The Message For Myself: Keep working on it...

Tonight (this morning for some of you), I watched @JjMcNown's message on youtube.com, called "How to live life with STRENGTH. And how to finish STRONG." It was an older one from when he was pastoring Foundation Church Portland, via Fortis Media. It sent a message to me, beyond any of my expectations. JJ is talking about Jacob, and what he was able to tell his children (at some point) before his death.

Seriously, I really had to share this with you today!  Really. Seriously. None of us know how long we are going to be given on this earthly plane.  We all heard about Kobe Bryant's tragic death today, but there were other families, too, that lost loved ones. One family lost three.  For those of us that have children, maybe a generation or two down from us, what would we tell them if we were on our death bed, or knew we'd be gone soon? No. We don't know.  Too morbid? Too soon? Sorry. Well, really, not sorry.  I know this is a struggle for many people to know what to want for our children.  But, after you see this video, and what JJ is telling us here, you may know exactly what it is you are supposed to tell them. And you will know why.

Now, for some of the readers of this column, you may want to go back to the beginning of this video, and see something that I thought was noticeable. JJ McNown seems to be struggling to find the right words at first. He admits to struggles in his own life, where he needs the armor of God. Here is a verse that I know helped him through those trying days.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. ~ Ephesians 6:12-13 NIV
And now, for an encore, I bring you a song that I just wrote while playing by ear, when I was struggling with finding my purpose. This was back last Summer, when I had lost a love of my life. I wanted to be the right guy, but found out I wasn't. Very long story. But playing music, and sharing it, made me feel like I could stand my ground. Here's the song:

To me, Epstein's death sounds like a pre-meditated lie

By John Kubicek

January 13, 2020

Here's a quick confession that I must now write out-loud: I'm still infatuated with the Jeffrey Epstein "death" story. Well, okay, maybe "infatuated" wasn't the right word, being who the subject of this series is about. So, let's go with "obsessed," instead. What I want to do in this final - hopefully - episode in this series that began in August 2019, with "Meet your new neighbor: Why, he looks just like...", followed by my post, "So... If Epstein didn't kill himself, is he still alive?" posted in November, 2019, is to explain my obsession.

First of all, these posts aren't meant to convince you of anything other than there is circumstantial evidence, in the form of facts - Key word: Circumstantial - that might make you say, "Hmmmm..."

"Hmmmm... ," just comes out without you meaning any verbal communication, but the better half looks up from her laptop.

"What's on your mind this morning?" she asks, knowing that while it's still early in the morning, you're really on to something... "Already?" she asks.

"Well, yes, already," you reply, "and yes, there is something on my mind that seems to be an obsession... We may need to have a talk about that," you say with a wry smile and a wink.

"Honey," you say with a quick shift to seriousness, "what is something that we would really like to see, but never seem to get? Justice, in where elites get taken down? Finally? And I mean, we're talking about the really deep state."

You were on a very passionate rant, which was surprising for so early in the morning, with less than a cup of coffee so far. And you continue, more in the way of deep thought.

"I guess it was when we watched that 60 Minutes segment about Epstein's death. There were so many things that said to me, well, it's like they're doing all they can to say he is dead, whether by suicide or he was 'suicided,' but they're hiding the other side of the coin! We're being focused on his death, when it could be something totally different!"

"You're on to something there, my darling, but I really hope it's because you're a sane genius!" Yes, that's the way you know that she's paying attention, you're thinking, as a big smile comes across your face.

You're ready to state your "sane genius" theory, and you place your Trump2020 coffee cup back on the table.  You're ready, time to spill the whole theory.

"There were a lot of reasons for President Trump to replace Jeff Sessions with William Barr.  I think the big one is that he needed an AG, and a handful of people that the President could trust, to look into some very evil things, that wouldn't be intimidated. Being that the most evil crime we've known about is the international child sex trafficking going on, and that there may be many well connected people involved in it, a difficult challenge was looming. Are you following me so far?," you ask.

