll be content to be a "birther" if that is what it takes to know the truth.

Joe Biden: Mark my words...

I just returned from my one day retreat in Madison, Wisconsin, and a night off from work, to celebrate my "Christmas In July," my annual celebration of when I was given life, and when the Unites States was born.

The first four days of July, though, is my favorite time of the year, second only to the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays. Anyway, it was very nice to get away for a day. I greatly enjoyed my annual retreat up to Madison, especially since I had to miss the trip last year, somewhat due to the horrible Flood of 2008 in Cedar Rapids and nearly $4.00/gallon gasoline... and no job. I'm back home now, and need to get right back to work.

So, let's get started with this: Over the last months, I've been wondering what Joe Biden was talking about with his famous statement that he made in October of 2008, during the Presidential campaign, when talking to campaign contributors, as transcribed by Fox News from the Hannity and Colmes on October 21, 2008:

JOE BIDEN, (D) VICE PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE: Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We are about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old president of the United States of America.

Remember I said it standing here, if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we are going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. He's going to have to make some really tough — I don't know what the decisions will be — but I promise you, it will occur.

As a student of history that has served seven presidents, I guarantee you it's going to happen. I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate.

So, assuming that Joe-the-gaff-machine was talking about Obama's first 6 months in office, I wanted to know what he may have been talking about, when he said: "I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate." While the story about Biden's "prophesy" was widely covered, I think very few people realized what Biden said really wasn't that big of a head scratcher. Senator Joe Lieberman said it best: "SEN. JOE LIEBERMAN (I), CONNECTICUT: Our enemies will test the new president early. 9/11 happened in the first year of the Bush administration." You see, Biden's comment was more of a statement of fact, rather than a prophesy. Most of our Presidents have been tested in the area of foreign policy early in their first term.

And here we have North Korea being overtly aggressive in "testing," as in possibly two nuclear tests, and their multiple missile tests (including the four short range missiles they launched today). That certainly seems to be testing Obama to see how he reacts. (I haven't seen anything from him other than a rare statement from various government spokesmen.)

And then, Obama is also dealing with the situation(s) in Iran. One situation is the good possibility that Iran's nuclear program could be covertly directed toward a weapons program, though Iran insists that it is for a "peaceful" reasons, for nuclear power plants. (Obama seems to have done nothing yet, other than to offer a little insignificant rhetoric that hasn't made any difference.)

Of course, there are also the demonstations following the election in Iran. (See above; and Obama really never came out and supported the citizenry of a tyrannical Iran... and now, it is barely covered in the news media. Is the situation over? Or, did the tyrannical Mullahs of Iran just stomp out any dissent?)

The jury is still out when it comes to how Obama handles or has handled these situations. But mark my words, remember I wote it here, if you don't remember anything else I wrote here (like about my annual retreat to Madison, Wisconsin), "Watch, we are going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. He's going to have to make some really tough — I don't know what the decisions will be — but I promise you, it will occur." And this could happen in the next few weeks, or even days.

This might be a good time to quit being obsessed with Michael Jackson, or other fallen stars (either the celebrities that have assumed room temperature or the Govenor that ran off to Argentina), and start watching how Obama is handling plenty of world events that may be of great danger to our national security. It's time to be following these events that may be potential threats to this nation. We can not afford to be burying our heads in the sand.

I think it's time to also be praying, both for the recently deceased celebrities, and for the decisions that Barack Obama has to ultimately make. We must pray that the "brilliant 47-year-old president of the United States of America" makes the right decisions when he is tested (in progress now).

A Second Chance?

Just a little more than a month ago (May 19), a strange thing happened at work. We see a few feral felines out at my work site which is in a rural area. But until May 19, I had never seen a domesticated cat out there. That is when I met Pearse.

Unfortunately, pet owners in this part of Iowa, since the flood last year, and because of the economy, have been having problems with either finding places to live that allow pets, or they found they couldn't afford the expense of providing for their pets, or both. So, thinking that the cat was most likely "dumped" by an owner, I took him home with me that morning.

There are times when we have have good intentions, but end up having unintended consequences. On the Saturday before Memorial Day, I was able to take Pearse into the Veterinarian for a check up. The Vet removed a tick from the outside of his ear, gave Pearse the needed initial shots, and put a little flea and tic repellent between Pearse's shoulders. Up until that Vet appointment, Pearse was my little shadow.

