Setting the Stage - Part 6: Could the Eagle Crash and Burn?

EDITOR'S NOTE

The major theme of this column is about giving up rights in order to be secure. Four years later, my views may have changed a tad bit. The reason my views changed? When I wrote this, I felt that the Bush administration would not have a reason to use our communications against us if we weren't actual terrorists. Well, now, I am not so confident that is the case with the Obama administration. It's all different now.

Just about two years ago, on April 12, 2009, we had this story:

A newly unclassified Department of Homeland Security report warns against the possibility of violence by unnamed "right-wing extremists" concerned about illegal immigration, increasing federal power, restrictions on firearms, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty and singles out returning war veterans as particular threats.

And it doesn't stop there. Now we have organizations tied to George Soros trying to put a stop to Glenn Beck and Fox News. And it gets even better. Social networks like Facebook and youtube and digg.com have been ominously shutting down Conservative users that have somehow violated obscure "terms of service" (a subject that I plan to write about in the near future, with information that will support that claim).

With that being said, please keep in mind how a shift in focus from Islamic terrorism to domestic terrorism makes what I wrote almost five years ago now have an even more ominous meaning.

I love America. That is why this installment has been the most difficult to write. Because what I see happening to this country scares me, and I firmly believe that it could drastically change the way life is as we know it! Just about a week ago, on Aug. 15, 2006, while watching Fox News, I heard President Bush say, "The enemy has got an advantage when it comes to attacking our homeland - they've got to be right one time, and we've got to be right a hundred percent of the time to protect the American people." [President Bush Meets with Counterterrorism Team, August 15, 2006 (link no longer available)] It had a familiar ring to it. I had a feeling I've heard it before. Sure enough, I found another event that he had said this. But I had no idea how long ago it had been:

"You know, we have to be right 100 percent of the time. And the enemy only has to be right once to hurt us." [President Bush, September 30, 2004 in the First Bush-Kerry Presidential Debate with John Kerry, Presidential candidate for the Democrats in 2004: (Link no longer available)]

President Bush was right when he said it in 2004, and he is still right now. And what is so amazing is that in these five years since September 11, 2001, so far, we have been right 100 percent of the time. So far. It has either been a miracle that America hasn't been attacked since 9/11, or, the next attack is still in the preparation phase.

Unfortunately, it is more likely the latter possibility, that another attack on America is yet to come. Since that horrible day in September 2001, I've continued to have a dark cloud hanging over me, wondering when the other shoe would fall. Frankly, I've been surprised that there had not yet been another attack. But in these five years, my personal analysis of that has developed from a greater understanding of the current situation. (Which of course, this is the purpose of writing this topic, "Setting the Stage"!)

One of the first things I learned was that al-Qaida takes it's time to plan an attack. They are very patient. From the first time the World Trade Center was bombed in 1993, it was another eight years before another attack on the WTC took place, which unfortunately succeeded on the second attempt to knock down the towers. Our enemy has an advantage because of their patience. It seems that the American population has a tendency to let our guard down. This is why America needs to maintain total vigilance in the effort to prevent the next attack.

But this is where I start getting very nervous. It all seems to do with politics. I felt strongly about that during the Bill Clinton era. But even with my preferred party in control of the White House, Congress, and the Supreme Court, there is still reason for great concern.

One of the big debates that comes to mind is the ability to balance our civil liberties with winning the war on terrorism. Keep in mind the fact that we are fighting this war on terror for the reason that we want to keep our civil liberties, and for that matter, to stay alive. On the other hand, the freedom of the press allowed the New York Times to disclose major intelligence operations that the United States had been using to fight the war on terror.

Though I still want my civil liberties kept intact, I understand what would happen to our freedoms if we lost the War On Terror. And I firmly believe now that it will take all that we have to win, but it could take just one terrorist attack that succeeds could easily result in a total victory for our adversary, the terrorists. For the U.S. to defend the country, our forces need to know what the bad guys are planning. It is difficult to get people inside the al-Qaida organization far enough to spy on them to find out what the leadership is planning on doing. It may be easy to infiltrate a terrorist cell, but getting much further beyond that would be extremely difficult. So, let me ask you, how would you be able to find out what they are planning if the U.S. intelligence agencies didn't somehow monitor telephone, cell phone, and internet communications?

And yes, we want our press to be free. There would be no Fox News if some far left liberals had the ability to suppress the media. A far Right regime with the power to totally control the press would be just as dangerous. However, I believe that the American media should use their freedoms wisely, and not disclose information that hinders our efforts in the War On Terror. Hey, I know that those big stories about the government monitoring phone calls we have with Mom sell papers, even though that really isn't what our intelligence agencies were actually doing. Now, think about it, is our government going to worry about how great Grandma's tomato crop was this year? Or, are they gong to worry about calls to Pakistan or Afghanistan, which I would hope would be the case. That would be nice.