"Well.... Okay, yes, doing my best... Can I warm up your coffee for you?" But she was doing her best not to interrupt your thought train.

"Sure, more stimulation is needed," you kind of sarcastically answer, and then continue. "What if Epstein was an inside informant? What if he had been working undercover since his last conviction for a sex crime? That would be totally weird, but hey, this whole thing seems weird!" You know you're on a roll, and you continue.  "I would imagine that the government would want to keep Epstein alive as a future witness. I can really hear them saying, 'We need to keep Epstein alive,' and the plan to get him out of the MCC hell-hole was hatched."

You look over the coffee cup you're sipping on, and see that she's in deep thought, and probably ready to say something, so you pause for a moment. You're right, and she has a thought to interject.

"So, if Epstein was alive, there would be an all out effort to make people think he's dead, and it seems to be working! Because... it seemed to me that there seemed to be ample evidence he is room temperature. Right... Well, until you kind of started making me think about it... There's a good motive for it."

Yes, there is only one way any of this could have happened. It would have had to have been planned out, so that we'd be convinced of a suicide, or a murder, and definitely, his death; but never consider that Epstein is still alive.  But if I'm right, can you imagine the horror on the faces of the people that see John Durham in their peephole?

So... If Epstein didn't kill himself, is he still alive?

By John Kubicek

November 23, 2019

There was something that I wrote, almost two months ago, that is still receiving a lot of views. I was trying to figure out why, and my curiosity is partly satisfied, as I kept seeing the #EpsteinDidntKillHimself hashtag on Twitter, on a very regular basis. I am pretty sure that many people besides me, and you, are kind of thinking, there is something much bigger going on, and we haven't been able to determine what it is.  Well, perhaps I can put some additional perspective on the apparent "suicide" question of a once convicted sexual predator by the name of Jeffrey Epstein.

Well, yes, in that last post, I did advise all of the readers to forget that they read it. I would kind of like to, but I can't! I'm no longer afraid to express my feelings about the possibility that he has been put in Witness Protection. I am sure that if I thought of it, those that wanted him silenced have by now, too. So, what do you say, let's return to the conversation between you and your significant other, about 2 months later, after meeting the new neighbor.

"Honey, this coffee is tasting so good this morning," you exclaim to your wife on a cool November morning, while checking the headlines on the news pages you check every morning.

She looks up from her laptop, and shakes her head, "Yes, it was so much work to make that coffee, like I do about every morning."

Of course, you know where she was going with that.  You need to tell her how much you appreciate what she does just to get the day started off right. "Why, of course, that trip you made to Columbia to gather the coffee beans, and then grind them up, and measure out the perfect amount, to put into the coffee maker... " Ooops, you know right then that you probably sounded way too sarcastic for so early in the morning, and you realize that it would be best to zip the mouth for a bit.

But before you even get the coffee cup back up to your mouth, she says, "Honey, I'm thinking, more and more, you could have been right."

"Hmmm? What?" you ask, not knowing where she was going.

"I'm seeing the hash-tag thing, everywhere, when I was scanning through Twitter this morning. It is kind of odd," and she pauses to take a sip of her coffee.

"What hash-tag thing?" you ask.

"You know," she says, obviously annoyed that you didn't know, "that hash-tag 'Epstein didn't kill himself' thing. There are road signs where somebody had hacked them or something. I don't know, but I just did this google search, honey, and the stories about the Epstein conspiracy theories are everywhere..."

You look at her, happily sipping more of your coffee, and you're ready to reply, but her pause ends.

"Honey, don't you remember the days when we watched the 'X-Files,' and you explained a few things to me, like about the smoke and mirrors? The government, when they were doing some kind of black op, that they did their best to divert your attention to the 'shiny object in their other hand'?  This seems just like that, if you ask me!"

Wow, she's really getting into this, you're thinking. (And she remembered those X-Files days!) Well, let's see where she is going with this, you think to yourself. It should be interesting. So you ask, "What, sweetheart, makes you think that anything that is reported in the mainstream news about Epstein, could be bogus?"

