I don't want to brag, but like Victoria Jackson, I must also be prescient. When I posted the following video on youtube, I called it right. I knew what the results would be. Here is what I wrote in the video description:
I'll just tell you this right now, the left will make something of this segment. I guarantee it. And they will say things that wouldn't be politically correct, except then they are being hypocritical. But, watch them try to smear the Tea Party Movement, and just watch for the fact that they will try to deflect the blame on us, the Tea Party movement, We the People, the MOB. You will find the most intolerance ever known to the internet once the progressives (the left) see this video. Be prepared for some hateful vitriol. We know who they are, and WE SURROUND THEM!!!
And if you want to see how prescient I was, just read some of the comments that were posted at the video. (Unfortunately, I must warn you, there will be some very vulgar language, and probably even saltier than what Joe Biden said to Barack HUSSEIN Obama the other night. But then, what would you expect from Progressives?)
Now, of course, you know that I'm not really prescient. It was really just a matter of knowing that is how the left reacts to anything that threatens their progressive Marxist religion. Back last summer, during the Congressional August break and the Town Hall meetings, you heard people like Nancy Pelosi claim that the tea partiers were a bunch of Nazi thugs, that we were a mob. And don't forget Janeanne Garofalo's profane vitriol, calling WE the People a bunch of "teabaggers." (For those that don't know, that's slang for something I don't feel is appropriate to mention here.)
Never forget that the Progressive left (the Commies) will continue to do all they can to discredit the Tea Party Movement, to constantly disparage and marginalize us. It's the way they've been taught, whether from some liberal college professor, or by reading Saul Alinsky's "Rules For Radicals."
I don't know if somebody at Fox News was trying to set up the Tea Partiers by getting Victoria on this segment about the Tea Party Express rally in Searchlight, Nevada (home town of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who is going to get trounced in November), in order to marginalize us. That does seem to be a possibility, however. But it doesn't matter. The only people that would criticize Victoria and this video, would of course be - who else? - Progressives. And for that reason, I posted the video, knowing that it would draw them out, and you could see for yourselves what the opposition to freedom is really like. And, it frightens me that people like the Godless heathens who write the vitriolic comments are the same kind of people that are now running this country (into the ground).
Victoria may be just a little goofy, but you have to admire her love for this country and the fact that she is a true patriot and freedom fighter, who is just telling it like it is. And I am going to stand up for her, and with her.
Can you imagine Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck hosting Saturday Night Live together? It could save NBC! But that is not why I put this blog together, and embedded the videos I had uploaded to youtube. If that had been the reason, I just wasted many hours of my time.
Fortunately, that wasn't the case. I did all the work because of just one important reason. This was probably the interview of the century. This is a great teaching tool for anyone that wants people to know what this country is about. These videos should be shown in every school or church that presented Al Gore's inconvenient lies.
Well, now that the Beck/Palin interview has made it to every venue in the Conservative side of the blogosphere, we can be sure that the left will be attacking soon (it has already started). I could spend the rest of my time on this planet by uploading videos I could record from the other networks. They will be going into hysterical mode. You will be seeing that on a grand scale, and probably have already.
With that being said, please allow yourself to watch these segments from Beck's hour with Palin, in the week Sarah was being announced to be a new Fox News Channel contributor, without bias. Whether you are Conservative or Liberal, you can learn from these segments. This is about America, Americans, and Americanism.
Segment 1
Glenn talks about meeting Sarah Palin for the first time, and why he picked the location of the interview.
Segment 2
Sarah Palin tells Glenn Beck that the government is not listening to the people. Both Glenn and Sarah seem to agree that we can't recognize our country.
Segment 3
Who do we trust? The choices are few. This is the part where Glenn asks Sarah about whether she can trust anyone. They also talk about the "Most Admired" list. Sarah talks about keeping grounded. It's just a poll. Glenn talks about people being desperate to find somebody they can trust.
Segment 4
Sarah Palin on Glenn Beck, their first meeting, on Jan. 13, 2010... This is the segment where Sarah talks about the guidance God has given us, and we need to abide by it. Sarah says, "There are eternal ramifications based on what we do here."
Brace yourselves for this segment. Sarah says what she believes. We need to hunker down and be ready for it.
Segment 5
This is where Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin are talking about Trust. How do we know we can trust what's going on - in the White House? Things they are doing, are they trustworthy?
Segment 6
Sarah Palin on Glenn Beck, their first meeting. They hatch an obvious plot to challenge Saturday Night Live to let Glenn and Sarah host a show. It would be what you could call the ultimate shock and awe SNL ever. Just sayin'....