As I titled this segment of "Setting the Stage", Part 6 - Could the Eagle Crash and Burn?, I wanted to bring it to your attention how that line, "The enemy has got an advantage when it comes to attacking our homeland - they've got to be right one time, and we've got to be right a hundred percent of the time to protect the American people." That ONE time that the enemy is right could spell the end of this country as we now know it.

Okay, it would obviously take more than ONE 9/11 to completely destroy America. But it has been so long since another attack that drastic that America was able to come back, hopefully stronger than ever. The United States was hit hard, but not hard enough to devastate our economy. It was tough for awhile, but American perseverance got us out of that funk in a hurry. The U.S. may have bent, but we didn't break.

What we went through 5 years ago was difficult. That was ONE where the terrorists were right (they accomplished their objective). But, what if the next attack is by far worse? Could it happen? You decide. Let me explain what COULD be done that would basically lead to a tragic end to our way of life. But, before I do that, please let me explain my objective isn't to scare you. I only want you to be aware of just why we may have to make some sacrifices in order NOT to be WRONG that ONE time! I need to warn you, if you were to think about these things I'll tell you that could happen right before you go to bed, you may not get to sleep right away. You may not be able to sleep at all! So do not read the rest of this post just before you go to bed today.

Think about this scenario: A few terrorists sneak across the border with Mexico, in trucks cleared to go through the border with little or no inspection (thanks to NAFTA), and they have nuclear weapon components on board. Everything goes as planned, and seven major U.S. cities are vaporized with nuclear weapons. New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Seattle and Kansas City, all on the same day. Our major infrastructure centers of government, defense, commerce and finance, technology, communications and transportation would all have suffered crucial blows. Seeing how long it will be to rebuild New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, I'll let you figure out how long it would take to rebuild the vital centers of infrastructure.

But wait, I've just begun. While you may be thinking that would be a long shot for the terrorists to accomplish (which you could be totally wrong to believe), there are other things that would really make our lives a big mess. The previous scenario would be a VERY big win for terrorists, but it would take a great amount of planning and coordination to accomplish. And I am not sure if our enemy is incapable of such an attack. But let's look at one other scenario that would take much less of an accomplishment and still have devastating results for this country. Have you ever heard of the EMP weapon? EMP stands for Electro-Magnetic Pulse. ONE nuclear bomb somewhere over this country, a few miles up, will fry most of the computer processors and circuits in a very wide area. The nuclear weapon sends out a huge amount of radioactive, electromagnetic doses of energy. There was a Congressional study that confirms the massive damage that would be done to our infrastructure should such a thing happen. ONE submarine off the East or West coast, ONE missle capable of reaching the Midwest...

While you may think it just isn't possible for a hit such as those I've mentioned above, you may want to think again. Remember The Evil Axis that I wrote about earlier in this topic. It only takes one rogue country to sell a nuclear weapon or two to a terrorist organization. Iran bought high-tech subs from France. There are stories of rogue ex-nuclear scientists from the Soviet Union days that would sell weapons to terrorists. There is A.Q. Khan, the Pakistani scientist that has supplied rogue countries at the top of the President's "Axis of Evil" list with instructions and materials to build nuclear weapons. You decide.

And while you are making decisions, please consider if all your rights to complete privacy would be sacrificed or not if it meant keeping the evil terrorists from being right that ONE time. At the very least, consider which of your rights you would be willing to sacrifice if it meant that the United States was ALWAYS right.

I know, it does make me think. How much of our civil liberties would we be willing to give up if that is what it takes to win the War On Terror? But once again, an even scarier thought came across my mind. Yes, I know this will probably come off sounding like a sci-fi flick about a one-world ruler controlling our every move and thought like we were robots... Or possibly in another reality, in a parallel universe.... Do you get the drift? If that "evil entity" that wants to rule the world were to come up with a plot where our civil liberties were eroded, little by little, so as to someday make it impossible for us to be able to revolt, we would be led to believe that our security was at risk. We would allow that erosion of freedom in the name of securing our great land. Little by little...

I still believe in this country. I believe in what I grew up to know that the United States of America stands for. I was lucky to grow up in a time that my teachers in school instilled the love of Freedom that I have. There wasn't the revision of history as our children now get out of school. Believe me, I could write volumes of books about what I see happening to the United States that could lead to the demise of this wonderful country, as many of us still remember.

So, here is what I want to get across to my readers. What I write isn't meant to instill fear in you. It is meant to inform you. I firmly believe that the information that I discuss in this topic will help you make the right decisions. I know how relative my credibility is to how serious you will regard what I write in this topic. I've been doing my best to establish the foundation to some of the revelations I have had, so that you WILL at least consider some of things I write about with not fear, but hope. I am mentioning this now because the next installment of this topic will be going into various areas that touch on the "fringes" of our collective rationality. Don't worry, baby, you'll see what I mean when that post is written... Coming soon, as they say.