"This, honey, this thing that I haven't been able to find anything about a death notice." With a frown on her face, she turns to you and asks, "Why can't I find an obituary for Epstein on google, one where they give the time and location of various services?"

"Oh, it's probably there somewhere..." you mention, but you can tell she wants to continue with her thoughts.

"Sure, maybe if I keep on clicking on 'next page' - for eternity - but wouldn't you think that an actual obituary would show up at the top?  Oh, man, you should see this, so many stories about conspiracy theories and debunking those theories.  Honey, how do we know what is true?"

Before you can even open your mouth to respond to her question, she sends you a photo.

Her caption states, "My only evidence that there was emergency medical treatment, but this is not proof of anything. Look, you really wouldn't even know this was Epstein lying on that gurney! Remember the ABC video of bombing in Syria that was really something here in the states about three years ago? That military training exercise thing? Reeeeealy? That could be anybody, and it could be totally staged!"

Your jaw drops practically to the floor.  "This woman is really getting into this!" you think.

But, back to the questions that we all have, now. Is Epstein dead by suicide or homicide? Or, is Epstein alive, and living on an island, as a free man? Or, is he in a neighborhood somewhere, in witness protection?

The government would have a lot of wonderful reasons to get Epstein out of the cell, and into a protection program, to be a government witness somewhere down the road.  Wouldn't we all celebrate if that was the case? I can see it as a fast way to "drain the swamp!" if you know what I mean.

"Honey," she says, totally interrupting your deep thoughts, "I really do think it would be a good idea for us not to tell the media that the perv is living across the street from us..."

Hoping she's right, because there is the theory he's now living in the Middle East. But just read all of the stories, you (we) will have no way of proving what happened, for sure. Don't feel alone. We're all in that boat. I can guarantee, there is more to come.

Meet your new neighbor: Why, he looks just like...

By John Kubicek

You're out mowing your front lawn one day, and a moving van pulls up to the house across the street. The house was on the market several months, but had just sold sometime in the last couple weeks.  A few minutes after the movers arrived, a car pulls up behind the truck and parks. You continue mowing, but every now and then, you take a sneak peak over toward that house. Trying not to be a nosy neighbor, you know. But, you're still interested enough to get a glimpse of the person that appears to be the new owner, or maybe a renter. Looks like an older guy, probably in his late 50's, or maybe 60's.

After the lawn is cut, you put the mower away, and head into the house.  As you pass through the kitchen, your wife is busy with making some cookies, and is just pulling them out of the oven.

After a kiss, you say, "Honey, those look and smell great!  Thank you!"

She smiles, but then mentions, "Honey, you're welcome, but I'm afraid they aren't all for you this time.  I saw that somebody new just moved into the Johnsons' house, and I planned to do a welcome-to-the-neighborhood visit when you were done with the mowing."

"Go ahead and take a shower and put on some clean cloths," she mentions as she sees the sweat still dripping off your forhead, and a very sweat-soaked shirt.  "The cookies will be cooled off and packed up by the time you're ready."

A short while later, you and the wife are walking towards the new neighbor's house.  You both realized that the move didn't take very long, the moving truck was already gone.  The guy probably had a limited amount of furnishings.  Good timing to welcome the new neighbor, you both mention at the same time.  As you arrive, the new neighbor was just coming outside to take a break with a beer in hand.

Upon your arrival, you make the normal congenial introductions, and the wife hands the plate of fresh cookies to the gentleman.  After some small talk, you observe that he is wearing some kind of ankle bracelet.  The new neighbor sees you checking out the object on his ankle, and quickly explains, "Oh, that?  I just finished up a stint in the big house, and I'm on supervised release."

At that time, you get that feeling that you've seen this person somewhere before.  You can't quite place it, but there is a familiar appearance in his eyes and face shape.  You really can't help it when that happens.