Updated December 23, 2009.I realized today, when I read the original version, it was incomplete, and barely comprehensible. I must have been tired and in a hurry to get it posted. I apologize to my readers, and I hope this edition will be much better!!
Earlier today, I read a great piece by Barbara Simpson, "2010, here I come." She writes:
I've been thinking about my resolutions for 2010, and I've decided this year I will make some and live up to them! It's been a long time. I've decided to be more courageous.
Part of the reason is that I've seen what's happened to my country, and I don't like it. I've seen what the silent censorship of political correctness has created, and I don't like it. I've seen that young people simply don't know about our greatness and how we attained that – not because they're dumb but because they deliberately have not been taught.
Barbara has it so right! I've made a resolution, too, for the same reason. There are changes that I've been working on that I want to share with you today.
It was just ten years ago that I came up with the brilliant idea to start my own website, johnny2k.com. The website went online on January 3, 2000, I believe. My original theme was helping people work from home, using the internet. I fully expected to become a dotcom entrepreneur millionaire within months. I put it all on the line. And then, three months later, we saw the beginning of the dotcom fallout. Al Gore's "invention" wasn't quite working out so well for many dotcom investors, and the bubble burst. It was at that time that I saw the writing on the wall, and my dream of a large financial gain was also vaporized.
Well, fortunately, I've found a greater purpose along the way. Like Barbara Simpson, I haven't liked what I'm seeing, especially in the last 11 months since The One has taken office. So, using the skills that I've developed over the last ten years, it will be my purpose to make sure that the "sheople" are better informed. And on the other side of the coin, I realized that there are many of my fellow patriots that are much better equipped than I when it comes to the ability to adequately inform the masses. So what do I do? I have decided to specialize in finding ways to get more of you exposed to the vast resources now available on the web that just may help us preserve our freedom.
So, what could be a better time to make a transformation, while we see the new decade arrive? The new johnny2k.com will be focused on that one goal, to make sure that you are aware of what is facing America. I will use all of my abilities to show that we are becoming dangerously close to totally losing any freedom that we've enjoyed for the last two centuries. While I am still allowed, I will do all I can to make sure that you are informed of how our freedoms are being diluted.
How much can I do? Over two and a quarter million views of my youtube videos that I've posted in the last three years told me that I may be able to HELP make a difference. Close to 50,000 views of my various forum posts and blogs may mean that there are others out there that also have a desire to understand what is going on. I've been dedicating myself to providing you with information that will help to connect all of the dots. I plan to continue that mission in the next decade, for as long as I'm allowed.
On that note, please allow me to present the following videos to you, even if I'm just preaching to the choir.
December 14, 2009 - Mark Ingram of 'Bama: Heisman Trophy Winner - He knows who to give the credit to!
Ain't it great! Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram knows who to give the credit to: God, family, and team! I am very happy for him!
December 14, 2009 - "I'm in command. Just follow my lead." Do we have a choice?
In a preview of the 2010 edition of "24", Jack Bauer says, "I'm in command. Just follow my lead." Well, that sounds familiar, doesn't it? What a way for them to tell us that some fringe-group tree-huggers are going to be running the coming One World Government, for our own good, of course.
December 17, 2009 - Michelle Malkin on Fox and Friends - Dec. 17, 2009
Steve, Gretchen and Brian talk to Michelle Malkin about a variety of topics.
They start out discussing the health care reform legislation, where Senator Tom Coburn's use of procedures to force the Bernie Sanders Amendment to be read, which results in the amendment being withdrawn.
The next subject to come up is how Ben Bernanke could end up being the Time Magazine Person of the Year. That was pretty weird, as Michelle will explain.
It will keep getting even more outrageous, though. The Govenator takes on Sarah Palin on the climate (apparently he hadn't heard about Climategate)... The climax is what somebody wants to do, like legalizing all illegal immigrants.
December 18, 2009 - Too much information online? A mom tweets right after her son drowns in pool.
A mom has a strange way of reacting after her son his found at the bottom of their swimming pool. She not only twitters about that a half hour after he is found, but then again right after he is pronounced dead.
Dr. Jeffrey Lieberman, Chairman of Columnbia Univ. Psychiatry Dept. discusses the way society is headed because of the social media, and what it may mean that people share so much proprietary information about their lives online.