In the past four weeks, there was a war going on. We heard about it day after day on all the news networks. And in the mainstream press, it is charged that Isreal took disproportionate retaliation against the terror group, Hezbollah, for their killing and capture of Israeli soldiers.

Just in case you haven't been following the news, I'll clue you in on a few facts about this war, and why Israel is fighting for her survival. In this installment of "Setting the Stage", you'll also find out why there are so many countries or terrorist groups that want to destroy Israel and America.

Following WWII and the Hitler-led Nazi genocide of over 6 million Jews, the World, through the newly established United Nations, decided to give the Jews their own country, their own land, the land that God "promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob" [Genesis 50:24 (NIV)]. (You can learn more about God's covenant with Abram, renamed as Abraham by God, in Genesis 15 and Genesis 17.) So, in 1948, Israel became a sovereign nation. And the Jews began returning to their land promised to them by God. However, since those days of 1948, and long before, the Israelis have had no peace.

A group of Arabs, dubbed the name "Palestinians", were supposedly displaced by the establishment of the nation of Israel. Since that time, the "displaced" Palestinians have been used by the Islamic world as an excuse to attack Isreal. I believe, though, that God has been true to His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to protect His children of Isreal. Despite Israel's many enemies, whether it be Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, or terrorist organizations such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and the PLO, Israel has maintained a military second only to America, and has been able to fight off all attacks.

In this recent battle, the one that was just "ended" by a United Nations resolution to cease fire, there were no victories. Hezbollah, sponsored by Iran and Syria, did not win. However, there are some people, mostly on the side of the Islamofascist terrorists, feel that Hezbollah was the winner. To a certain degree, those people would be correct. That is because Hezbollah wasn't totally wiped out, and they can begin regrouping their forces and resupplying their weapons to fight on another day. So, they really didn't "lose".

As for Israel, the conflict with Hezbollah may have been called to a halt by the cease fire, but the war is not over. That is the war for Israel's very survival. That is the war with The Evil Axis. The President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, calls for the annihilation of Israel. Ahmadinejad has openly stated that Israel should be wiped off the map. Keeping in mind the danger this man, and his evil regime poses to Israel, and the world, Iran is the main backer of Hezbollah. They trained the Hezbollah militia, supplied their weapons, and even had Iranian troops in Lebanon assisting with the firing of the Katyusha rockets at Israel. Iran was fighting a war against Israel using Hezbollah as proxy force.

Keeping in mind that the Katyusha rockets that rained down on Israel from Hezbollah fighters in Southern Lebanon were deadly, they were far from being able to "wipe Israel off the map". The point is that the 35 day war between Israel and Hezbollah took the media attention off Iran's efforts to develop nuclear weapons. On August 22, 2006, Iran is supposed to give an answer to the United Nations regarding their nuclear incentives offer. And here is the very scarey fact about this particular date. Aug. 22 happens to correspond to the 27th day of the month of Rajab of the year 1427. So, why is that anything to worry about? There is Bernard Lewis, a Mideast expert from Princeton University, that explains how Shiite Muslims may pick that date for a cataclysm that will bring back the 12th Imam. And, Ahmadinejad is promising a light in the sky over the Aqsa Mosque, which is in Jerusalem, by August 22.

Because the Jews are God's Chosen People, and that He has a covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, I know that Israel will not be wiped off the map as Ahmadinejad has proposed. What I also know now is that these looming events, and what has taken place in the Mideast in the past month, are "Setting the Stage".

Some people that are reading this installment are now rolling their eyes. There's a good chance that they may believe that I am out here in the cyber-world writing about a doom and gloom forcast of things to come. And then there are Christians that will say that I am trying to prophecy the Second Coming, which is something that we don't know the time God has planned that for. But keep these verses from Matthew 24 in mind:

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

Jesus answered:

"Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains." [Matthew 24:3-8]

My purpose for writing this topic, "Setting the Stage", is not to suggest that I have some devine gift to prophecy. Much of what I have been writing has been based on my intuition regarding events we are currently witnessing in this world. The only thing that I take personal credit for - because the rest of the credit goes to the Lord - is that I have taken the time to inform myself, and then pass on this information to you. All the credit goes to God for leading me to some awesome sources and paying attention to the information I come across.

In the next installment, assuming there is still time to write it, I'm going to be telling you about... Oh, wait a minute, I am not sure I want to give it away quite yet. It has to do with America. And it deals with decisions that you may be forced to make. I don't want to alarm you, but a lot of things are yet to unfold, which is why this ongoing topic will continue to include the latest breaking news. And as the front page of johnny2k.com states, "Now is the time to pray for America!".

So what should happen when we find out that we are wrong about something? (It may be something that more journalists should try doing.) Just admit the error and make the correction. I was pretty sure that I had it right, too, but Joseph Farah made a point that I could not disregard. It made a lot of sense. And in these days, I have no doubt that Iran will exploit the blunder Israel seemed to have made almost five years ago.

