To the Fallen Heroes!

By John Kubicek

My last blog of the year. To all of the Veterans, past and present, I honor you. With the following video, this is my salute to you all!

While I had wished many of my friends and fellow journalists a Happy New Year in several recent blogs, this is the one that is actually the most important. My friends, and my dear fellow patriots that take advantage of our 1st Amendment Rights, would not have that right if it wasn't for you, our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines. You all will be in my prayers, and I hope to see you home soon!

Happy New Year!

Wait, one last great tribute to our military men and women:

Thank you, Bubba! You are also a great inspiration for the rest of us that keep our military members in our prayers!

A Happy New Year for my friends at WND.com

By John Kubicek

There are many people I want to thank for helping 2008 be a good year, and to thank in advance for a wonderful year to come in 2009. Many people have faced hardships and sorrows in 2008, but it was the friends I have that kept me encouraged to get through the storms I faced. I believe that without a doubt, there will have to be a lot of that love going around in 2009. While many of us may be spared from a devasted economy, wicked weather and other disasters, there will be the few that will need us to keep in our prayers.

Had it not been for WorldNetDaily, I would have never known most of the friends that I have now. I had been an avid reader of the site for quite awhile, when one day, there was this icon with "digg" on it. I remember that day, and always will, as it seemed like just yesterday, but it was in late April, 2007 when I first noticed it. It did not take me long to develop a network of my loved friends once I started submitting WND articles to digg.com.

And it has been a wild ride since then. I then became aquainted with the blogs. At first, I put a lot of time on blognetdaily, a WND forum. Writing about articles and the issues of the day was always fun, and just as enlightening when reading other's comments, or posts. And then came digg.com. Now, I'm not sure if Joseph Farah, founder of WND, would agree that digg has been a good thing. For all the positive things posted on digg.com regarding him and WND, there have also been a hefty and lefty share of WND-haters. The detractors. Uh, I just have to say this: "Can you digg it?"

You see, I love reading commentaries as much as I love writing them. If there has ever been a great advantage of having the Internet (thanks to Algore, of course /sarcasm), we have the ability to share our thoughts with each other. Once upon a time, it was when the printing press was invented that helped to shape civilization. And now, we have the ability to share our thoughts and concerns and epiphanies with each other at light speed. And now, it is a 24/7/365 Town Hall meeting. You gotta love it!

Thanks to my many friends at WND, I was introduced to this new way of communication. I don't know if there is any other way to show my great appreciation for what they do, other than to keep doing what I've been doing! And, right back at them, I hope that they also keep doing what they've been doing, too! And in a gushing way of saying it, THANK YOU, JOSEPH FARAH! You have chosen the greatest writers around to be apart of your crew. Everybody there at WND and Shop.WND deserve my greatest kudos!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, you all!

A Happy New Year for my friends at digg.com!

By John Kubicek

More than anything that I've learned since joining digg.com back in April of 2007. I've learned the importance of the people that I correspond with, the importance of being committed to great friendships. I dedicate this post to all those on digg.ocm that have added so much to my life. (Hey, and some aren't even my "mutual friends" - some are people that I could argue with all day, but I love them, too!)

I was just getting my feet wet on digg for the first 8 months in 2007. It was when I started taking it seriously in 2008 that I saw how much it helps to even have some moral support. Stuff happened in 2008 that I hope I'd never have to experience again. The very difficult winter last year, my dog Moochie taking off for an unannounced vacation from her castle in February, a problem with excess water in Cedar Rapids last June, losing my job in June and getting it back in September, and of course the ongoing theme: wondering if what I am doing is going to help anyone... Oh, wait, I forgot - for a moment - about that election thing and the financial blow-out...

And so, am I saying that 2009 will be any easier? Uh, no. In fact.... Okay, I'm not going to go there, but I do believe that all of us together can help each other, just the way I was helped through my storm in 2008.

There's another point that I want to get to today, too. This Happy New Year's message also goes out to people that have not been exactly my fans. But, many of those that do not agree with me, well - I see a lot of good in many of them, too! For me, that has been easy to accept them as friends (to a point). I have personal experience with loving people in my family regardless of their point of view.

In fact, just yesterday I pointed out in a comment I wrote that I will no longer digg down comments unless they are so offensive that I am compelled to report it to digg.com as violations of the Terms of Service. That goes for anyone I know on either side of the aisle. I do believe in tolerance, but I will draw a line in the sand.

With that being said, let me reiterate the fact that my experience on digg.com has brought me in contact with many great people, who I only wish the best for in this next year. It may be difficult, but we can pull together regardless of our personal opinions. Kind of like we were right after 9/11. Know what I'm saying?

My Christmas Sermon for 2008

By John Kubicek

Christmas... Is it really "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year"? Is it the "happiest season of all"? For some, it is. For others, it is not. Uh, no, I'm not going to provide any scientific research data. No numbers that you will have to dive through. This is just an observation based on the views of people that I know and love.

For me? Christmas is great! Was it always? Absolutely not!

The one thing that I found out was that many people seemed to have painful memories of this season. And yes, on the positive side, for many people, there have been many joyful memories!

I am one of the vast majority of people that can easily say that they've experienced both sides of the spectrum. There have been many good memories just as much as there have been very sad memories. And then, there will be years when this season results in mixed memories, both good and bad.

Well, I guess that's the way I've looked at this year, to a point. There were, and have been things this year that I know are affecting me, and much of that is knowing what others are going through. I know of people that have recently lost loved ones, and I know of people that are still suffering severe financial hardships from the Flood of 2008 here in Cedar Rapids.

It was after reading Glenn Book's Christmas classic, "The Christmas Sweater," just before Christmas, that I decided that this was going to be a year that I would enjoy every little bit of the Christmas spirit that I could soak in. I decided not to only enjoy the happiest Christmas memories of the past, but I would do everything I could to produce brand new happy Christmas memories. And, in my heart, I succeeded.

Early this week, I happened to come across something new. It was a musical group that I had not heard of before. I recorded it. I put in on youtube.com, and I believe that it is worthy of sharing with you on this great day of the Lord! Here they are, the Annie Moses Band:

Bethlehem, the House of Bread

We Three Kings

Do you ever wonder sometimes how it is possible to be joyful in times of sorrow? There's a good chance that you haven't found a way to do that. I'm one of the lucky ones that has succeeded in that effort. I learned to combine the best of the old memories with developing new good times that I won't forget. Here is an example of that, brought to you by "Straight No Chaser":

It could have happened to you in the past... It could be happening to you now... Or, it could happen to you in the future. Whatever it is, I just hope that I can remind you that not everything that happens to you is YOUR plan. No, but you can be joyfull knowing that there is a God that has a much greater plan for you. Make what you want to of this season, but for me, that thought that God gave us the gift of that child, it is what makes this another Great Christmas!