December 19, 2009 - Just enjoy Andrea Bocelli singing White Christmas (while our country goes down the tubes)
I had so many mixed feelings today. While I wanted to start enjoying the Christmas holiday season, I was finding out that Sen. Ben Nelson (Democrat) of Nebraska decided to go with the Senate version of Health Care Reform, whatever that is (because we haven't seen it yet!). It was very depressing. I have that feeling that WE the People LOST.
December 19, 2009 - The 12 Days before Christmas by the Kenosha WI Police Dept.
Hey, is it just me, or is it Christmas? I don't want JUST a white Christmas, but also one that is very Merry for all of you Santa Claus fans like me! Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!
December 20, 2009 - GOOOH Tim Cox! Tim is the founder of GOOOH - Get Out Of Our House
This is about defeating all incumbents in the House of Representatives. Is that really a good idea? You decide.
December 20, 2009 - December 20, 2009 - John McCain on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace - Part 1
This is a time when to use a football analogy, the Republicans - and We the People - are backed up on their own goal line.
December 20, 2009 - December 20, 2009 - John McCain on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace - Part 2
(Again, I repeat...) This is a time when to use a football analogy, the Republicans - and We the People - are backed up on their own goal line.
FAVORITE OF THE WEEK:
From PatrioticToDaBone:December 22, 2007 - Ronald Reagan Christmas address (12/23/81)
In a world of political correctness and Christmas culture wars, Reagan's national address is almost unbelievable! It is a breath of fresh Christmas air! What happened to the politicians like him who are not afraid to hold fast to the Christian faith despite what others think or say about their Christmas beleifs? God help us by sending more like him back into our country! The challenge: will you speak like this the next time you are given opportunity to speak about your faith? (This video is available for download through www.sermonspice.com)
The first three videos that you will see below set the theme of this week's edition of Last Week on TheREALjohnny2k. As you will see, there is a good reason why I mention that you need to watch the other hand.
As you watch the assortment of videos below, there are things you need to think about. First, ask yourself if you had heard about the story in the mainstream media that is being shown in the videos. If you haven't, don't you wonder why that would be? Could it be that the mainstream media is being used by the Obama Administration and the liberal left-wing cabal now running the whole show in Washington, D.C., to divert your attention from the REAL stories?
Well, you now know something about not just TheREALjohnny2k, my youtube video channel, but the whole purpose of all I do there and on my blogs: It is to allow you to see what the other hand is doing by showing you what ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, and the major newspapers and news magaizines don't want you to find out about. And when they do manage to tell you about some of the stories, they twist and distort them in order to marginalize the messengers. If people like Nancy Pelosi tell you that the tea party participants are right-wing extremists and probably Nazis, the major mainstream news networks will tell you about that. Things like Climategate, where thousands of emails and documents were released from the Climate Research Unit by a hacker or a whistleblower, are marginalized as being criminal and all taken out of context. Kind of like what ACORN and the mainstream press is saying about the videos taken "surreptitiously" by James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles. And, oh boy, you know what the other side (the leftists) say about Glenn Beck! Why, he's just crazy! And you don't want to listen to that Rush Limbaugh guy, he's that drug addict that incites the Rush-bots into being on the Homeland Security watch list.
So, let me ask you: Do you want to be informed? I'm sure most of you probably answered that in the affirmative. However, the second question may be a little more difficult to answer. Who are you being informed by? Could your source of information have an agenda? Probably, because I do. My agenda is to make sure that you have the opportunity to find out about things that you may only learn from a Conservative-based source. Wait, correction: I'll happily provide you with any information sources that aren't being controlled by the White House that I find. What I share with you is all about not being in the tank for the Obama regime.
On a side note, one of the things I've been working on is a Year In Review for 2009. It will involve videos from my youtube channel and blogs that I've posted. That project will be done sometime in early January next year. Another thing that you will be seeing will be a new johnny2k.com. That's right, January 1, 2010 is the Tenth Anniversary of the website that hasn't quite become a household name, but it's getting there, johnny2k.com. I've been thinking about this for the last year or two. I've contemplated a great deal on whether or not I would "change direction," and I've decided NOT to change direction, but to concentrate on a specific path to the ultimate destination: Maintaining freedom in America.
What I've just written has eliminated any possible speculation on my agenda, right? I've now told you exactly what drives me to do what I do.
Any questions?
December 08, 2009 - Glenn Beck on December 7, 2009 - Watch the Other Hand - Part 1
There are no coincidences. The White House knows exactly what they are doing, and they know exactly who they have working with the President. It was no accident. Today, upon receiving a lead from Andrew Breitbart of BigGovernment.com, Glenn exposes even more of the White House personnel with some very shady backgrounds.