You're walking back home after a short visit with the new neighbor, and as you get to your house, you say to your wife, "Honey, that guy really looked familiar, in some kind of way.  I think I know who he reminds me of..."

She turns to you, and says, "I know who you're thinking of.  Please, honey, don't.  And especially, don't mention it to one other soul.  Promise?"

You just want to say, "Well, he looks just like that guy that suspiciously died in that New York jail...  But, nah, they have a coroner's or medical examiner's report, the Attorney General made a statement about the man's apparent suicide.  They wouldn't lie, would they?  About a couple jail guards who fell asleep and falsified their shift reports?  About the cellmate that was moved out of his cell the night before?  About the lackadaisical way a very high profile prisoner was being guarded by substitute guards, and nonfunctioning video equipment?  That he had been on suicide watch, but somehow... Really?"

You might think about one of the conspiracy theories out there, that the man, Jeffrey Epstein, was murdered in his cell.  That would be the perfect theory, and very plausible, if you believe everyone in the government has a lot to hide.  And that may be true.  Epstein was doing some very horrible things, and there may be some very high profile people that could be implicated.  There could be many suspects that would and could arrange his murder.  But, on the other hand, what if Epstein were to be a State's witness, to tell the authorities about who else was involved in a child sex slave ring?  Would not a Witness Protection operation be plausible?

And that is the problem.  Your wife advises you, very wisely, not to mention your suspicions, to anyone.  The enemy, those that want Epstein to be actually dead, could hear of your suspicions, and you and your family could be endangered.  It would be best to keep those thoughts to yourself, especially if you were actually to meet that new neighbor that could plausibly be Jeffrey Epstein. Just know that all the conspiracy theories about him being murdered in that prison would be wrong, and be happy with that.  That would be a good thing.

And now, do yourself a big favor, and forget that you ever read this post, and saw his photo.  Allow the government to use him, if he is possibly still alive, and let the Feds get those nasty people involved in the child sex trade, and put them all away.

My First Music Venture (With His help, and for His Glory!)

My First Music Venture (With His help, and for His Glory!)

I began my venture into playing my keyboard for relaxation back in January of 2018. Shortly after the terrible school shooting in Parkland, Florida, I started playing the song, that I eventually named "For the 17," and then actually recorded it. I noticed that the sound came in pretty good on my old Kodak digital camera, so I saved the recording, showing me playing the keyboard. I actually sent the video of me playing that song to Andrew Pollack, the father of Meadow Pollack, one of the victims of that horrible shooting rampage.

Almost a year later, I made a wonderful discovery, that I could use my digital video editing program (Pinnacle) to create an MP3 sound file! That began the journey, where my goal was to create a CD-sized collection of my music. (I also copied all of the songs to my cell phone, which is a very nice thing.)

I finally finished the final song on the album, called, "God Bless America the Beautiful," a medley-type blend of the two songs, "God Bless America," and "America the Beautiful." That song took several weeks, before I found the ways to blend the songs together, finding the tones (instruments), and the rhythm I wanted to use. I finished it, finally, on June 7, 2019, and met my goal of having it done my fiancé Angie's birthday on June 8!

Now, wanting to have a way to share my music with others, I began the search for a platform to share them on, other than Facebook. That search didn't take long, as I found Audiomack.com, and it has been great! That happened last Friday, on June 14, 2019. Over the last few days, I found many of the perfect features that satisfy all of the needs to share this music. Since last Friday, we (with my fiancé's assistance) accomplished the following tasks to get to this point:

Upload all of the songs to audiomack.com ✔️

Discovering a way to use cover photos for each song ✔️

Making actual title covers using the cover photos ✔️

Putting all of the songs in the first album playlist ✔️

Well, there you have it. Mission accomplished. Almost. It is now time to start on Music From My Heart, Volume 2! I can not predict how long that will take, as I never know when a new song will come to my heart. It could take another year. Maybe, but I don't really know. But, at least for now, you can hear the Music From My Heart, Volume 1, all from one easy place! Totally free (it is a gift to you)!  Please enjoy, and relax!