My 2008 Story of the Year - They Make 'em Good in Iowa!

By John Kubicek

There could have been many stories that would make it to the top of the list for TOP NEWS STORIES FOR 2008. In this case, I'm going to tell you about the top story that directly touched my life, in many ways. And this is a story that really needs to spread across the land. We are all facing a coming crisis that may still be beyond our imagination.

In 2008, and even carrying over from 2007, Iowa had experienced a very brutal winter. Across this great state, many Iowans fell on their knees and prayed, and we had the support of many people across this great land. We've had to endure many hardships.

Despite the great adversities of last winter, we persevered. Iowans are resilient, as are most of the people across this great nation.

Being that this is my "Top Story of 2008," I wanted to make this a good one. That is why for the next few minutes, I'll just let the following videos speak for me:

Maybe the reason for sharing this story today is that we are all facing our storms. We now need to decide where we want to go. In the last video, there was Ashton Kutcher, a good ol' Iowa native. He decided to do what he could to help in his home state. I respect that. Really, I greatly do respect that. They DO make 'm good in Iowa. Joining in the effort to help out Iowans was another Iowa native, Shawn Johnson, an Olympic gymnast.

And better yet, there are efforts going on that you will probably never see in the news. We'll continue to talk about those efforts in the future.

There is a point to remember here. Consider what had happened here in Iowa as an example. As we face further tribulations - personal or nationwide - let's remember that we can all be here for each other. Let's be September 12th people, folks.

ILLINOIS: Ground Zero for the ODD Pandemic!

By John Kubicek

Update, Friday, December 12, 2008
In my haste to break this feverish story, one that could not just go viral, but BE viral, I failed to mention the prerequisite reading that would be necessary to comprehend this installment. The background for this story can be found in The Wizard of ODD. Even though I had left a few clues in this piece - you know, like that underlined text which is normally a link to another page - it seemed that some readers were still left clueless. No, not saying all of you! Just those few... Never mind. Just make sure you have the background for this story before continuing.

I may soon have to go into hiding. I'm now the ultimate whistle blower. I've apparently uncovered that strain of O.D.D. that has gone into pandemic mode, and seems to be a real career killer. And then, I go and discover ground zero. Yes, right there in Illinois! And now, the President-Select is right in the middle of a gigantic storm.

So that you know just how this disease of O.D.D. is spreading, we need to see how there is more than obvious evidence of defiance:

Video above: Hey Rod, you'll never be able to look your mom in the eyes again!

And it all fits. The dots are easily connected. Now, the left side of the talking heads in the media are all claiming that the Governor of Illinois has lost it. And I kind of feel bad; I think I've given them some new type of disorder to explain the bizarre behavior. Oppositional Defiant Disorder, now known as, Obama Derangement Disorder.

When the belief becomes so strong that you are beyond any kind of reality of what you mean to America... When the belief becomes so strong that you would lie to your mom.... It has to be a matter of derangement and delusional beliefs.

But did I not say, in a previous post, that:

I am sure that you have seen how tragic this disorder is. It just seems so obvious when you see people that are ODD. The childlike behaviour of believing in the most unbelievable fantasies. I mean, people that only knew one thing about the candidate, and possible source of this deadly behavioral disease, and that was "hope for change." And yes, if you noticed I said "deadly," you would hopefully know just how profound that was. Because it seems like they are willing to watch the suicide of America happen right in front of them, and not say anything (unless you are Glenn Beck).
This is just the tip of the iceberg.

The ODD pandemic has begun! And be sure to keep an eye out for another symptom: Mass Obamacide!

Who is for Gun Control in America?

By John Kubicek

It wasn't long ago that Doug Powers wrote about the gun control in India, and how it became so easy for terrorists to gun down so many people. He writes:

One thing is certain: Mass terrorist slaughters like the one in Mumbai could happen in the United States. That something similar and on such a grand scale hasn't happened yet isn't for lack of trying on the part of terrorists. As many mass shootings in the U.S. have demonstrated to us (and unfortunately to terrorists as well), our citizens are horrendously unprepared and untrained for a terrorist attack like the one in India last week. And by 'trained,' I mean more than just to dial 9-1-1 and eke out a prayer before being shot.
So, just how fast can you even dial 9-1-1? And what happens if you get voice mail when you call 9-1-1, in desperate need for emergency assistance? And will you even have time to say a prayer?

There was just one problem with Alderman (Alderwoman, to be P.C.) Lyda Krewson's analysis and lack of a solution. Would her husband have been gunned down had the criminal that did it have to wonder if the intended victims could be armed? The following video will answer that question:

So, would criminals be deterred if they had to worry about people having a way to defend themselves? Would the opportunities for a crime to be committed be drastically reduced? You betcha!

And, that is the whole point. When the 2nd Amendment was enacted, though, the need and purpose for the citizens to be armed was in the desire to defend ourselves against enemies, foreign and domestic. Yes, for deterrence! And it worked, at least until the government began regulating what kinds of guns could be sold, and where people could own them. Conceal and carry laws have only brought us restrictions that were greatly increased. And what did we get for that tactic? Columbine? Virginia Tech? Mass shootings in malls across the country?

How long will it be before we have a terrorist attack such as in Mumbai, India? How long will it before an undeterred domestic enemy decides to put America into lock-down - martial law - for an undetermined amount of time?

To answer the question, "Who is for Gun Control in America?": Criminals and the enemies of our freedom, foreign and domestic.

Out-of-Control Snowballs

By John Kubicek

In much of America, at this time of year, the Northern half of this great country sees the wintry weather, and there are always the conditions somewhere during the season where making snowballs, and better yet - the good old snowman - is a common past-time. Well, that was when I was a kid. The perfect time to accomplish such feats is when the temperature is just right, hovering a little below the freezing point. The snow packs very easily. The snow flakes, being big, stick together with little effort. A small snowball can certainly be rolled up into a ball big enough to produce that really weird looking thing out on a front lawn with a carrot for a nose, hunks of coal for the eyes.... Oh wait, that was even before MY time! Okay... almost before my time.

There was a common metaphor I noticed when reading Glenn Beck's book, "The Christmas Sweater" last night. There was the theme of the Christmas like weather, the "White Christmas" as many of us seem to wish for. And yet, in a way of countering that theme, Glenn told about how things seemed to be like an out of control snowball in his young, innocent life. (Don't worry, I won't tell you how the story ends, because I haven't gotten there yet!)