In the previous installment to this topic, "Setting the Stage - Part 5, God's Chosen People", I wrote something that I feel needs to be corrected, or at least, amended:

In the two days since the I wrote the previous post, I have learned something. I have found out that it is NOT just people "mostly on the side of the Islamofascist terrorists" that feel that Hezbollah won or Israel lost the conflict that began on July 12, 2006. In fact, after my further contemplation on this subject since the post I wrote the other day, I would be one of the people that feels that Israel could have and should have wiped out Hezbollah, but didn't. And because of that, Israel lost, Hezbollah won.

There would be a lot more I could write on this subject this morning, but if I did, it would end up plagiarizing an excellent commentary that I just read that appeared on www.WorldNetDaily.com just this morning. Joseph Farah, founder, editor and CEO of WND, posted his commentary, "Israel's terminal illness". (You can click on the title to the article and go to that page in a new browser window [or tab].) Joseph Farah is absolutely correct, and it is said in very "stark terms" - what Israel has done by agreeing to the cease fire terms of the United Nations resolution will embolden terrorists around the world. What was done by Israel was a major blunder, and endangers their very survival, and even that of the free world.

Oh, and by the way, Iran has already began rearming Hezbollah through Syria. Israel still hasn't gotten back the two soldiers Hezbollah captured that started this conflict. And who knows what Hezbollah will try next.

Setting the Stage - Part 4 - The Evil Axis

Written four years ago, I take great pride in knowing what I knew THEN! Does that make me prophetic? Absolutely not, but like Glenn Beck, I picked up on things that were happening, and was somehow able to see what was going to be in store for America in the future.

I may not have ever been aware of things that were going on had I not followed some sources, such as Joseph Farah's WorldNetDaily.com site, which I believe that I first learned of by listening to CoasttoCoastAM. I am hoping the same for all of those that are now reading my columns or watching my videos. I know that there are a few out there. I know where you live (just kidding, but letting you know that the government DOES - and Wal-Mart WILL - know how to track you down). I can just tell you, that you're going to be hooked, and become a news junkie, when you learn enough that you start wondering when the next shoe will fall. Just sayin'....

The Evil Axis

As much as I am excited about getting to the next part of this series, I can not guarantee that it will ever happen. I can not ever be sure that those that are "Setting the Stage" will permit me to continue this topic. I am not sure where "they" will draw the line to what is permissable to tell you. Just a couple weeks ago, I believe around July 16, I had written a post for this topic of the same title, "The Evil Axis". And what happened to that post? I didn't back up this forum like I should have after writing that post, that's what. And when my website went down not too long ago, I was not able to recover that post. I was not as vigilant as I should have been, and I lost a battle that should not have been lost. Though that original post is no longer with us, the good news is that I didn't "mysteriously disappear"! (But I still believe there are people out there that could make that happen if they wanted to...)

So, here I am, trying to rewrite that post. This installment that I am writing today, though, will not be identical to the original version. Had the original post still been intact, I was planning on making some major revisions to it. There have been events in the Middle East and in North Korea that began about the same time I lost the original post, and those events clearly illustrate how The Evil Axis is influencing current events.

President George W. Bush told us about the Axis of Evil shortly after September 11, 2001, during his State of the Union speech to Congress in 2002. In that speech, President Bush singled out three countries: Iraq, Iran and North Korea. All three countries, paraphrased from the President's speech, either possessed or were building weapons of mass destruction. (That's WMD, for all of you who have been visiting other planets in the last several years).

But where is the connection for an "axis" of evil? How was the President able to connect Iraq with Iran when the two countries went through a long war against each other in the 1980's? Iran is being run by those in Islamic theocracy of the Shiite sect of Islam, while Iraq's former leader, Saddam Hussein, a Sunni Muslim, committed mass murder against Shiite Muslims? The two countries hated each other enough to kill over a million people in the process of their war. An "axis" would seem to imply some type of alliance among the countries. To confound me even more, I had not come across any information that showed any politcal agreements between Communist and atheistic North Korea and the two countries of Iran and Iraq in the predominate Islamic world of the Middle East.

However, that while the agenda and policies of the three countries in the "Axis of Evil" seem to differ, there actually is a commonality of agendas. This is an important point to remember. Going back in history to WW II, there was another "Axis". President Franklin Roosevelt's administration, or the press, used the term "Axis" in defining the enemies in the war we had against Japan, Germany and Italy. Both Japan and Germany were controlled by tyrannical, genocidal maniacs that wanted world domination, while Mussolini of Italy was a Fascist thug that was looking for political and financial power for himself and his corrupt cronies. Those three countries of the World War II "Axis" had one thing in common, which was the desire for the defeat of the United States of America in order to eliminate the one obstacle to the destruction of freedom and liberty.