December 08, 2009 - Glenn Beck on December 7, 2009 - Watch the Other Hand: Part 2
There are no coincidences. The White House knows exactly what they are doing, and they know exactly who they have working with the President. It was no accident. December 08, 2009 - Glenn Beck on December 7, 2009 - Watch the Other Hand - Part 3
It worries me to be thinking out loud, but so many pieces of the puzzle seem to be coming together these days. Like Glenn is saying, it can't be just a coincidence. And if that is the case, it all has to be intentional. That is what is bothering me. And I hope that if you've been following TheREALjohnny2k, you'll also see a lot of dots being connected.
For me, it is guys like Glenn Beck and Andrew Breitbart, along with patriots and heroes like James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles, our Navy SEALs, and so many more - many who happen to work for Roger Ailes at Fox News Channel. I thank God for individuals that are helping us to stay tuned to what is going on in this world.
December 09, 2009 - Glenn Beck on Dec. 8, 2009: That other guy the mainstream press won't tell you about
And once again, the mainstream press drops the ball. Kind of like when the press didn't talk about Van Jones. Robert Creamer, a felon who did time, was also at the White House for the State Dinner. But while the press talks about the Salahis because they got in without an invitation, they completely ignore the story about the man that wrote the strategy to pass health care legislation - while he was in prison.
December 10, 2009 - Stuff you won't hear on most MSM networks - Patriotism, Cheney, Palin, and Climategate
From Fox & Friends on December 9, 2009. You would never see this on any other network. It is why I watch Fox News.
December 12, 2009 - ACORN will stay funded according to judge
Two clips from Fox & Friends on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, about a judge saying Congress was not allowed to defund any current ACORN contracts. This is a first! Are the courts just following the marching orders from the White House (administrative branch)?
December 12, 2009 - The 'Stuck on Stupid' Gun-Free Zones: Do they make us vulnerable to terrorism?
It's all about SAFETY & SECURITY vs FREEDOM. That's the bottom line. Safety and security are going to be used as a reason to restrict our 2nd Amendment rights. The left makes sure that they will be the only ones with the guns.... to our heads. But if we submit to fear of losing our safety and security, who knows how far down the road we'll go until we have no rights to own a gun.
December 12, 2009 - What a kid! I wonder how many adults are wiser than this 5th grader?
This is just too good! It will make your Christmas, especially if you have kids and they follow this example. I am pretty excited about Christmas after seeing this segment!
December 13, 2009 - Beware of New Age 'Christianity'
Fox & Friends, December 13, 2009 - Father Jonathan Morris, a Fox News contributor, discusses the mixture of Eastern religions and "New Age" secular humanism with Christianity.
December 13, 2009 - Fox & Friends with Newt Gingrich - Sunday, Dec 13, 2009
Newt discusses American terrorists and the War on Terror, the budget deficit, and Sarah Palin.

From therisingfailure: December 11, 2009 - Five Days of Christmas (Obama-lovers parody)
FiVE DAYS OF CHRiSTMAS LYRiCS
On the first day of Christmas, Obama-lovers sent to me, Obama in a bat suit.
On the second day of Christmas, Obama-lovers sent to me, Two men in tights, and Obama in a bat suit.
On the third day of Christmas, Obama-lovers sent to me, Supermans look-alike, Two men in tights, and Obama in a bat suit.
On the fourth day of Christmas, Obama-lovers sent to me, Their only true friends, Supermans look-alike, Two men in tights, and Obama in a bat suit.
On the fifth day of Christmas, Obama-lovers sent to me, Their favorite Playboy cover girl, Their only true friends, Supermans look-alike, Two men in tights, and Obama in a bat suit.
I was told today that I shouldn't talk so much about myself in my blogs. Of course, the person that told me that has to be right. I've learned not to question great wisdom. But to literally apply the great advice I received would negate the entire purpose of this blog today.
Hey, have you ever noticed that difficulties come our way no matter how hard we try (to live our lives in a way that pleases God)? Yeah, stuff happens. A week ago, I was dealing with an allergic reaction to an anti-biotic. And while I was dealing with a situation that may have had life and death consequences, I wasn't about to stop doing what I do. I faced my storm.
New storms remain on the horizon. There are times that it would seem to be so easy to just let the storms go by, and duplicate the ostrich's strategy of sticking our head in the sand. We could just hunker in the bunker. However, the storms coming our way won't be able to be ignored.