So, this morning, while contemplating the wisdom I've soaked in so far from that book, I realized how much it related to the way things are going in this country. Just as event after event for "Eddie" in "The Christmas Sweater" was increasing in intensity, the way things are going in the U.S. and in the global economy, there seems to be an uncontrollable snowball effect. Yes, the snowball seems to grow exponentially if it is rolling down hill. Who's going to be able to stop it? Funny, but I feel the way Congress is handling the situation, they are sending our kids and grandchildren out to try to lay down in front of the massive, rolling snowball.

So, if there is a way from stopping the growing snowball, rolling down hill, out-of-control, it needs to be us that still have enough strength - we hope - to block it's destructive path. Hopefully, that snowball hasn't gotten beyond our abilities to keep it from crushing our future generations.

The Wizard of ODD

By John Kubicek

In trying to find out if there was anything in Wikipedia for "O.D.D.", I found the following:

Oppositional defiant disorder is a psychiatric category listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders where it is described as an ongoing pattern of disobedient, hostile, and defiant behavior toward authority figures which goes beyond the bounds of normal childhood behavior.

That explains everything, doesn't it?

The President-Elect may have suffered from it when he was a kid, and most likely never recovered. I mean, just look at how much he disrepects America and everything it stands for, our Founding Fathers, the Constitution of the United States, the Star-Spangled Banner, and probably the Pledge of Allegiance.

So, why did I even bother to look up that acronym in the first place? Well, I wanted to coin a new acronym. It was going to be "ODD", meaning Obama Derangement Disorder. And while I find that the American Psychiatric Association has already spoken for the ODD acronym, I had to decide if there was still a way I could utilize this ODD idea in a column.

Let's go back and look at the description of ODD: It is an "ongoing pattern of disobedient, hostile, and defiant behavior toward authority figures which goes beyond the bounds of normal childhood behavior." Hey, it seems that would describe a few of Obama's friends! I mean, well, who could think of more oppositionally defiant people than the Rev. Jeremiah Wright or former domestic terrorist without remorse Bill Ayers?

You do see where I am going with this, right? I think we need to petition the American Psychiatric Association to immediately change the name of ODD from Oppositional Defiant Order to Obama Derangement Disorder, in honor of the President-elect.

I mean, talk about defiance! Not wanting to produce a valid birth certificate? Oppositionally Defiant! Check. Disobedience regarding the Constitution of the United States? Check. Hostility toward anyone that wants to ask questions about his eligibility to be President of the United States? Does having all of your records sealed qualify for hostility? I think so. Check.

But the scariest part of this disorder is that it appears to be contagious. Not just to the point of being an epedemic. It has definitely gone into pandemic proportions! People all over the world seem to be inflicted with this particular strain. It seemed to have been spread at the time that Barack Obama went on his international speaking tour. I seem to remember seeing the news clips of the hoards of humanity that were screaming and shouting, and most likely hallucinating (they seemed to think they were seeing the Messiah!).

There is one more problem that seems to very prevalent among the afflicted. Like HIV lead to AIDS, BDS appears to be leading to ODD. Yes, the chances of somebody with the Bush Derangement Syndrome seems to be directly correlated with the recent ODD pandemic.

There could be a cure, and that is the good news. It doesn't seem to be a genetic disorder, also good news. It was found that uninfected parents can still have offspring that have been diagnosed with this disorder. It is now theorized that the communication of the disorder could be happening in schools and college campuses. It has also been observed that in most cases, adult instructors seemed to be the ones that were the ground-zero point of infection.

Vast resources are going into finding the cure and an inoculation to prevent ODD. The New Media has been doing all we can in order to educate the public. However, it is an overwhelming task to finance the needed research and public education. Unfortunately, just like when the AIDS virus was getting started, the media has not been our friend. The AIDS disease could have been minimized had it become public knowledge much sooner, and now we're having the exact same problem preventing ODD. In fact, it even seems as though the mainstream media sources are not only making this an obscure story, they are also promoting the abhorrent behavior that expands the massive damage to the health of our country, not to mention, our national security.

So, what is real anymore? Is there the Wizard of ODD behind the curtain? Believe me, insanity is just not the way I want to go. I am immune to ODD. I've made sure of that. I made sure my only savior was the REAL One, Jesus Christ. Please innoculate yourself now.

The Obamacide of the United States of America

By John Kubicek

In a column by Doug Powers this morning, "Life of Riley vs. Life of Brian", I learned a new word: "Obamacide." Now, his use of the word was different than how I am using it. But hey, there are many words that have multiple meanings, right? In the context of this writing, I am using a derivative of the original meaning of the word, coined by Doug, as he expresses in the following:

In Texas, a man committed suicide and left a note asking Obama to "take care of my family," highlighting how the creation of a hopeless dependency culture breeds pitiful indigent lemmings who some days are too depressed to even suck the public teat. Because of this, I coined the word "Obamacide," and I sincerely hope it doesn't catch on.
Sorry, Doug, but the cat has already been let out of the bag. It's too late now. It will likely take on a life of its own now. Only in my expression of the word, "Obamacide," it refers to the millions and millions of people that voted for a person that wants to take away our means of defending our freedom. And I'm not just talking about taking away our arms, but that is where it starts, as shown from a section of CHANGE.GOV, as seen below:

UPDATE - 19 NOV 08: You can now click on the above text (graphic) so that you can see it clearly. I then had to update the following description to the first video.

The following video may bring to light an intersting related item that should have been of concern to the voters (who value our freedoms):

And now, I present you with this youtube video that tells you all about Obama's desire to crack down on people that want to bear arms:

Thank you, obamaspromises!

So, am I wrong? Does it seem like there are enough people that would fall for another attempt to limit our ability to arm ourselves? Why did so many people vote for Barack Obama? They either knew very well what would happen, or they had no clue. Actually, take your pick. It was both. The propaganda of the far left worked. Enough people drank the kool-aid. It was mass Obamacide.

And now, there is another problem. A main stream media that will say or print anything (or nothing...take your pick). They seem to be mostly the rabid supporters of the President-elect. There were things they knew about, but neglected to share with us. Oh, but if it was somthing that is anti-Palin, even if it wasn't true, or not verified, it went to the press, above the fold, or headlining the various liberal-slanted networks, or thrown out there by the Soros-produced websites. Well, let's see, how could they? Why would they? Well, here's an example I'll be willing to bet never makes it to page one, above the fold, but maybe those questions will be answered:

Believe me, I am not so sure that this was a matter of the press being duped. They may have been fully aware of what was going on. Just think about that. If you think somebody got one by the press, that the media didn't verify the source.... How do we really know that they didn't know? "A truly trained reporter would know it," says the guest Fox News contributor, Liz Trotta. They didn't check out the story, because maybe they didn't want to. Maybe it wasn't simply neglect to do their jobs. They should have known how to verify the source. But, the story was just too good, and they figured they could get away with it. They drank the kool-aid. The main stream media commited mass Obamacide.