Strangely, though, after that appointment, Pearse started doing all he could to not be seen. He started hiding. At first, I was able to find his hiding places. But I also noticed that he had scratched his ear really bad where the tick had been removed. But then, he started scratching his back where the flea and tick stuff (Revolution)was applied, and it became infected. And then, it got to where I couldn't even find him, as his "hiding places" got to be where he knew I wouldn't be able to find him. I wanted to get him back the Vet, but towards the first part of June, I was not able to find him at all. He had found such a good spot to hide, I wasn't able to find him for almost two days.

And then, on June 3, as I was getting ready to go to bed, he came out of hiding. I didn't know it, but apparently Pearse came out of hiding that day to say goodbye. When I got up to get ready for work that night, Moochie (my dog) and I found him; little Pearse had passed away.

Needless to say, I was feeling very bad about that for the last several weeks. Not only did I greatly miss him, I also felt that I was somehow responsible to Pearse's ultimate demise. And, quite honestly and understandably, I also had no desire to get a "replacement cat."

I had that attitude right up until Father's Day, this past Sunday. That was when my attitude was drastically altered, for the good! That night, just as I was getting ready to depart for work, my neighbor knocked on my door. I have to think this scenario had been perfectly choreographed. The first thing my neighbor said was, "I think I've found a replacement cat for you," and seconds later, around the corner of his house, comes this cat. The cat looked exactly like Pearse. My neighbor and I talked for a few minutes, I had a few questions, and I finally told Greg (my neighbor) that I would have to think about it, being that I was just getting ready to leave for work.

I got to work at about 10:00 PM, and I bet it wasn't 20 minutes before I decided that I wanted to adopt the cat. But I still sought advice from my co-workers. Most felt that I SHOULD take in the new cat. And it's ironic, because some of the information I had been told about the cat by my neighbor wasn't exactly accurate. I mean, the information that I had available at the time I was speaking with the co-workers about adopting the cat, was much like George W. Bush's information about WMD in Iraq when he made the decision to go to war.

I made the decision, then, while I was at work, that I would adopt the cat. My plan was, when I got home from work Monday morning, I would look up Greg, the neighbor, and find out where the cat was. My decision was to adopt the "replacement cat" was so solid, that when I was at work, I thought of a name for the cat. It was a no brainger, too. I named him RC. That makes sense, right? Think, "Replacement Cat"!

But instead of having to try to contact Greg, the neighbor, something happened that was the deal maker. Just after getting my dog outside to the fenced in yard, as I was heading back to the house, I heard the "meow," and there he was! And there you go! He (RC) was a new member of the family.

So, despite the few minor skirmeshes between RC and my dog Moochie, everyone is very happy! RC, like Pearse was when I first brought him home, is my shadow. I'm getting a second chance! It was meant to be.

I was wondering what kind of point I was going to make with this column, as I was writing the above. After all, this blog is usually about politics. I'm not going to disappoint you, as I just saw something breaking in the news today. It is very, very sad. What I'm talking about is the story about S.C. Governor Mark Sanford. He "disappeared" for a week. Today, a shocking press conference, where he admits to an extramarital affair. To top it all, Gov. Sanford was actually a potential candidate for the Republican nomination for President for 2012. This is shocking, to say the least. His political career is probably down the drain, not to mention that his marriage will be difficult to keep together. It would be difficult to believe that Gov. Sanford's political career will have a second chance.

All this happens just when I was going to write about the fact that how Obama deals with North Korea and Iran could be deal makers or breakers. I was going to mention the fact that if Obama is wrong about the potential threats, America is in great jeopardy. If the President is EVER wrong about how his foreign policy is run, I'm afraid that he will also not get a second chance. A nuclear attack on America could result in a solid blow against our lives and our liberty as we know it in America.

I was lucky. I got a second chance, an opportunity to make things right with the adoption of my new little buddy, RC. And this wasn't the first time I've been allowed a "second chance." I'm afraid that Gov. Mark Sandford, though, won't be able to get by this in his political career. He's not going to be as lucky as former President Clinton. I will pray that Sanford does have a chance to resolve the marital issues, and that won't be easy, but that will be his only opportunity for a "second chance."

But will Obama get a "second chance" should he be wrong with how he deals with Iran and North Korea? Will America get a "second chance" if we are attacked by terrorists, Iran, or North Korea with a WMD?