Please know, all of this has been accomplished with His help, and for the Glory of Jesus Christ, our Savior.

Music From My Heart

Things on my heart...

Music From My Heart

From my bio at audiomack.com:
I can't read music. I just get on the keyboard, and play, whatever comes to my heart. Sometimes, it could be songs I can remember, where I just play by ear. Other times, it just comes from my heart. This was how I came up with the name for my first album, with 15 songs, "Music From My Heart."
I know that if I share my music, and 1000 people ever become aware of it, only about 100, or less, will bother to check it out. Out of that group of 100 or less, that actually hear it, maybe 10 people will like it. Out of those 10 people, only one will share or comment on it... But that one person that shares it, may be one of those people that influences 10, 100, or 1000 people... I just leave it for the Lord, because that is how He works.

Here is the latest song that I have recorded:

You can listen to all of my songs, 15 so far, on audiomack.com.  They are all instrumental, at least from a keyboard.  The only vocal parts are courtesy of my cat, RC, accompanying in a song or two.

Please be that one person that shares this post.  I pray that you are that one person I influence. I pray that you are that person that influences a thousand people!

Lone Survivors: When we outlive all of our friends and/or loved ones

Things on my heart...

By John Kubicek

"Lone Survivors: When we outlive all of our friends and/or loved ones (from our generation)."

I am somewhat hijacking the name of a book by Marcus Luttrell, called, "Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10." As in many books dealing with war, and the heroes that survived the battles, there are times when people went through all kinds of things but still lived, as did Marcus Luttrell: All while many of their buddies didn't survive.

The thought hit me, that the "Lone Survivors" must ask, "Why me? How did I make it through all of that, and not the rest of the squad? Why am I still here?" Back a few days ago, on June 6, 2019, we had the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day invasion at Normandy. A few of those courageous soldiers that participated are still around, and were telling us about their experiences on that "longest day." Yet, most of those that also survived that day had not lived nearly long enough to commemorate the 75th Anniversary, thus, making those that could, the "Lone Survivors."

As we grow older, for those of us that are so "lucky" with longevity in our genes, it is growing to be too often when we hear about one of our friends or relatives from around our age group, our generation, passing away. That thought really hit me the other day, when my father's long time friend, since they were in grade school, passed away. Probably the last person my dad knew very well. My dad will turn 100 years old in less than 5 months from now. All of our relatives from that generation are gone. My dad is a "lone survivor," from his generation of relatives and friends. Now, his best friend, nearly forever, is gone.

So, this evening, I talked with one of my best friends for the last 50 years. We discussed it, mostly because he found out one of our long-time friends had passed away. And, that we know many others that are no longer with us... That, only because of the Lord's will, we are still here (quite surprisingly, considering things we did in our youth and beyond), I have to consider it's a miracle.

This is something that people my age and above have to contemplate about our possible future. What would it be like, to be like my dad, or Marcus Luttrell, and be a lone survivor? Which would be more difficult? Your SEAL Team squad being lost in a battle, or everyone you knew from your generation gradually dying? Well, I can tell you that it is very difficult seeing those of your generation gradually diminishing. And, that it is important to stay in contact with those we know and love. Please always remember that advice!

Why do they need to raise the tax on the gas for your car?

By John Kubicek

Do they really think that they've dumbed us down enough to get away with this fuzzy math? Just when our cost to drive to work has gone done dramatically because of the drop in gas prices, now the morons in the government want to raise our fuel taxes! Well, not enough of us have been dumbed down that much to fall for allowing a higher tax to drive our cars.

What many people may not realize is that the fuel taxes are based on the number of gallons sold. It has nothing at all to do with a percentage of the purchase price like sales taxes.

Here is the math as it should be, but also includes a little knowledge of basic economics. In the present system with the tax set to the gallons sold, if the price of gasoline goes down, people will buy more, and the revenues from the tax will increase. The lower the cost of the fuel, the more people will drive, and thus, purchase more fuel and PAY MORE TAXES!