Alone, neither of these stories may have mattered to the masses. When they are combined, though, it is something that should set off the alarms. There is a problem here. I'm just saying that there are dots to be connected.

There are those people that WANT to take away our means of defense, and those that will pretty much believe all that the MSM tells them. And who controls the MSM? Why are there some in power that want to resurrect the "Fairness" Doctrine? And they are also the ones that will probably lead the way to more infringements on our 2nd Amendment rights?

Just say "NO!" to the Obamacide of our freedom of speech. That will be the only thing to prevent the Obamacide on our 2nd Amendment right to arm ourselves. And that would be the Obamacide of our freedom, and the end of the United States of America, as prescribed in our Constitution.

Just say "NO!" to Obamacide, and don't drink the kool-aid!

A Change I Can Believe In

By John Kubicek

A Change I Can Believe In: Glenn Beck is being added to the Fox News Network lineup starting in January 2009.

On his very first appearance on the curved couch on Fox & Friends, he makes a great point about what Sarah Palin had to go through with her McCain campaign "handlers." Yeah, good job, McCain campaign. No wonder why Sarah Palin went "rogue", which started at about the time when "Joe the Plumber" appeared on the scene. Here is the first segment:

Before I start talking about some more serious stuff, let me first point out an observation that Glenn made towards the end of the above video. Glenn, as a husband, understood the "look" that Todd Palin was giving John McCain during the concession speech. Well, could it be that Todd had by chance seen this following video?

Getting to know you - From: jedreport

In light of what I just heard while working on this, straight out of the mouth of Glenn Beck while doing his morning show, not one thing I wrote above really makes any difference now. What I just heard was a man that was not afraid to share his Love for the Lord on the air. Well, add that to the fact that somebody commented on the first video, saying that CNN was cancelling Glenn's contract, and that was why he was going to Fox.

Hey, maybe now we will know why CNN cancelled his contract; they were afraid - very afraid - to have a true believer in their line up!

I hand it to Roger Ailes and Fox News Channel. I am sure they knew where Glenn stands. They had to know. Glenn's book, "The Christmas Sweater," is now on the shelves. It's a novel, but I am sure it is as revealing of Glenn's beliefs as "Dreams of My Father" was of Barack Obama... only from a whole different point of view.

Yes, this morning, Glenn was talking about emails he's received about "The Christmas Sweater," and I heard his voice break up... not because of radio static... No, I heard Glenn have a good and well deserved "choke up" moment. I was right there with him. Me, too, Glenn.

When the "Fairness Doctrine" goes back into affect, I guess that maybe Roger Ailes will have to go ahead and hire ALL of the great talk radio hosts, and then tell the FCC to ... uh, never mind. But, you get the drift? Apparently, TV networks can put on what ever biased news that they want to - fair and balanced is obviously not a requirement like on radio networks.

Let's go another step further, just to keep the news balanced. Fox News Channel needs to have a segment at least once a week with Sarah Palin, as a Fox News contributor... No, wait. Not just one segment a week, but as many as they can on every one of the shows in the Fox News line up! (I wonder, though, if Huckabee would go for that idea? Hey, Huck! Think future Cabinet post!!)

Glenn Beck, on Fox News Channel, that is a change I CAN BELIEVE IN! Will Rush be next?

Dreams of a Community Organizer for Conservatives

Dreams of a Community Organizer: For Conservatives, expatrioted Republicans, and Independents that still believe in the Constitution

By John Kubicek

Who says that people can't rise to the top regardless of all of the barriers. Barack Obama has proved that it could be done, and became the President-elect, even with a bi-racial background. "Joe the Plumber" became a spokesman for the Republican campaign late in the last election cycle. Gov. Sarah Palin went from soccer mom to Governor.

So, uh, what am I saying? That I plan to run for President someday?

Sorry, but that job is way over my paygrade. But, what I AM saying is that I have no qualms for being a reflection of the world view that many of us, probably in the majority, would like to voice. But hey, who's got time? To do that requires a lot of sacrifice.

Trust me, Samuel J. "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher and Sarah Palin both sacrificed time and money in the last couple of months. Oh, wait, they sacrificed even more than that; they have both been the targets of personal attacks.

Aware of the dangers of being in the spotlight, I'll be happy to sacrifice my time, privacy, and even what little I have in finances, if there should ever be the day when.... well, when I step up and quit worrying about the consequences. That is only because I have the passion to do what I am able to do, to help organize a community of voters that will turn things around.

Obviously, I didn't enlist the assistance of a ghost writer (you know, like Bill Ayers) in the writing of this story. That wouldn't be necessary. I still have plenty of coherent things to say - on my own - despite my exposure to the drug culture of the early 1970's life on a college campus. Or maybe, despite my exposure to the liberal philosphies of most of my liberal college professors... Besides, the only "ghost writer" I'd ever trust would be the Holy Spirit. Yeah, the "Holy Ghost Writer"!

If I were to get a start somewhere, though, I would write a book, an autobiography. I am sure that one of the main themes of my "Dreams..." book would definitely be focused on my late wife, Connie. She was born with "special needs". I married her, regardless of those needs. I pretty much gave up everything to be with her, to care for her, in her last few years here before going to the Lord. And it was worth every moment, every sacrifice. And it was my choice.

Oh, you say you want to read the rest of the story? Well, while the book is yet to be published... when I finally get around to writing it... there is always the vast resource of my archives that you can check out. Hey, what can you say, what you write on the internet never goes away.

For those of you that didn't quite understand this post, please go back to riding your skateboard and asking your mom to make some more kool-aide. Seriously, you wouldn't be able to handle the truth.

Looking For a True Conservative for 2012

By John Kubicek

We Conservatives have a lot of work to do before 2010 and 2012. And, what must first be done to get it started, is not to be a bunch of depressed or bitter citizens because "our guy" lost. In fact, we should be celebrating for the fact that "our guy" really WASN'T OUR GUY!

Yes, I was torn up last night. I went to bed, very tired, very depressed, and knowing that unlike anything we've ever seen, America is going to change. After oversleeping this morning, I ended up getting up and still, while feeling very down, I listened to Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. I feel much better now. In fact, I'm feeling pretty jazzed. That's the reason I'm writing today.

So, what are the "positives" that Conservatives can bank on today? There are a few things, and I know that I can't even come close to touching on every one of them today. That's a good thing, it will give us plenty to discuss in the future.

Before I get into the "positives", I want to get up on the soapbox to present my opinion on an issue that needs to be put to rest if Conservatives are going to have a chance to advance our agenda in the future. I heard that some Republicans were accusing John McCain of picking the wrong running mate, Governor Sarah Palin. Being that John McCain is NOT a Conservative, the only reason that he got as many votes as he did was by picking Sarah Palin. Really, I wouldn't have voted for him, otherwise. No, Sarah did not hurt the ticket. She was the one that made it somewhat palatable for most of us Conservatives.