And can we always expect a "second chance?" No. However, don't pile on me when I tell you that sometimes a "second chance" can come along, and it is up to us to know when we can reconcile our past mistakes. Hopefully, there will be a mistake America made by electing Barack Obama that we will still have a chance to resolve in November of 2012.

What we are facing: A true "grave danger"

How much scarier can it get?

My colleague Joseph Farah was attacked by a blogger in a post entitled, "Joseph Farah is a serious US domestic danger!" And without some real critical thinking about what was written by the author, Sam Mehrani, it could have been easily overlooked. And I am not even talking about Sam's lousy spelling and grammatical skills. Actually, the real problem I have is that Sam and people like him (or her?) is the real danger in this country.

Wait, didn't I hear almost eight years ago that people were actually complaining because some were saying that those that didn't support the War on Terror were unpatriotic? Apparently, when the tables are turned, it is now unpatriotic to not support "The One." And I quote Sam, when it was written, "The outcome of it so far has become a grave danger [emphasis mine] for the US. It is nothing more than unpatriotic behaviour that should be swiftly delt with." A grave danger... "Unpatriotic behaviour that should be swiftly delt with?"

Sam Mehrani gave us an unintended gift. What was written in that piece displayed the complete picture of what a truly brain-washed devout cult-like follower of a empty-suited figurehead would look like. We can't thank him (her?) enough.

The moronic Mehrani diatribe was spawned by Joseph Farah's quest to get Barack Obama to disclose his actual long-form birth certificate. Seriously, anyone with a neuron or two floating around in their brains would have to really wonder why Barry Hussein Obama would refuse to do so. I don't remember Barack talking about privacy in his campaign speeches. Wasn't his theme about transperency? I mean, the way he was talking, he should be displaying his Social Security Number on the side of Air Force None... I mean, Air Force The One...

What is he hiding? Isn't his refusal to allow public viewing of his long form birth certificate some type of admission of guilt? Why?

But hey, if the Mehranic ones can find a way to demean those that ask the critical questions, they will do so as long as they are enabled by the lame-stream press, and by us. That's right. Even though some of us may feel like we are just a grain of sand on beach, we must speak up. The grave danger would be if when our comrads are attacked, we stay silent.

The Audacity of a Young American Hero

You may or may not be disappointed to find out that the video below is not about Barack Obama if you were going just by the title of this essay. No, this story is about young McKay Hatch, who came up with the "No Cussinig Club." The young man understands more about life than I can say about many so-called "adults." And here is the deal: It isn't just about cussing. This is about what bullies do to people. Wait, before I spoil the story, let me show you this video I saw this morning.

See what I mean? Imagine that, somebody - a young man, none the less - that says (paraphrased), "hey, I'm not into cussing, don't do it around me." Is that not audacity, or what?

And, why do I consider him an American hero? He's like a very young John Wayne. Know what I am saying? Do you know that most adults would back off from saying what they believe, because of the fact that they would fear being "different"?

So, give me a break, Americans. This guy made his statement, he's not backing down, and holy cow, he's letting the bullies know he's not going to take it without a fight. And this is a very, very important lesson we all need to take heed of, right now. Are we going to be afraid to voice our displeasure with what the government hands to us? Will we speak up about the global warming hoax? Stick up for our values? Are we going to allow ourselves to be bullied into not speaking up?

Here's to McKay Hatch, a young man who with courage, who has the audacity to go against the "norm" and make his statement. He said more in those few minutes than I've heard from Obama in the last two years.

Yes, there was that bonus tidbit from this video to enlighten us about courage, but that wasn't what McKay's mission was about. At one time, our parents probably would be giving us a good dose of a mouth full of soap if they heard their kids talk the way people do these days. That surely went out of style following some obscure U.N. Conference on various forms of child torture. Instead, the parents just cuss out the kids when they mess up. Go figure.

I don't know, but when we hear it often enough, as many of us do, it is difficult to keep from succumbing to the peer pressure of the very contagious potty-mouth syndrome. But that is no excuse. Take McKay's challenge, and sanction the language for awhile, especially when you are around kids, and especially if they are YOUR kids. Set the example. And believe me, for some of us, it could be a very great challenge. But, you will see great results from the effort!

Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death (Just don't give me "Abe" Obama)

Tomorrow, you will experience the "change" you have been "hoping for." Before the change happens, though, I hope that you will watch the above video. At least once. I've watched it multiple times, and I lost count.