So, does that help in understanding what the Axis of Evil as defined by the President in State of the Union address in 2002? (If not, obviously you were not coherent when reading the last paragraph; go back and read it again, and pay attention this time!) You will find that there is a clear parallel between the "Axis" of WW II and the "Axis of Evil" in the Global War on Terrorism (WW III?). The "Axis of Evil" - Iraqi insurgents, Iran, and North Korea - all possess the agenda of wanting to bring down the United States and the Western culture. Democracy and freedom doesn't work for tyrants. It isn't just a matter of resentment of our wonderful way of life in this country. The actual matter of fact is that the USA stands in the way, in one way or another, of those countries promoting their tyrannical influence in this world. So, don't forget that military axiom, "The enemy of my enemies is my friend". It will soon start to make more sense.

Now that I have established the fact that there is a connection among the three countries that President Bush labeled the "Axis of Evil", I can now explain what I feel is "The Evil Axis". Obviously, the original three countries President Bush mentioned as the "Axis of Evil": Iraq, Iran, and North Korea are the basic foundation of "The Evil Axis". Though the U.S. defeated Saddam to take him out of the picture, there are still terrorists in Iraq that are responsible for the deaths of over 2,500 of our troops stationed there, along with many thousands of Iraqi citizens. The enemies we are still fighting in Irag, the terrorists, want to discredit the United States, and make us look like the agressor, and the oppressor, in the eyes of the Iraqi citizens.

The Evil Axis

While President George W. Bush's definition of the "Axis of Evil" includes Iraq, Iran, and North Korea, my designation of "The Evil Axis" allies expands on the original "Axis of Evil" countries of Iraq, Iran, and North Korea:

Syria - Replacing Iraq, we now have Syria, who is a very strong ally of Iran. Syria tends to get their marching orders from Tehran. Syria is very much involved in the current conflict in Southern Lebanon between Isreal and Hezbollah. The rockets and missles used by Hezbollah on Isreal were made by Iran and supplied by Syria. And then there is the fact that just before the U.S. invaded Iraq in 2003, Saddam had most of his WMD moved to Syria.

Terrorist groups - al Qaida, Hezbollah, Hamas, Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades (The military wing of the Palestinian Authority, who is trained and supplied by Hezbollah), Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Egyptian Islamic Jihad, and all the other terror groups dedicated to Islamic Jihad around the world. In an article by Paul L. Williams and David Dastych posted on WorldNetDaily.com on April 28, 2006, they wrote:

The relationship between Iran and bin Laden dates back to June 21, 1996, when bin Laden attended a terror summit in Tehran. The gathering attracted terror leaders from various places throughout the world, including Ramadan Shallah (the Palestinian Islamic Jihad), Ahmad Salah (Egyptian Islamic Jihad), Imad al-Alami and Mustafa al-Liddawi (Hamas), Ahmad Jibril (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine), Abdallah Ocalan (the Kurdish People Party), Muhammad Ali Ahmad (al Qaida), and Imad Mugniyah (Hezbollah). The summit resulted in the creation of the "Committee of Three" that would meet on a regular basis for the "coordination, planning and execution of attacks" against the United States and Israel [emphasis my own]. The committee members were Ahmad Salah, Imad Mugniyah and bin Laden.

That seems to leave little doubt that terrorist groups are part of The Evil Axis. While Saddam Hussein was paying the parents of Palestinian suicide (homicide) bombers the sum of $25,000 for their bombings against innocent Isreali civilians, Iran was funding Hezbollah to the tune of about $250 Million per year.

China and Russia - Iran and North Korea are very grateful to their top supporters, Russia and China, two of the permanent members of the U.N. Security Council. These two countries will always vote against any type of resolutions that have any meat to them to prevent the building of nukes in Iran, or the crazy things that North Korea does, like "testing" missiles on July 4, 2006. There is nothing that will ever come out of the U.N. Security Council, because of China and Russia's votes, that won't make Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Kim Jong-Il laugh and continue to ignore the U.N. resolutions. Russia has strong ties to Iran with weapons sales and assistance with Iran's nuclear program. Russia is a major weapons supplier to Hezbollah, which includes the Katyusha rockets. China has deals with Iran for hundreds of billions of dollars for Iranian oil. And don't forget about the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a regional anti-American economic and military pact. China and Russia are members of this organization, and Iran (President Ahmadinejad) is moving toward being a member and attended a recent meeting in June 2006.

Venezuela, Cuba, Somalia, et. al. - President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela would have cut off the oil to America long ago - in support of the Palestinian struggle against Isreal - but the U.S. is too big of a customer and Chavez would lose billions of dollars. That could make it a little difficult for him to give the billions of dollars in financial support to the Castro regime in Cuba every year. Despite his hesitancy to directly confront America, make no mistake, Hugo Chavez would back any country that takes on the United States, including Iran. If the United States had any confrontation with Iran, like to take out their nuclear weapons program, I have no doubt that Venezuelan oil would quit flowing our way. The rest of the countries included in the segment of The Evil Axis are those countries with radical Islamic or Communist regimes, most of which hate America. Though many of those countries are way too poor and technologically backward to be able to supply weapons to the Axis, they have plenty of resources in the way of indoctrinated people willing to die for the evil cause.