And, by the way, was John McCain the one that actually picked Sarah Palin to be his running mate? Or, were there people in the GOP heirarchy that pressured him to make that choice? In other words, were there actually some in the higher echelons of the party that really knew that McCain couldn't be acceptable to people in the party that are on the Conservative side?

Okay, enough of that rant. Let's now look at what can be taken as positives for Conservatives at this point. There is one big one that we need to touch on, and keep in mind if we ever want another chance (to take back the country). Our principles, our values, may have been greatly jeopardized with a McCain presidency. There were two big ones that I had worried about: global warming and amnesty for illegal aliens. Those were two major issues that are all about globalism. I am very glad that it won't be a Republican that would have taken us in that direction!

Oh, yeah, we've been assured that there is a "two party system" here in America. The third parties will never have a chance. Okay? Can you accept that? You may not WANT to accept that, as a patriotic Conservative American, but that's the way it is. So, is there something to do about it? Yeah, there is. We take back the GOP. And, we figure out a way to unite. We need to accomplish that before 2010. We have our work cut out, don't we?

Face it, we need to find some people to lead us, don't we? Now, I'm not saying "Joe the Plumber" or Sarah Palin should be our next candidates, but I am saying that those are the people that represented you and I. They CAN be the inspiration for getting us together, though. Here, let's take a look at these two videos that I was finally able to get uploaded to youtube.com, and the reason why we should not be feeling down and miserable. Yes, we see that we have a bunch of work to do to re-educated the population, and this is a good beginning:

In order to be able to upload the entire segment with Joe to youtube, I had to divide it into two parts. Here is the remainder, and the part that illustrates the kind of hope and encouragement, and courage, that we need!

It wasn't an easy thing to do today, to get up - out of bed and get uplifted - but I got 'er done. We now are going to start a new chapter of American history. And we now have to be thinking, "What do we do now?" We'll be working on that for the next few years. Do not be perplexed. Get on with life. Like a good friend told me at the grocery store this morning, "The world is still going around, isn't it?" It is. Stay positive. Stay hopeful. Keep praying.

On Taxes, Patriotism and Selfishness

By John Kubicek

I may not have been a Mike Huckabee fan in the past, but I am now. Here is a clip from last Saturday night's show that just blew me away.

Wow, just watching the first minute of this clip made me want to wretch, and that was along with muscle spasms - the painful kind - going up my leg. Yes, I'm talking about that clip of the Obama speech. Obama is behind in the news. Many of us have already been trying to provide evidence that Barry is a commie. And I would not be telling you about this, except that there is overwhelming evidence of his far-leftist leanings. As in Communism.

If Obama is elected, it will prove Nikita Kruschev was right when he basically stated that we would bury ourselves. Little by little, like how you boil a frog, Americans would contiinue to accept and demand incremental steps toward Socialism, until we were Communist before we even knew it.

Really, I'm just getting started. There is so much I want to write about today... There's videos to produce and upload to youtube.com... It's really a matter of too much to do and not enough time to get 'er done now. So, I just want to say one last thing in this post, just in case time doesn't allow any further rants. Are you ready for this? Are you going to be able to handle this?

We are already in a state of Socialism. Oh, maybe it is compassionate socialism, but it's already being done. We have so many social programs, there should be nobody that is starving or lacking shelter. We have ADC and school lunch programs for the kids. There is rent assistance. Food stamps. Medicare. The ability to buy a house without the means to pay for it.

Now, though, we have a candidate that wants to take it a few steps further, only now, should it happen that Obama is elected, we'll see the difference between compassionate socialism and Communism. If America becomes the ObamaNation, you'll soon find out that dissent will not be allowed. As long as the government is given that kind of power over your lives, and then they change the Constitution of the United States so that government is given power over your lives for "your own good, because they know better than you"... Yeah, you get my drift, right?

There is so much at stake, I could never rant long enough. I'm going to take a short break and hopefully be able to add more to assist you in making the right decision tomorrow.

The Night Before Elections

I just received this in an email from a great friend. I have not yet found out who actually wrote this. As soon as I find out, I will include that information. For now, it is anonymous:

The Night Before Elections

'Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.

When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!

On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi!
He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DON'T WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

Obama's Worst Nightmare! Know what it is?

By John Kubicek

There is a good chance that Barack Obama has nightmares, night after night. As the election gets close, he's got to be having those kind of nights where he just wants to wake up. And in the meantime, Americans ARE waking up, which is why Barack is having those nightmares.

There are a couple great Americans that have recently woken up to smell the coffee. There's one in particular that must have gone around shaking the rest of us awake, and wiping the sandman's residue from our eyes. The voice of "Joe the Plumber" suddenly came out loud and clear. People heard the call. And despite the fact that the Obama campaign tried to clamp down on the press, their efforts didn't quite muffle the voice of Samuel J. "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher, somebody else caught on.

That's right. There was somebody else that was new on "the scene," somebody that had to wait patiently in the wings. Suddenly, that person, a Governor, a woman, began speaking up. And what this "obscure" Veep candidate did was to fire up the real base of the party to defeat the Obamanation:

And suddenly, the inspiration to keep on keeping on seemed to spread. Yes, a hug really helps now and then!

Well, inspiration seems to be contagious! Have you seen anything like this in the McCain campaign?

Okay, so I am sufficiently fired up. Yes, first there was Governor Sarah Palin and Todd Palin and the family; then, on the scene comes "Joe the Plumber". Until the "Joe the Plumber question, the Obama 'Spread the wealth' answer", the GOP was trying to hold Sarah back. Suddenly, though, the fuse was lit. One guy, an obscure American that was just trying to mind his own life, got things started. Next thing he knows, he's in the spotlight, and then he's being investigated.

Have you wondered why?

There is somebody that is very afraid that he could still lose the election. That person is doing all he can to silence this story, but it is of no avail. He feels the "heat". Though the pundits would say it was too late, there are those of us that are just plain fired up. You betcha!

Warning to Citizens: Ask questions at your own risk

By John Kubicek

Apparently, we (concerned citizens, patriots, the New Media, "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher, Sarah Palin) have made somebody very, very angry. Well, you see the problem, don't you? We weren't supposed to know that Barack Obama is a Socialist (or worse). We were also supposed to be kept unaware of what Obama's promise of "change" would be.

The main stream media was doing everything they could to keep it a secret. And now that the "secret plan of Socialism" is exposed, thanks to Joe the Plumber and Gov. Sarah Palin, we are also now becoming aware of the tyranny that is a natural by-product of Socialism... We weren't supposed to know about that, either!