In my neck of the woods, they have a saying: "Cry me a river, then build a bridge and get over it!" Maybe that was why I was told not to be telling you my life story. While I agree wholeheartedly with that sage advice, it was my intention all along to let you know that we can face the absolute adversity, and get over that, too!
Last week, as ill as I was, I still managed to maintain the fortitude to get some great videos posted to my youtube channel. Get ready to see some good stuff!
And most of all, take note of what former Israeli Ambassador to the U.N. Dan Gillerman says: "Yes we can, yes we must, and yes we will."
November 22, 2009 - This is today (22-NOV-09), and this is for real
Former Israeli Ambassador to the U.N. Dan Gillerman talks about what needs to be done about Iran.
November 23, 2009 - Freedom, Family and Faith ~ By Ricky Lee Jackson
Ricky Lee Jackson, a family practice physician, also sings country music. He wrote this song because he wants to take this country back.
November 25, 2009 - Sarah Palin's problems with the media
John Ziglar discusses his documentary, "How Obama Got Elected", and how it relates to Sarah Palin on Fox and Friends, on Nov 22.
November 25, 2009 - Mike Ditka on Fox & Friends
Mike Ditka discusses leadership, Obama, Sarah Palin and Afghanistan.
November 25, 2009 - Navy SEALs accused of giving a terrorist a fat lip
Three Navy SEALs are being charged for assault on a detainee, the terrorist that killed the four Black Water employees in Fallujah and hung them from a bridge.
November 26, 2009 - Gretchen Carlson Interview with Sarah Palin at The Villages
Nov. 25, 2009 - The Gretchen Carlson interview with Sarah Palin at The Villages, on Fox & Friends.
This interview focuses on women "breaking through the glass ceiling," the barriers that keep women from making it to the top.
And, yeah, Palin/Beck 2012 sounds good to me! And no, I'm not kidding. I'm just sayin' ...
November 29, 2009 - Israeli Ambassador Dan Gillerman: "Yes we can, yes we must, and yes we will"
Former Israeli Ambassador to the U.N. Dan Gillerman lets us know that Israel is ready, willing and able to take out nuke plants in Iran should diplomacy not work.
Israel obviously has a clock clicking down to the point of no return. With Iran's announcement that they will build 10 more nuclear processing plants, has that moved Israel's time clock up a few minutes? How long Israel go before they have to make a pre-emptive strike?
FAVORITE(s) OF THE WEEK:
There are two favorites this week. You will enjoy them both!
From konshito: November 02, 2006: SSgt Barry Sadler, Ballad of the green beret
A parody of "Draggin the Line" by Tommy James and the Shondells. Which I think is where the term "Treehugger" comes from "Huggin a tree when you get near it" was the original lyric which I replaced with "you should have chopped more trees instead of hugging them"
I've been late to work because of hitting that snooze button a few too many times. The alarm goes off, and I'm seemingly oblivious to what I need to be doing. Please, just nine more minutes of sleep!
And I wouldn't be surprised to know that some of you that are reading this have been holed up in some motel room with an important appointment to get to, or a flight to catch, and that "wake-up call" from your hotel never comes.
Well? Which is it that I'm talking about? Which scenario could explain how liberty is lost? There is only one obvious answer: Both.
But wait, there is that third kind of wake-up call. I remember that in Basic Training camp when I went into the Air Force, there was that reveille, the signal to arise. For some of the more sound sleepers, it took seeing others up and about that got them up and going. Uh, no, there was no "snooze alarm" in this scenario.
There may be some tense moments for you as you read this piece. Good, because it's my hope you'll figure out who you are.
Are you the person that hears the snooze alarm going off, most of the time? As you hit that magic button allowing you a few more minutes of the desired sleep, are you like those that say, "Life's good, quit bothering me about WAKING UP!"?
Hopefully, you aren't one of those WAITING for the wake-up call. That is those of you that depend on the Mainstream Media for the "wake-up" call that will never come. It is a horrible feeling to wake up a few hours too late. There is nothing worse than knowing the disaster has already happened, and there isn't any way to reverse what just happened. You just missed your flight... Or, you just missed being able to make a difference. Bad feeling, you know.
Now, let's take a look at that last scenario, where some don't wake up until reveille sounds, and others are moving about. I really don't have a problem with that scenario; it explains most of us. While guys like Doug Hoffman blew the trumpet for reveille, there were some that were quick to rise like Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann, and some that stayed between the sheets, hitting that snooze button, which was probably most of us.