MS-13 and other major crime syndicates - I can not leave criminal organizations off of the list of The Evil Axis, as they can be easily linked to being part of an attempt to destroy the United States. MS-13, a Salvadoran street gang, is a major outsourcing service to our enemies, from human trafficking to being major drug transporters and suppliers. So, who knows, maybe many of the politicians in America seem to be so cowardly because they had either been threatend by MS-13 or other crime organizations, or they just fear that they will appear on a "hit list". Even more frightening, is the possibility that MS-13 may have helped to smuggle terrorists and/or WMD (suitcase nukes?) into the United States through the unsecure Southern border with Mexico.

Leftist Liberals In America - Friends of our enemies are probably going to be our enemies, at least on this list of "The Evil Axis". I am almost 100% sure that many of these people would have been hung as traitors 230 years ago. I believe these are people that would sell out America because they hate our way of life. For some absolutely insane reasoning, they feel that living in the tyranny of Islamic or Communist rule would be better than what we have now. Whether it is calling for the immediate withdrawal of our troops from Iraq, being buddies with Hugo Chavez, or making "documentary" movies saying that President Bush is responsible for 9/11, these are people that are intentionally hurting America, for what ever EVIL agenda they have. With Saddam Hussein out of the picture, we still have Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Kim Jong-Il at the reigns of volatile tyrannies that are either developing, or in the process of building, weapons of mass destruction. There is the possibility that none of the WMD that has been or will be built will ever be used by Iran or North Korea. Instead, there is another danger lurking. The WMD that is being produced by the remaining members of the Axis of Evil, and the Iraqi stock of WMD that went to Syria, could be - or already has been - sold off to terrorist organizations. That is the recipe for the worst nightmare facing the Western world.

The Evil Axis is made up with allies that were former enemies of each other. (In fact, I really wonder if the "civil war" between Sunni and Shiite insurgents in Iraq aren't just staging the conflict in order to mount disagreement in American and world politics.) Is there a possiblity that formerly conflicting extremist groups are actually working together? Upon the current conflict between Isreal and Hezbollah and Hamas, there seems to be little doubt that this war is a coordinated effort among the members of The Evil Axis. And though the conflict is currently confined to the Isreali fronts - Gaza, Lebanon and the West Bank - there seems to be a grave danger to America waiting in the evil shadows.

It seems to be a good time to pray for the United States of America. And I'm getting too old to have to learn to speak Arabic, Farsi, Spanish, or Chinese. What I've been able to write so far (thankfully, in English... for now), has been a primer for what is to come. I have been providing you with pieces of the puzzle that will allow you to put things together. There are things going on in this crazy world that make us want to wonder if many of us will still be around a lot longer. No, I don't mean to sound pessimistic about our future. In fact, having a negative outlook is completely opposite of my actual feelings about what is going on. I truly believe that current events point to wonderful things to come!

What I want to write about from this point forward, is that we are seeing things happen that is "Setting the Stage" for some awesome events of Biblical proportion! Yes, I just gave away where this is all heading. So, stay tuned!

Okay, so what I wrote about four years ago hasn't happened... YET. And you never know, it could still be a decade away. Or maybe not...

As my good friend Phil Elmore would probably say, "technology is a tool that can be used for good or evil." Deciding which way the technology of tracking people will go can go either way. It can be used for the good to keep the pedophiles away from our children, or to find children that fell prey to those perverts that may do them harm. On the other hand, think of the way the government could control us, our speech, and limit our pursuit of happiness in freedom! Tracking chips could be used as a weapon against those of us that want to promote liberty and stop tyranny from ever taking hold in this great country! Just sayin'...

Your ID, Please

It's okay, it is for your security. A microchip, with global positioning satellite compatibility. The most convenient place to embed that chip would be on your hand. Just a wave of your hand by any of the chip readers that will soon be all in place. Everyone will have one. That way, the terrorists' every move can be tracked. And nobody will be able to rob you of your identity. That would be virtually impossible. So they say...

In an article posted May 5, 2006 on worldnetdaily.com, written by Ron Strom, we learn about the Real ID Act, passed last year and signed into law by the President. The article, "Is coming national ID 'mark of the beast'?", says that "Public Law 109-13 requires the national ID portion of the plan go into effect by May 2008."

The article mentions that "The Real ID Act requires states to participate in a federal data-sharing program when issuing driver's licenses, making those licenses de facto national ID cards." The states will have to include personal data on their driver's licenses that will be able to be shared by every other state, and be machine-readable at government agencies and banks. After May 11, 2008, the card will be required by the Transportation Security Administration in order to board a plane. In fact, you may have a lot of limitations imposed on you if you didn't have that "national" ID card.