And then, while watching Neil Cavutto on Fox News Saturday morning, I was able to capture the following segment from the show:

Just Because Joe the Plumber Spoke Up - TheRealjohnny2k

The investigation that Neil and Joe are talking about in the video above is an extreme case of abuse of power, obviously by Obama allies. Here is part of the story from http://www.therightperspective.com/:

State and local officials in Columbus, Ohio are investigating if state and law-enforcement computer systems were illegally accessed when they were tapped for personal information about Joe “the Plumber” Wurzelbacher.

Information on Wurzelbacher’s driver’s license or his sport-utility vehicle was pulled from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles database three times shortly after the debate, reports The Dispatch. The info was accessed by accounts assigned to the office of Ohio Attorney General Nancy H. Rogers, the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency and the Toledo Police Department.

Now, that adds even more interest to this story. Being that Ohio Attorney General Nancy H. Rogers is most likely - no, wait, let's go with obviously - a very strong ally of Barack Obama, it is time to call for a special prosecutor and FBI investigation into this case. Nancy Rogers can not be trusted to investigate her own office.

And now, keep in mind, this is the one and the same Nancy H. Rogers that was ordered by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in "an emergency ruling requiring the state to generate a list of more than 200,000 new voters whose information did not match other state records", and then on emergency review, got the U. S. Supreme Court to vacate that ruling. Here is more about that from AlterNet.org, By Wendy Weiser, Brennan Center for Justice, October 22, 2008:

On September 26, 2008, the Ohio Republican Party asked a federal court to issue an emergency ruling requiring the state to generate a list of more than 200,000 new voters whose information did not match other state records, presumably so those voters could be purged from the rolls right before the election, forced to vote provisional ballots, or challenged at the polls. They asked the court before the absentee ballots cast by new registrants were opened and counted. A federal court granted the temporary restraining order, and after a three-judge panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit stayed that order, the full appeals court, sitting en banc, reinstated it. On emergency review, the U.S. Supreme Court vacated the TRO on October 17, 2008, preventing chaos in the election in Ohio and protecting hundreds of thousands of Ohio citizens from disenfranchisement-by-typo.

While I am willing to graciously admit that the U.S. Supreme Court may have made the right decision in this case, the information above does indicate the unwillingness from the Ohio Attorney General's office, run by Nancy Rogers, to resolve the issue of the possibility of thousands of fraudulent voter registrations, garnered mostly by ACORN (another Obama ally). On May 28, 2008, Governor Ted Strickland (a staunch Democrat) named Rogers as Attorney General, replacing Marc Dann (who resigned due to a scandal - see the link to the wiki site from the hyperlink from Marc Dann).

Of course, this information does not prove that Ohio Attorney General Nancy Hardin Rogers had a direct connection to the investigation of Joe Wurzelbacher, but it does illustrate the influence that the Attorney General's office may have had in what should be the "October Surprise" we've been waiting for.

It is one thing for the drive-by media and the Democrat party to send many reporters and lawyers to Alaska to investigate (i.e. dig up dirt on) Gov. Sarah Palin, now the candidate for V.P. on the Republican ticket with John McCain. That is pretty much to be expected. But, for someone, or some group, to start trying to find dirt on Joe Wurzelbacher, is unconscionable. The fact that the info was accessed from three seperate government entities, shortly after the last Presidential Debate, where "Joe the Plumber" was mentioned numerous times, should be enough to make us all shudder.

I fear the worst in this breaking news. I do not think that there is anything to be found on Mr. Wurzelbacher that could make any difference regarding his question to Barack Obama. That water has already gone over the dam. What is frightening is the thought that somebody would use the information to go after good old Joe the Plumber, just to make his life miserable. And this is the MOST terrifying part of all: Is this their way of retaliating against Joe the Plumber for his question, and letting the cat out of the bag about Obama being a Socialist?

Is this a "suggestion" (a message) by "the powers that be" to citizens, that we best not ask any more questions "if you know what's good for you"?

Will one of us average people out here in the blogosphere face the same treatment as "Joe the Plumber"? Will you soon be reading about what they did to "Johnny the Blogger"?

I want thank Peter Goodman (NewsGuy2005 on digg.com) for telling me about a story that was on therightperspective.com. To be honest, the only material I really had to work with before I was directed to Joe the Plumber Background Check Investigated was the video embedded above. The story Peter alerted me to turned out to be the piece of the puzzle I needed to get this blog written today. He "shouted" the story to me just at the right time.

This acknowledgement is written for another reason along with being an opportunity to thank Peter. What this illustrates is that the passion Conservatives are sharing at this time can be very valuable when we assist each other in our efforts. By collaborating on stories, sharing information, promoting each other's works, and edifying our cohorts, the amount of influence and credibility that we can gain is immense. It is also a way that we can cover each other's six (back side).

And like Rush Limbaugh stated just the other day, our side must win, Obama must be defeated, even if we have to drag John McCain over the finish line. (Paraphrased.) Which leads me to a final acknowledgement, and that is to thank "Joe the Plumber", Mr. Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, for being in the right place at the right time, and somehow sparking a campaign that may have been fizzling. It's a whole different story now.

Oh, and for Sarah Palin, just for being the champion of the Conservative movement. You rock, Sarah!

Joe the Plumber Explains Socialism to America

By John Kubicek

Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, now known as "Joe the Plumber," found himself in the national spotlight recently:

AssociatedPress - 'Joe the Plumber' Becomes Focus of Debate

In the above AP video, we get to listen to an edited version of Barack Obama saying, "Blah, blah, blah, uh.... blah, blah, blah, uh blah... ," and all the while, "Joe the Plumber" is patiently trying to get in a question. You get to wait until the very end of the video before you hear part of the words that Obama blurted out that delivered Joe the Plumber into the media spotlight: "Spread the wealth around...."

As soon as the story came out, where the world saw verification that Obama is a Socialist that wants to redistribute the wealth, the left-wing tools of the mainstream media moved in to try to discredit "Joe the Plumber." Well, that didn't work out too well, as Joe is able to repel the attacks. His weapon? Knowledge. He is intelligent enough to know what Socialism is.

And better yet, Joe understands why Socialism is wrong. In this next segment, Neil Cavutto of Fox News has Joe on the phone:

DhimmiTube666 - Joe the Plumber Calls Obama a Socialist for his "Spread the Wealth" Comment on Fox News

Our hats off to Joe the Plumber. He gets it. This is driving the liberals and the left-wing media nuts. He's just like Sarah Palin. One of "us". The elitists, which also includes some from the liberal Republican wing, would really like these people, Joe and Sarah, to just shut up. But, that's not going to happen! Why, afterall, Joe the Plumber got on Hannity & Colmes on Monday night:

TheRealjohnny2k - Joe the Plumber Explains Socialism to America

Joe the Plumber showed us a few things about this election. First, if you speak up, watch out, because the left-wing media tools will come out after you. That's kind of scary! Second, this plumber just happens to be aware of what is going on in this election... despite the fact that he's taking the time to throw the football around with his son. He's like us. He takes care of his family, and he still finds the time to seek the knowledge to know what is going on in this election.