So, with a lot more tax revenues coming in, at least in Iowa, there are politicians ready to pass and approve an increase in the fuel taxes. Their story is that our infrastructure needs a lot of improvement. That is a true horror story, being that we have to wonder why the state couldn't finance the work that needed to be done with the revenues that they had coming in. With the lower gas prices, and if my math is correct, and MORE GAS is being sold, why is that revenue increase not quite enough to fund some (needed?) projects?

Could more fuel efficient vehicles have something to do with declines in fuel tax revenues?  Over time, that will become a bigger issue.  But, for now, the high prices for fuel that had occurred over the last six years had a much larger impact on lowered fuel tax revenues.

When the Republican Governor of Iowa, Terry Brandstadt, favors the increase, I fear for our future.   Increasing a regressive tax like the fuel tax is bad for Iowans, and Americans! Higher fuel taxes will add to agricultural costs, and that will ripple across the economy.   I can not explain how such a mistake could be made by Republicans. The new U.S. Senator from Iowa, Joni Ernst (R), has stated that she also favors an increase in the fuel tax.  I just don't get it.

Let's be smart, and allow the market to adjust to the lower gas prices, and there will be more revenues coming in for both the State of Iowa and the federal government.  Here in Iowa, our representatives in Des Moines need to say "NO!" to a higher fuel tax.   What needs to be done can be accomplished by giving the free market the freedom to "drill, drill, drill" and build the Keystone XL pipeline, and make America energy independent.  Just sayin'....

It is up to us citizens to let our representatives know that we do not approve of an increase in the fuel tax.

Survival? Why bother? Most of us could be doomed!

By John Kubicek

I see the survivalist ads all of the time. The gun and ammo dealers, suppliers of food products that will last 25 years, appliances that can run on solar or wind-up power... You can even buy generators that run on alcohol that you can produce yourself... It's endless. If we don't have every possible ability of defending our property and a large storage of survival food, we'll be doomed!

Really?

Well, yes. Between now and Doomsday, you have the opportunity to arm yourself and have the food necessary to eat... for awhile. If there happens to be some kind of incapacitating catastrophe, how long will it last before things return to "normal"? A few days? Or, maybe a few weeks, months... years? How long can you last on survival supplies and gear? Not to mention the cost of various weapons, ammo isn't exactly cheap, either. How much ammo would you need? Do you have a way of knowing how long it would need to last?

I've had these questions, but my answer is always the same: There is no way that I could finance my survival needs. If I did have the finances to acquire guns, ammo, food, spare fuel for a generator, would there be a purpose? I kind of figure that only 0.1% of our population could be totally prepared. Another 5% would probably be able to survive for a few months... Are you getting the picture?

But we don't have to be doomed just because we don't have the resources to begin stocking up on food and guns and ammo. Should there be some type of catastrophic incident, we can all work together to survive. Rather than spending all your money on survival gear, just learn a skill that doesn't require the technology we have today. Learn how to grow food, or hunt, etc... When things start going sideways, each one of us can provide services that can be used to barter for other services or products. such as food. that we need. Most of us do NOT have to be doomed if we work together. Just sayin'...

On serving our country, a note to ALL vets today!

By John Kubicek

I am a veteran of the United States Air Force. I didn't win any medals of valor. I just did my job. So, being a veteran isn't a big deal, even though I was not on the front lines. Right? No. Wrong, absolutely dead wrong.

Whether you were a cook, or worked in the motor pool, or as a medic in the base hospital here in the States, your job was very important! But, I can tell you, there will be people out there that won't understand that in serving your country, if you weren't on the front lines, or a fighter pilot, or a ship Captain, you weren't important. Well, I beg to differ!