I heard and saw a few things in this video that told me that today was the day I needed to see this one, along with sharing it with my readers and friends.

It's just hours from right now, and change will begin.

Oh, and I still haven't figured out why Barack Obama decided to be emulating - to the point of obsession and infatuation - Abraham Lincoln, and not Martin Luther King, Jr. And I'm fine with either one of them, really... but haven't his handlers bothered to tell "Abe" Obama that both Lincoln and MLK were Republicans?

Because today is a holiday celebrating the great Martin Luther King, Jr., I dedicate this blog post to him. Yes, he was a hero. I am glad there is a holiday to honor him and celebrate his life.

A Legacy of Mixed Emotions

I'd love to have a chance someday to step into a time machine, and go about 50 years into the future. I would want to be transported into a school library, to check on the one thing that would be the most interesting to find out about: How will history look back at the eight years of the George W. Bush (U. S. President #43) administration?

Before the step into the future takes place, I remind myself of who could control the academics in America when I step into the future. Would the text books be written by historians that have been "educated" (indoctrinated would have been a better word) during this time? While knowing that there could be a liberal bias in the way history will be written, I'll still be hoping that a blog, such as this one written in this time of history, will be found by an inquisitive research historian that actually wants to know all sides of the issues.

My prayer will be that, for those of you that may still be alive in 50 years from now, historians will have made an honest attempt to state the true facts. Whether or not that will happen, only time will tell. But, the reason why it would be good for there to be an accurate and unbiased recounting of this time of history is because of the two important lessons that will hopefully be learned.

In my analysis of the last eight years, there is a significant and definitive moment when the attitude of many Conservative Americans realized that the President they re-elected was not going to be what we expected. There were two distinct periods of this administration where it is divided between high expectations being realized, and extreme disappointment (which is the normal response to have when putting our faith in a man instead of the Higher Power that we should be praising and worshipping).

For many of the Conservative Republicans that voted for a second Bush term, there shouldn't be any reason to feel guilty. The radical change in the direction of the Bush administration came a little after the 2nd term began, and it took most of us by total surprise. (There will be some that will tell us that we shouldn't have been surprised, but that is a subject for a later column about the coming New World Order.)

If we were to find nomenclatures for the two George W. Bush terms, I think I can provide a good starting point for your consideration. The first term would be named the "9/11 Term." At that time, my President was displaying the kind of "September 12th kind of people" we needed to be. Many of us were very proud to be Americans, and we proudly displayed that love of our country.



But then, following George W. Bush's win over John Kerry in November of 2004, there was a change. It was a drastic change, and it resulted in great shame for many people that had always supported the President. While many on the left could easily point to the Hurricane Katrina time for displaying a great lack of compassion on the President's part, I can go one better: This is why I would label the 2nd Bush term as the "Ramos and Compean Term".

Yes, while President Bush was running against John Kerry in the Fall of 2004, I had no doubts about who I would stand up for. I actually worked for his campaign. I had a dream come true when I was able to meet both the President and the First Lady, at the base of the steps from Air Force One. I had no qualms about having the great honor to ride in the motorcade from the Eastern Iowa Airport to the downtown venue where the President spoke to his strong supporters. It was a very happy and proud moment of my life. My belief at that time was that the President was a lot like me. I believed him to be a strong Christian with values that would be very easy for me to share with him.

It was in the second term that things changed. In the midst of a war in Iraq that was beginning to go horribly wrong, we had Hurricane Katrina. It came within W's first year of his second term. Though I wouldn't lay all of the blame at the President's feet, I can also say I wasn't horribly impressed with the performance by the new Department of Homeland Security. And it wasn't long after that, the various conspiracy theories started to come out of the woodwork: Everything from the evil Cheney planning 9/11, to the suspicions that the dikes protecting the 9th Ward in New Orleans were sabatoged by the government. I looked past those loonie ideas as schemes to discredit my heroic President. It wasn't those kinds of things that made me change my opinion to the point of being extremely disappointed.

It was pretty early in 2006 that I started seeing the writing on the wall regarding the President's stance on immigration. It was bad enough that we began to see a departure from Conservative fiscal policies that we would expect from a Republican-controlled Congress. But, when we started hearing the talk about giving amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, Conservatives went ballistic. The boiling point was finally reached when two heroic Border Patrol Agents, Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, were sentenced to prison time for their efforts to stop a drug runner.