Neither Gov. Sarah Palin nor Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher are elitists educated in some Ivy League school. No, they didn't attend "Hawvawd". They are like most of us. The distance between them and the elitists that want to run this country is vast.

Now, this is for those that haven't yet seen the light: Look at the contempt that the "elite" has for the middle class, which can easily be illustrated by the contempt the liberal left, or even the elite in the GOP, has for Gov. Sarah Palin or "Joe the Plumber". That contempt extends to us, those of us "bitter Americans" that "cling to our guns and religion".

It may not end up winning the election, but that gal from Wasilla and the dude from Ohio are taking on the "establishment". They became the symbols for Middle America. They are letting us know that we face Socialism should we lose this battle. We have a Governor, and we have a plumber, both able and willing to tell it like it is.

Really, We Weren't Supposed to Know

By John Kubicek

Well... We never know when our last moments on this earth will be. And what if you had something on your heart that you wanted to tell people, but your time came before you had the opportunity, or before you took advantage of having an opportunity?

And what if you knew that if you stuck your neck out, it could end up being very unpopular with those that have power? I am afraid to say, but that could the situation I am in today. Whether it happens 15 minutes after I have posted this to the world venue of the internet, or possibly soon after the inauguration of the next President on January 20. 2009, I have to accept the possibility that those black Suburbans will roll up my driveway, to take me away to who knows where or what.

So, here it goes...

From MSNBC:

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell endorsed Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., for president on Sunday, criticizing his own Republican Party for what he called its narrow focus on irrelevant personal attacks over a serious approach to challenges he called unprecedented.
First of all, the "attacks" are neither irrelevant or unwarranted. The truth is, the information about Barack Hussein Obama is not an attack, but just the facts. However, the problem is, the McCain campaign can not get out all of the facts in a campaign speech, a debate, or in a TV news interview. If they were going to get out ALL of the facts in one sitting, they'd end up sounding like an Alan Keyes speech, and they would lose the majority of the American voters for just the reason that many people would be unable to assemble all of the information, especially in one burst. Anything beyond a half an hour is far beyond the attention span of the "average" American.

To be honest with you, most of the Obama "attacks" are not actually coming from the McCain campaign. Well, not directly. Do you remember those rallies where John McCain tried to stress that we needed to "respect" his opponent? Do ya remember that? Well, if Colin Powell is criticizing the McCain campaign for "personal attacks," what would he say about something like this that I found on youtube.com today?

Oh, you think that is not all that bad? Well, here is one that will definitely show you just how far the "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" will go:

Okay, just wait a minute, before you start blasting me with hate-mail, please allow me to explain the rationale of this particular composition. On the one hand, we have the people that express their views that Obama is pure evil, and many people in the "middle" tend to think it is way over the top. But on the other hand, we have the McCain campaign seeming to not want to "offend" or "disrespect" Obama, almost to the degree that Republicans were going nuts because they felt he wasn't saying what is necessary.

But, isn't that really the whole problem? I spent the last few days thinking about it. In fact, I wanted to blog about some of my other ideas about how to not just focus on the Obama negatives, but also show what a great team McCain/Palin could be. And I had some great things to say about how "Joe the Plumber" needed to be our inspiration! Really, it was all good stuff. Well, my good intentions were totally snuffed by various technical difficulties. That happens.

Hey, maybe I did get one good video that sheds a very positive light on the alternative to the ObamaNation! This is great stuff:

Yes, that's the Sarah we love. It's not all about Obama, but what we should be expecting from our representatives and the CEO of the USA.

That's right, I have "suckered" you into watching the above video. It is because I really DO know that it's guys like "Joe the Plumber", you, me... and Sarah Palin, the one from the unknown country... from out of nowhere... You know where that could go, right? Of course you do.

And here I go, into the part of this discourse that may just bury me. It seems that I've been seeing a scenario where people get to choose between leaders, and it is actually a spiritual war. You will soon need to make the choice of which side you are going to back. The role you will play in these times will come down to who you vote for. You better be very prepared to accept the ultimate consequences of your decision.

The ACORN Connection (that few know about)

By John Kubicek

To my friends within the "blogosphere", the mention of ACORN has been widespread for quite some time now. And to those of us "news junkies" that watch such networks as the Fox News Channel, we've been hearing about ACORN, literally on a daily basis, and much of the news is alarming. First, it was ACORN's influence on the economic crisis where mortgage loans had gone into affirmative action mode. And now, the emphasis has been on the ACORN effort to register new voters in ways that may taint the integrity of the election of our next President this year. I'll be offering evidence of that effort later in this column, but first, allow me to explain what ACORN is.

Everybody has heard of ACORN, right? Wrong! In my own independent poll, when asking my friends and family if they know about it, the answer has usually been a blank stare or silence on a phone call. Will you forgive me if I say what the normal reaction is? Many of the people I have asked have no clue what ACORN is!

I need to digress for a moment. In recent days, the McCain/Palin campaign has been mentioning the connection that Barack Hussein Obama has (oh, sorry, I mean that he "had") with the "domestic terrorists" - William "Bill" Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn. (And if you don't know about that part of this story, you've been living in a cave!) What many people don't know at this time, as is apparent from my personal interviews, is that the Bill Ayers connection is just the tip of the iceberg.

Now we know why the McCain/Palin campaign hasn't been talking about the ACORN connection with Barack Obama. Not enough people watch Fox News, or listen to Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, or many other radio talk show hosts, and they don't read the blogs. Simply said, the SHEEPLE are clueless.

So, what is ACORN? Allow me to have Hal Lindsey explain it as he did so well in a recent column:

The most underreported story of this election season is the Association of Community Organizers For Reform Now, known by its acronym, ACORN.

ACORN grew out of what wins the prize hands-down for one of the silliest and most destructive advocacy groups America has ever known – the National Welfare Rights Organization.

Founded by George Wiley, the NWRO became an army of single minority mothers whom he sent out to disrupt welfare offices through sit-ins and demonstrations demanding an end to oppressive eligibility restrictions. His aim was to so flood welfare offices as to cause the system to burst, creating a crisis he hoped would correct America's "unjust capitalist society." From 1965 to 1974, the nation's welfare rolls more than doubled to 10.3 million during generally good economic times. Clearly, it was a winning tactic.

One of ACORN's later tactics was to flood banks and mortgage companies the same way, insisting that they do away with those pesky mortgage eligibility requirements. ACORN was among those most responsible for the failure of the mortgage market and, astonishingly, until some sharp-eyed lawmaker noticed and stripped them out, ACORN was among those named as bailout recipients.