And in the mean time, technology has been developed that would make it possible to have implantable chips that would have this data, and probably a lot more, embedded under your skin. Not only will there be the data, but there is also the ability to put Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) compatibility on these chips. In other words, every person that has this chip would be able to be located and/or tracked.

The GPS chips may not be mandatory for humans, at least by public law, yet... However, there is already a movement toward a mandatory program to be able to track agricultural livestock animals - cows, pigs, sheep, horses, chickens, turkeys, geese, and ducks, and who knows what else the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) can come up with. Maybe even Grandma's parakeet! Anyway, a program to be administered by the USDA called NAIS, which stands for the National Animal Identification System, would do just that. Okay, we want food safety, so the USDA is working on this program in case there is an outbreak of the "Mad Cow" disease (BSE) or the Avian flu. The use of "food safety concerns", (or in other words, FEAR), has been the justification to get such a program in progress. Well, that, and the fact that countries we export livestock and food to will eventually require such a program to be implemented.

So, how long will it be until an implantable microchip with GPS capabilities will become mandatory for humans? Decades? Years? Well, think of what could be done with such a tracking system, and the well-meaning justifications that could be made. Let's start with the convicted felons. At the very least, the pedophiles and sex offenders that are now required to register. Just too many of them slip away from the system. They aren't where they say they are staying. And you know, the pedophiles mostly confess that they can never be "cured" of their sickness. So to protect kids from these monsters, let's give them all the trackable chips. We would know their every move. Come close to our kids, and alarms go off. What a wonderful idea.

But, speaking of kids, what if our kid gets kidnapped by one of those creeps? Wouldn't it be great if we gave the kids an embedded chip that could track their movement? We could locate them quickly if they go missing. We might even be able to track down and nab the sick-o registered sex offender that snatched the kid. So, why not?

Oh, and of course, there are all those illegal aliens out there. To give them that pleasure of amnesty that the U.S. Senate wants to give them, let's compromise. They can have the amnesty through the "guest worker program", in exchange for a national ID system that includes an implanted micro-chip - of course, with GPS tracking capability. You can bet that the chip-maker (VeriChip) would like that huge market (11 million people? 20 Million? 80 million? Who knows how many for sure, especially if a guest worker program is implemented!) for their chips.

And, just to get the rest of us into the program - might as well go all the way with this! - let's do away with cash. Do away with cash, and you do away with the drug dealers. They would have no way to receive their funds without every transaction being tracked. And of course, then we can also rid the world of the identity thieves, bank robbers, muggers... etc. (Caveat: No matter what, ID chip or not, criminals always manage to find a way of getting around laws and justice, even if it means buying off politicians or killing off prosecutors and judges.)

Even if a National ID placed on an embeddable microchip with the capability to be tracked by the GPS were to become reality in this new millennium, it won't really do that much to solve many of the problems we face. However, what I wrote above will all be part of the incremental steps to sell the idea to the masses. In all likelihood, it will start out as a voluntary program, we won't be "required" to get "chipped". However, as national security issues dictate, and the technology gets more and more refined by testing it with the "volunteers", you can pretty much count on it being a necessity of life; that is, if you want to buy, sell, eat, drive your car... Even if the government doesn't mandate it, you can bet that you won't be able to pay for your groceries at Walmart someday without the chip to "identify you".

I didn't come up with the information for this post off the top of my head. I consumed many articles and quite a few hours of listening to talk radio on Coast to Coast A.M.. I got well acquainted with such people as Ron Strom and Henry Lamb on WorldNetDaily.com, and Ervin Baxter, Jr. and Katherine Albrecht (NoNationalID.com).

It is very important for you to do your own research, starting from the leads to resources I just offered to you. It isn't just some imaginary conspiracy theory about the implantable microchips. It is real. Go ahead, Google a search for "Digital Angel" and "RFID". And also, you need to read this article: "Chip-maker wants to implant immigrants" that I found on June 1, 2006 on WorldNetDaily.com.

There are many events going on in this world that you need to know about. I only take credit for gathering information from what I feel are credible sources, which I will eventually list at the end of this topic. God did not feed this information to me directly. Instead, I believe that God led me to this information, which has come from a variety of sources. And having found this information, have I developed a conclusion? Not completely, no. But I do believe that I am getting closer to answers that will help satisfy my own curiosity. And more than that, even, is the fact that much of what I believe is happening is being verified, day by day.

An RFID chip with GPS tracking abilities is now a reality. A need for some type of tamper-proof ID system for national security purposes is a serious reality. It's just a matter of adding up all the FACTS and seeing what we come up with. Let's find out together what this will all lead to.

As much as I am excited about getting to the next part of this series, I can not guarantee that it will ever happen. I can not ever be sure that those that are "Setting the Stage" will permit me to continue this topic. I am not sure where "they" will draw the line to what is permissible to tell you. We'll just have to see.