It was all during these last two years of the George W. Bush administration that we learned what it meant to be a "globalist." Eight years ago, I never would have expected it. For me, it was all about George W. Bush being a "9/11" President. How sad it was for me to find out just how easily I could fall for such a pretender. For all the pride I had in the man in his first term, how sad it was to see that all evaporate with his 2nd term nurturing of the globalist agenda. No matter how well he will be remembered for his initial ability to bring Conservatives - for that matter, the country - together right after 9/11, it is all going to be forgotten in history based on what he did with his second term.

The Ramos and Compean case has become the theme of that distastrous 2nd term, as it illustrates the true legacy of the Bush 43 presidency. I hate to even have to write that. It is sad, because I saw a resurgence in the respect of the office for those first four years. What a wonderful change that was from the previous occupant in the Oval Room. It was a complete wardrobe makeover - from stained blue dresses to a man that always wore a suit and tie when working in the Oval Office. So sad, as all of that upward spiral in patriotism and seemingly high values and ethics all went down the tubes in the way that Ramos and Compean have been treated.

To the historians who will be writing the text books for our future generations that live decades from now: Please make it clear that we had a President that could have made a big difference in the course of this nation going in a positive direction, and he let it all slip away. We had a President that capitulated to a segment of society that felt that our national security would be better served by the global agenda. And please include the part how people found out that we could be fooled by politicians that were wolves in sheeps' clothing.

They say that the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same things and expecting different results. The textbooks of the future may never reflect the lessons that we have recently learned, should we continue to blindly follow the political system as it now stands. We must never throw the Bush 43 Legacy down the "memory hole," no matter how mixed-up it became. Quite to the contrary, especially now that we know what such a failure can lead to: An ObamaNation.

The Wizard of ODD

In trying to find out if there was anything in Wikipedia for "O.D.D.", I found the following:

Oppositional defiant disorder is a psychiatric category listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders where it is described as an ongoing pattern of disobedient, hostile, and defiant behavior toward authority figures which goes beyond the bounds of normal childhood behavior.

That explains everything, doesn't it?

The President-Elect may have suffered from it when he was a kid, and most likely never recovered. I mean, just look at how much he disrepects America and everything it stands for, our Founding Fathers, the Constitution of the United States, the Star-Spangled Banner, and probably the Pledge of Allegiance.

So, why did I even bother to look up that acronym in the first place? Well, I wanted to coin a new acronym. It was going to be "ODD", meaning Obama Derangement Disorder. And while I find that the American Psychiatric Association has already spoken for the ODD acronym, I had to decide if there was still a way I could utilize this ODD idea in a column.

Let's go back and look at the description of ODD: It is an "ongoing pattern of disobedient, hostile, and defiant behavior toward authority figures which goes beyond the bounds of normal childhood behavior." Hey, it seems that would describe a few of Obama's friends! I mean, well, who could think of more oppositionally defiant people than the Rev. Jeremiah Wright or former domestic terrorist without remorse Bill Ayers?

You do see where I am going with this, right? I think we need to petition the American Psychiatric Association to immediately change the name of ODD from Oppositional Defiant Order to Obama Derangement Disorder, in honor of the President-elect.

I mean, talk about defiance! Not wanting to produce a valid birth certificate? Oppositionally Defiant! Check. Disobedience regarding the Constitution of the United States? Check. Hostility toward anyone that wants to ask questions about his eligibility to be President of the United States? Does having all of your records sealed qualify for hostility? I think so. Check.

But the scariest part of this disorder is that it appears to be contagious. Not just to the point of being an epedemic. It has definitely gone into pandemic proportions! People all over the world seem to be inflicted with this particular strain. It seemed to have been spread at the time that Barack Obama went on his international speaking tour. I seem to remember seeing the news clips of the hoards of humanity that were screaming and shouting, and most likely hallucinating (they seemed to think they were seeing the Messiah!).

There is one more problem that seems to very prevalent among the afflicted. Like HIV lead to AIDS, BDS appears to be leading to ODD. Yes, the chances of somebody with the Bush Derangement Syndrome seems to be directly correlated with the recent ODD pandemic.

There could be a cure, and that is the good news. It doesn't seem to be a genetic disorder, also good news. It was found that uninfected parents can still have offspring that have been diagnosed with this disorder. It is now theorized that the communication of the disorder could be happening in schools and college campuses. It has also been observed that in most cases, adult instructors seemed to be the ones that were the ground-zero point of infection.