Well, hopefully this is YOUR wake-up call. Whether it is my initial alarm or one of the snooze alarms, I still have my clock-radio alarm turned up to maximum volume. Hopefully, you will do the same. I'm hoping that you'll also wake up soon enough. There's nothing worse than missing an appointment, ignoring the signs that you know of, or being oblivious to all that is going on.
You don't won't to wake up only to find out that your freedom has been lost, now, do you?
You know when you are winning, in the great battle for hearts and minds, when the other side has to lower themselves to the point of having to demean their opponents. And one more time, as would be expected, a liberal has to try to call the Governor of Alaska "dumb". Oh, how so original!
So, I'm watching Hannity tonight, and Sean and his panel are talking about Sonia Sotomayor, and the Senate hearings on Tuesday. However, out of nowhere, one of the panelists, left-wing Hollywood liberal Tom Arnold comes up with a slam on Governor Sarah Palin. It was completely off the topic. He had to slip it in, because that is what liberals know how to do best. They're all about denigrating the opposition. This had to do with Sarah's column that the Washington Post posted on Tuesday, "The 'Cap And Tax' Dead End" ~ By Sarah Palin.
I think that you should see this segment to get the gist of what I'm saying:
Let me ask: Do you see what is going on here? Do we dare question "the authorities?" Do we dare to say that man-caused global warming is not only a myth, but a dangerous and criminal scam on America? Can we dare to call a duck a duck, and mention that Barack Hussein Obama may not be qualified to be President of the United States under the eligibility requirements of the Constitution in Article 2, Section 1? How dare we ask him to produce his long-form birth certificate!
And while he may not even be constitionally eligible to be the President of the United States, he is purposefully... intentionally... and with malice aforethought, destroying this country economically. It is amusing to see how bad a person could be torn to shreds for suspecting that Obama could be a globalist, not to mention, a Marxist... even when it would seem to be true.
For over two years, I had submitted many stories from WorldNetDaily.com on to digg.com. Many of the articles I submitted were by Joseph Farah, Pat Boone and Chuck Norris. Rarely were there any negative comments on those threads that weren't completely derogatory regarding the authors. Those negative comments didn't discuss why the column was wrong in their opinion, other than saying the writer was irrelevant or in some way lacking intelligence.
There are so many more examples that I can produce to make my point. Where would I even start? Would it be with the way atheists disparage Christians? The way that Perez Hilton ridiculed Carrie Prejean for her courageous act of saying what she believes? And of course, I'd want to mention David Letterman's derisive joke about Sarah Palin's family not too long ago. But the most extreme illustration in supporting my case is during those eight years when George W. Bush was President. There was never any end to the contemptuous, disdainful rhetoric regarding the President's speaking gaffes.
Im hoping that Governor Sarah Palin, soon to be a private citizen, will understand that no matter what she does now, she will be be continuously assailed on a very personal basis. But there is a positive thing to come from the situation if she handles it right. All she needs to be able to do is deal with it, and teach us "tea-bagging rednecks from fly-over country that cling to our guns and bibles" that we will be attacked, too, and that is just what the detracters will continue to do.
So what do we need to learn? It's easy: Just consider the source!
If that isn't possible for you to develop a thick skin and ignore the guffaws from the cheap-shot section, then you better learn how to conform to the worldly vision of how America should be. When you are attacked for expressing your values, just consider the source, and brush it off. Some of the barbs that get shot our way will hurt. Get used to it, or get out of the battle.
A Change I Can Believe In: Glenn Beck is being added to the Fox News Network lineup starting in January 2009.
On his very first appearance on the curved couch on Fox & Friends, he makes a great point about what Sarah Palin had to go through with her McCain campaign "handlers." Yeah, good job, McCain campaign. No wonder why Sarah Palin went "rogue", which started at about the time when "Joe the Plumber" appeared on the scene. Here is the first segment:
Before I start talking about some more serious stuff, let me first point out an observation that Glenn made towards the end of the above video. Glenn, as a husband, understood the "look" that Todd Palin was giving John McCain during the concession speech. Well, could it be that Todd had by chance seen this following video?
In light of what I just heard while working on this, straight out of the mouth of Glenn Beck while doing his morning show, not one thing I wrote above really makes any difference now. What I just heard was a man that was not afraid to share his Love for the Lord on the air. Well, add that to the fact that somebody commented on the first video, saying that CNN was cancelling Glenn's contract, and that was why he was going to Fox.
Hey, maybe now we will know why CNN cancelled his contract; they were afraid - very afraid - to have a true believer in their line up!