Setting the Stage - The Prologue

I began writing the series, "Setting the Stage," on April 30, 2006. Since that time, the series has received over 8,000 views. I have decided that with the things that are going on in the world right now, it was time to update it and bring it to this venue. You will understand why I am doing this once you start reading it.

As I repost the series here, I am not going to change the text of what I had written (unless it is a spelling or grammatical error I may have missed in the original version). However, I will be enhancing it with multimedia - video or pictures, something I could not do in the original venue - where appropriate. I will be including the dates of the original posts just so that you are aware that anything I wrote a few years ago may not apply any more... or, maybe prophetically, some of it will be almost to the point of being profoundly surreal.

This series will take some reading on your part. But, I know about the readers of my blogs: You are smart people, and you love to read. It is still the best way to gain information. And please remember that the title to this series is "Setting the Stage." The things you will read about are the events that have lead to where we are today. I will also begin each post with an Editor's Note such as this one.  With that, let us begin.

SETTING THE STAGE

Prologue

There was once a time that news could only travel at the speed of man's ability to journey across the countryside, continents and oceans. Now, news can literally travel at the speed of light around the world in split seconds. Obviously, the speed at which news can travel has changed our lives. It offers us a great ability to be informed of things going on around us, anywhere in the world where things are happening.

But even more profound has been the amount of information that we are now able to access. Of course, the internet has a lot to do with the quantum leap that mankind has made in the ability to gather and disseminate the news.

I am not all that old, but I do remember very well how most of the news came from a very limited number of sources. There were the big three television networks - ABC, NBC, and CBS - and their nightly news shows. And the local newspapers provided us with the national and world news they received over the wires. One problem at that time was the content they provided to us was limited by a 30 minute time slot, or the size of newspapers and news magazines.

The other major problem with the limited sources of news offered to us was much more insidious. As a matter of fact, that problem with the majority of the mainstream press still exists. However, we now have alternatives. We no longer are limited to the indoctrinating mainstream media. We no longer have to suffer from the mind-numbing, sensationalized, left-leaning, liberal thinking content that the mainstream news organizations offer.

One of the first pursuers of truth, fighters for honesty and moral objectivity, was conservative talk radio. And yes of course, the hero of the airwaves, Rush Limbaugh. And along came another alternative, though at times tending to be a little more to the left: Art Bell, with his late-night Coast to Coast A.M. radio show that thrives on providing a whole new meaning to alternative news and stories you will NEVER hear or read or see in the mainstream press.

At about the same time, the cable TV news industry began to flourish during the 1980's and 1990's. Ted Turner's CNN and Headline News was a major turnaround, which offered 24 hours of news on TV. But it was FoxNews, a new creation that brought us "fair and balanced" news 24 hours a day. Rupert Murdoch's FoxNews network was the silver bullet into the heart of the mainstream TV news. At least it has been from my perspective. My loyalty to Tom Brokaw ended long before his eventual retirement. My dependency on NightLine with Ted Koeppel was finally overcome long before he said his last good night. Even Bill Gates, teaming up with NBC, got into the fray to bring us MSNBC on 24 hour cable. However, I just can't come up with much clever to say about MSNBC. That network was just a little too much like the mainstream media, and I was never one of their fans.

And now, we have the internet. The number of alternatives to the mainstream news is virtually infinite, especially when you count the countless news blogs, uh, like this one will be. While the internet's strong points are bringing us news and information very rapidly and providing us with many alternatives, it's weaknesses are, well, bringing us news and information very rapidly and providing us with many alternatives. Sometimes the truth can tend to be not quite as reliable, because all these news organizations are racing to get their stories on the net first. This can, and does, lead to less validation of sources. And let's face it, when you throw in all the bloggers, truth can become distorted at times. But it does give us the alternatives, and more freedom to choose who we want to listen to and believe.

Now, there is one special news source that I want to mention. And, I in fact want to acknowledge that this person, and his online news media that he founded, is greatly responsible for my inspiration to begin "Our Time to Escape - the johnny2k Blog". That would be Joseph Farah, and his WorldNetDaily.com website. (And when I can eventually afford it, his "G2 Bulletin".) Not only does he and his organization bring us powerful, trustworthy news stories, it is presented from a Christian perspective. Joseph Farah, for many reasons, is one of my heroes.

This is all I have time to write for now, but I believe I have made my point. You will soon be reading my future posts that will further explain my motivation and inspiration for writing this particular blog topic, "Setting the Stage". This post is the background setting for a stage that has actually been under construction for thousands of years. There is a spiritual conflict that has been going on, the ultimate battle between good and evil, and the final act may be upon us much sooner than many people think, or want to believe.

(If that last sentence disturbed you, I don't really apologize. But so that I don't leave you hanging, let me take this opportunity to quickly lead you to some very insightful information before I close.