Vast resources are going into finding the cure and an inoculation to prevent ODD. The New Media has been doing all we can in order to educate the public. However, it is an overwhelming task to finance the needed research and public education. Unfortunately, just like when the AIDS virus was getting started, the media has not been our friend. The AIDS disease could have been minimized had it become public knowledge much sooner, and now we're having the exact same problem preventing ODD. In fact, it even seems as though the mainstream media sources are not only making this an obscure story, they are also promoting the abhorrent behavior that expands the massive damage to the health of our country, not to mention, our national security.

I am sure that you have seen how tragic this disorder is. It just seems so obvious when you see people that are ODD. The childlike behaviour of believing in the most unbelievable fantasies. I mean, people that only knew one thing about the candidate, and possible source of this deadly behavioral disease, and that was "hope for change." And yes, if you noticed I said "deadly," you would hopefully know just how profound that was. Because it seems like they are willing to watch the suicide of America happen right in front of them, and not say anything (unless you are Glenn Beck).

So, what is real anymore? Is there the Wizard of ODD behind the curtain? Believe me, insanity is just not the way I want to go. I am immune to ODD. I've made sure of that. I made sure my only savior was the REAL One, Jesus Christ. Please innoculate yourself now.

The Obamacide of the United States of America

In a column by Doug Powers this morning, "Life of Riley vs. Life of Brian", I learned a new word: "Obamacide." Now, his use of the word was different than how I am using it. But hey, there are many words that have multiple meanings, right? In the context of this writing, I am using a derivative of the original meaning of the word, coined by Doug, as he expresses in the following:

In Texas, a man committed suicide and left a note asking Obama to "take care of my family," highlighting how the creation of a hopeless dependency culture breeds pitiful indigent lemmings who some days are too depressed to even suck the public teat. Because of this, I coined the word "Obamacide," and I sincerely hope it doesn't catch on.

Sorry, Doug, but the cat has already been let out of the bag. It's too late now. It will likely take on a life of its own now. Only in my expression of the word, "Obamacide," it refers to the millions and millions of people that voted for a person that wants to take away our means of defending our freedom. And I'm not just talking about taking away our arms, but that is where it starts, as shown from a section of CHANGE.GOV, as seen below:

So, am I wrong? Does it seem like there are enough people that would fall for another attempt to limit our ability to arm ourselves? Why did so many people vote for Barack Obama? They either knew very well what would happen, or they had no clue. Actually, take your pick. It was both. The propaganda of the far left worked. Enough people drank the kool-aid. It was mass Obamacide.

And now, there is another problem. A main stream media that will say or print anything (or nothing...take your pick). They seem to be mostly the rabid supporters of the President-elect. There were things they knew about, but neglected to share with us. Oh, but if it was somthing that is anti-Palin, even if it wasn't true, or not verified, it went to the press, above the fold, or headlining the various liberal-slanted networks, or thrown out there by the Soros-produced websites. Well, let's see, how could they? Why would they? Well, here's an example I'll be willing to bet never makes it to page one, above the fold, but maybe those questions will be answered:

Believe me, I am not so sure that this was a matter of the press being duped. They may have been fully aware of what was going on. Just think about that. If you think somebody got one by the press, that the media didn't verify the source.... How do we really know that they didn't know? "A truly trained reporter would know it," says the guest Fox News contributor, Liz Trotta. They didn't check out the story, because maybe they didn't want to. Maybe it wasn't simply neglect to do their jobs. They should have known how to verify the source. But, the story was just too good, and they figured they could get away with it. They drank the kool-aid. The main stream media commited mass Obamacide.

Alone, neither of these stories may have mattered to the masses. When they are combined, though, it is something that should set off the alarms. There is a problem here. I'm just saying that there are dots to be connected.

There are those people that WANT to take away our means of defense, and those that will pretty much believe all that the MSM tells them. And who controls the MSM? Why are there some in power that want to resurrect the "Fairness" Doctrine? And they are also the ones that will probably lead the way to more infringements on our 2nd Amendment rights?

Just say "NO!" to the Obamacide of our freedom of speech. That will be the only thing to prevent the Obamacide on our 2nd Amendment right to arm ourselves. And that would be the Obamacide of our freedom, and the end of the United States of America, as prescribed in our Constitution.

Just say "NO!" to Obamacide, and don't drink the kool-aid!