So, what does ACORN have to do with Barack Obama? I'll have Henry Lamb, from a column he wrote, "The 'change' Obama brings," jump in here to explain:

The centerpiece of Barack Obama's campaign is "change." His primary qualification for the office he seeks is his experience as a "community organizer," a state senator for eight years, and a U.S. senator since 2004. To see just what changes Obama wants to bring to the country it is reasonable to look at the values he has demonstrated and the causes he has pursued during his professional career.

Obama's community organizing experience began in 1985 in Chicago. He chose to work for ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now). A review of ACORN's Peoples Platform reveals much about Obama's ideology. The ACORN platform is remarkably similar to the Socialist Party USA platform. Obama's work as a community organizer has won him endorsements from ACORN, from socialists and from communists.

Henry Lamb, weekly columnist for WorldNetDaily.com, continues in the column mentioned above:

Obama's Chicago community organizing efforts took him from the housing projects to the churches. He obviously liked the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's brand of "Liberation Theology," which casts minorities as victims that must be liberated. This ideology squared perfectly with ACORN's vision of the poor. For more than 20 years, Obama worshiped at the feet of the preacher whose most famous sermons called on God to "damn" America.

Obama's path to government also led him through various foundations, such as the Woods Fund, where he served along with Bill Ayers. Together, they were able to funnel significant funding to ACORN, to Jeremiah Wright's church and other similar groups. Between 1992 and 1995, ACORN received $1,493,000 from the Campaign for Human Development, a Catholic charities organization, according to a report for Catholic bishops prepared by the Wanderer Forum Foundation.

For further information, I recommend that you check out the video on youtube.com that Henry Lamb refers to, which was longer than I wanted to use for this piece: Obama, Acorn, And Election Fraud (9:26)

In the last five days, I added four videos to my youtube channel that discuss allegations of voter fraud, and guess who is at the center of the storm: ACORN. Now, here is the latest one that I added, where John Kasich, former Congressman from Ohio, joins Bill O'Reilly (Oct. 13, 2008):

Obama's ACORN connection is a vastly under-reported story in the mainstream media. Even though some news sources have now begun discussing the voter fraud allegations concerning ACORN, you will find any mention of Barack Obama's connection to ACORN to be very scarce. This may be the reason why the McCain/Palin campaign isn't talking about it at the rallies. Sure, they mention Bill Ayers and the fact that Ayers was a domestic terrorist, and is still unrepentant. However, to try to explain all of the evidence of Obama's association with ACORN has been off the table, and there are some obvious reasons for that, one being that very few people even know what ACORN is (until now).

Now, in the McCain campaign, Obama's ACORN connection has slipped completely under the radar, and there are some reasons that are not clearly self explanatory. So, let me just wrap this up with what columnist James Simpson says in the American Thinker on September 28, 2008:
Yet, no one to my knowledge has yet connected all the dots between Barack Obama and the Radical Left. When seen together, the influences on Obama's life comprise a who's who of the radical leftist movement, and it becomes painfully apparent that not only is Obama a willing participant in that movement, he has spent most of his adult life deeply immersed in it.

For the Children: It should be an easy decision

By John Kubicek

Before I start on my rant today, you need to see the following video:

After watching the above video, I will find it easy to vote AGAINST Obama. I may have done that anyway by voting for a 3rd Party candidate, except for the fact that John McCain picked Sarah Palin as his running mate. Connecting the dots to my support for McCain/Palin should now be easy.

The Perfect October Surprise

By John Kubicek

Shouldn't we have all known that there would be an "October Surprise"?

Had it been a terrorist attack, either bigger or smaller than September 11, 2001, do you have any doubt who would be winning in the polls? Would there not have been a gigantic John McCain landslide? No doubt.

But now, we have this economic collapse. All the people that have been working hard, saving, doing what needed to be done in order to have a comfortable retirement, will soon be toast.

There is something very strange about what has happened that is giving me nightmares - you know, like my "Discombobulated Dreams". What is so sad is that the very politicians that caused the financial havoc beyond anything we have seen since the Great Depression in the 1930's, are going to be the politicians that will benefit the most in the polls 27 days from now.

Of course, I'll be accused of utilizing the "fear factor" in my support for the GOP candidate, John McCain. But, I think I've figured this whole thing out, and I need to share these thoughts with you today.

While we watch the economy crumble around us, we will get that helpless feeling. In many cases, it will be the people that worked their whole lives to make it to retirement, to get their kids through college, giving their hard-earned dollars to help out the poor, their own kids, the people that live in countries that live horribly cruddy lives in poverty, the tithing to their churches to help out the various missions... Well, you know, those of us that cling to our Bibles, our guns, and most importantly, for many of us - Our God - will be the ones that are going to be hurt the most. And meanwhile, those that sit around playing on their PlayStations, or AIG executives that go to Vegas and get their manicures on government bailout monies, they will have their savior, the government.

So, what a perfect time to create the situation where only the government can assist them in the times of trouble. The annointed one, the Obamessiah; they will have their candidate that will come to the rescue. It seems to me that Obama and the Democrats have their perfect October Surprise. It was what got Franklin D. Roosevelt elected in 1932. Nothing like extreme economic hardship to get people to accept whatever has to be done. Nothing like a promise of "Change" and "Hope" in these times. If you can't make it on your own, if you aren't perseverent enough to make it through hard times, you have the government there for you. They'll bail you out, right?

Well, no, they won't.... but they don't want you to know that. They will use the children - those indoctrinated by the various liberal groups out there - to keep you feeling guilty if you have made it on your own. While the really wealthy people keep on getting their backs scratched in those wonderful Vegas spas, all will be well as long as you don't expect anything but the crumbs that are left over.

A week ago, Mark DeRosa of the Chicago Cubs got the series rolling with a homerun, giving the Cubs a two-run lead over the Dodgers in the first game of the NLDS. That equates to the great choice of John McCain getting Sarah Palin to be his running mate. From there, the Cubs squandered opportunity after opportunity with baserunners in scoring position. And, John McCain must not make the same mistake. Take a swing or two, McCain! Our FREEDOM is depending on you to at least take a hack or two. McCain needs to quit watching the hanging curve balls that could be hit out of the park.

Strike one, strike two... Hey, same feeling I had last Saturday night. Bottom of the ninth... two outs, no balls and two strikes. McCain, you have runners in scoring position. Sarah Palin is waiting on third base, ready to make a run for the plate. You have guys and gals out here filling the other bases, too, trying to make a difference. We're the fans. We're the ones that know that it's all coming down to crunch time. Make a real effort, give them the October Surprise that keeps us in the game, at least for four more years!