I hand it to Roger Ailes and Fox News Channel. I am sure they knew where Glenn stands. They had to know. Glenn's book, "The Christmas Sweater," is now on the shelves. It's a novel, but I am sure it is as revealing of Glenn's beliefs as "Dreams of My Father" was of Barack Obama... only from a whole different point of view.
Yes, this morning, Glenn was talking about emails he's received about "The Christmas Sweater," and I heard his voice break up... not because of radio static... No, I heard Glenn have a good and well deserved "choke up" moment. I was right there with him. Me, too, Glenn.
When the "Fairness Doctrine" goes back into affect, I guess that maybe Roger Ailes will have to go ahead and hire ALL of the great talk radio hosts, and then tell the FCC to ... uh, never mind. But, you get the drift? Apparently, TV networks can put on what ever biased news that they want to - fair and balanced is obviously not a requirement like on radio networks.
Let's go another step further, just to keep the news balanced. Fox News Channel needs to have a segment at least once a week with Sarah Palin, as a Fox News contributor... No, wait. Not just one segment a week, but as many as they can on every one of the shows in the Fox News line up! (I wonder, though, if Huckabee would go for that idea? Hey, Huck! Think future Cabinet post!!)
Glenn Beck, on Fox News Channel, that is a change I CAN BELIEVE IN! Will Rush be next?
There is a good chance that Barack Obama has nightmares, night after night. As the election gets close, he's got to be having those kind of nights where he just wants to wake up. And in the meantime, Americans ARE waking up, which is why Barack is having those nightmares.
There are a couple great Americans that have recently woken up to smell the coffee. There's one in particular that must have gone around shaking the rest of us awake, and wiping the sandman's residue from our eyes. The voice of "Joe the Plumber" suddenly came out loud and clear. People heard the call. And despite the fact that the Obama campaign tried to clamp down on the press, their efforts didn't quite muffle the voice of Samuel J. "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher, somebody else caught on.
That's right. There was somebody else that was new on "the scene," somebody that had to wait patiently in the wings. Suddenly, that person, a Governor, a woman, began speaking up. And what this "obscure" Veep candidate did was to fire up the real base of the party to defeat the Obamanation:
And suddenly, the inspiration to keep on keeping on seemed to spread. Yes, a hug really helps now and then!
Well, inspiration seems to be contagious! Have you seen anything like this in the McCain campaign?
Okay, so I am sufficiently fired up. Yes, first there was Governor Sarah Palin and Todd Palin and the family; then, on the scene comes "Joe the Plumber". Until the "Joe the Plumber question, the Obama 'Spread the wealth' answer", the GOP was trying to hold Sarah back. Suddenly, though, the fuse was lit. One guy, an obscure American that was just trying to mind his own life, got things started. Next thing he knows, he's in the spotlight, and then he's being investigated.
Have you wondered why?
There is somebody that is very afraid that he could still lose the election. That person is doing all he can to silence this story, but it is of no avail. He feels the "heat". Though the pundits would say it was too late, there are those of us that are just plain fired up. You betcha!
Apparently, we (concerned citizens, patriots, the New Media, "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher, Sarah Palin) have made somebody very, very angry. Well, you see the problem, don't you? We weren't supposed to know that Barack Obama is a Socialist (or worse). We were also supposed to be kept unaware of what Obama's promise of "change" would be.
The main stream media was doing everything they could to keep it a secret. And now that the "secret plan of Socialism" is exposed, thanks to Joe the Plumber and Gov. Sarah Palin, we are also now becoming aware of the tyranny that is a natural by-product of Socialism... We weren't supposed to know about that, either!
And then, while watching Neil Cavutto on Fox News Saturday morning, I was able to capture the following segment from the show:
The investigation that Neil and Joe are talking about in the video above is an extreme case of abuse of power, obviously by Obama allies. Here is part of the story from http://www.therightperspective.com/:
State and local officials in Columbus, Ohio are investigating if state and law-enforcement computer systems were illegally accessed when they were tapped for personal information about Joe “the Plumber” Wurzelbacher.
Information on Wurzelbacher’s driver’s license or his sport-utility vehicle was pulled from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles database three times shortly after the debate, reports The Dispatch. The info was accessed by accounts assigned to the office of Ohio Attorney General Nancy H. Rogers, the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency and the Toledo Police Department.
Now, that adds even more interest to this story. Being that Ohio Attorney General Nancy H. Rogers is most likely - no, wait, let's go with obviously - a very strong ally of Barack Obama, it is time to call for a special prosecutor and FBI investigation into this case. Nancy Rogers can not be trusted to investigate her own office.
And now, keep in mind, this is the one and the same Nancy H. Rogers that was ordered by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in "an emergency ruling requiring the state to generate a list of more than 200,000 new voters whose information did not match other state records", and then on emergency review, got the U. S. Supreme Court to vacate that ruling. Here is more about that from AlterNet.org, By Wendy Weiser, Brennan Center for Justice, October 22, 2008:
On September 26, 2008, the Ohio Republican Party asked a federal court to issue an emergency ruling requiring the state to generate a list of more than 200,000 new voters whose information did not match other state records, presumably so those voters could be purged from the rolls right before the election, forced to vote provisional ballots, or challenged at the polls. They asked the court before the absentee ballots cast by new registrants were opened and counted. A federal court granted the temporary restraining order, and after a three-judge panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit stayed that order, the full appeals court, sitting en banc, reinstated it. On emergency review, the U.S. Supreme Court vacated the TRO on October 17, 2008, preventing chaos in the election in Ohio and protectinghundreds of thousands of Ohio citizens from disenfranchisement-by-typo.
While I am willing to graciously admit that the U.S. Supreme Court may have made the right decision in this case, the information above does indicate the unwillingness from the Ohio Attorney General's office, run by Nancy Rogers, to resolve the issue of the possibility of thousands of fraudulent voter registrations, garnered mostly by ACORN (another Obama ally). On May 28, 2008, Governor Ted Strickland (a staunch Democrat) named Rogers as Attorney General, replacing Marc Dann (who resigned due to a scandal - see the link to the wiki site from the hyperlink from Marc Dann).
Of course, this information does not prove that Ohio Attorney General Nancy Hardin Rogers had a direct connection to the investigation of Joe Wurzelbacher, but it does illustrate the influence that the Attorney General's office may have had in what should be the "October Surprise" we've been waiting for.
It is one thing for the drive-by media and the Democrat party to send many reporters and lawyers to Alaska to investigate (i.e. dig up dirt on) Gov. Sarah Palin, now the candidate for V.P. on the Republican ticket with John McCain. That is pretty much to be expected. But, for someone, or some group, to start trying to find dirt on Joe Wurzelbacher, is unconscionable. The fact that the info was accessed from three seperate government entities, shortly after the last Presidential Debate, where "Joe the Plumber" was mentioned numerous times, should be enough to make us all shudder.
I fear the worst in this breaking news. I do not think that there is anything to be found on Mr. Wurzelbacher that could make any difference regarding his question to Barack Obama. That water has already gone over the dam. What is frightening is the thought that somebody would use the information to go after good old Joe the Plumber, just to make his life miserable. And this is the MOST terrifying part of all: Is this their way of retaliating against Joe the Plumber for his question, and letting the cat out of the bag about Obama being a Socialist?
Is this a "suggestion" (a message) by "the powers that be" to citizens, that we best not ask any more questions "if you know what's good for you"?
Will one of us average people out here in the blogosphere face the same treatment as "Joe the Plumber"? Will you soon be reading about what they did to "Johnny the Blogger"?
Acknowledgement - Giving credit where credit is due! I want thank Peter Goodman (NewsGuy2005 on digg.com) for telling me about a story that was on therightperspective.com. To be honest, the only material I really had to work with before I was directed to Joe the Plumber Background Check Investigated was the video embedded above. The story Peter alerted me to turned out to be the piece of the puzzle I needed to get this blog written today. He "shouted" the story to me just at the right time.
This acknowledgement is written for another reason along with being an opportunity to thank Peter. What this illustrates is that the passion Conservatives are sharing at this time can be very valuable when we assist each other in our efforts. By collaborating on stories, sharing information, promoting each other's works, and edifying our cohorts, the amount of influence and credibility that we can gain is immense. It is also a way that we can cover each other's six (back side).
And like Rush Limbaugh stated just the other day, our side must win, Obama must be defeated, even if we have to drag John McCain over the finish line. (Paraphrased.) Which leads me to a final acknowledgement, and that is to thank "Joe the Plumber", Mr. Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, for being in the right place at the right time, and somehow sparking a campaign that may have been fizzling. It's a whole different story now.
Oh, and for Sarah Palin, just for being the champion of the Conservative movement. You rock, Sarah!
I am a Conservative blogger - part of the vast right-wing conspiracy - that is not afraid to tell you what I think about both politics and my Christian beliefs.