A friend of mine had put a post on her Facebook timeline, asking what branch of service and what conflict people served in. So much like social media, what I said had no impact. I wasn't a Marine. I didn't serve during a "conflict" listed and memorialized in D.C. So, nobody responded to what I had to say. I didn't save lives by taking 30 bullets, getting my arms and legs blown off, and didn't get any medals of valor. No, I just did my job, and I did it with pride. But, did I get any Likes for what I wrote? Of course not, there wasn't some kind of valiant sacrifice attached to my time in the service. Well, there was, but not the kind that landed me in Walter Reed or Arlington!

But fear not, Vets! I know that all of you that served did a job that was required, and everyone of you, that actually cared about you had to do, is deserving of the recognition that ALL Veterans deserve today!! There is a reason for honoring all veterans. It shouldn't take being flown into Andrews AFB with a flag over your casket.

I recently watched a very good film, "Twelve O'Clock High," made in 1949, with Gregory Peck as hard-as-nails World War II Gen. Frank Savage, who turns a discouraged group of American bomber pilots and crews into heroes. The once-alienated general comes to view the men in the bomber group he was commanding as family. Why? He succeeded in creating pride in the job they were doing. Every last man became dedicated, and proud of every accomplishment and believing they were succeeding in playing their roles in winning the war against the Nazis. And at the end of the film, General Savage had a slight mental breakdown, being that his leadership was going to lead to some of his men valiantly losing their lives in the big mission which would turn around the war for the Allies.

The main reason that I mentioned this film was because I think that people are forgetting why we won that war. The media makes it out to be that unless you are a grenade diver, willing to blow yourself to smithereens to save your unit, nobody thinks that you've sacrificed to be in our great military. But it doesn't take being in the flag draped casket (that the current President only salutes to look good), to be a hero for this country and preserving our hard-fought liberation from the British, to be free. None of us need to be Captain America, like the movie industry and comic books sells to us, to make a big difference.

Allow me to tell you a little story about my time I served in the USAF. This is NOT just something to brag on, but just to illustrate my point. It is just about the "tiny" things that many of us in the service do to make the whole thing work, and to defend our freedom. Like I wrote in the Facebook timeline I mentioned above, it was "no biggie." But then again, every little thing IS a biggie:
Julie, when I said, "No biggie...." it was tongue in cheek. Actually, what I did actually made a difference. I didn't want to elaborate, but I probably should. I was the PMEL (precision measurement equipment lab) manager for the 3246th Test Wing in Systems Command. I found a problem. Equipment was being used to test the laser guided missiles, and things were not working very well. Things like oscilloscopes and other electronic testing equipment were being used that were not being calibrated according to Air Force specs. Equipment was being taken from our building to test smart bombs, but wrong information was being fed back to the engineers due to equipment malfunctions. Like they say, garbage in, garbage out.

So, I solved the problem by making sure all equipment being used was being tested correctly. I made a list of the equipment, showing when they were due for calibration, that I could provide to the various shop managers in our building, so that they didn't allow test equipment to be used that weren't accurate. The information I provided to the managers also provided AWP (awaiting parts for repair) status of equipment taken to the labs, so that if they needed that equipment for a scheduled test, we could expedite repairs. Like I said, "no biggie," my life was not in danger, except for the fact that a misplaced smart bomb could kill or injure innocent civilians by hitting a school or hospital instead of a radar site.

I was just doing my job, Julie, just doing my job, knowing that even if I did it with everything I could provide could make even the smallest difference in defending our country. It was about Pride in my work.
...
Nobody's job in the military is not important. Whether a service member is a cook, working in the motor pool, keeping our aircraft maintained, or even working in Personnel or Finance admin, every single job is very important!!
Yep, you guessed it. Not one person LIKED or commented on what I said. In social media, especially on Facebook, it takes a grenade dive.

But I am sure that readers of this blog will thoroughly understand what I was saying. No job, no matter how "unheroic" it may seem, is not important! The old joke I heard as a Supply Specialist in the Air Force, something like, "the only action I ever saw was when a box fell off a pallet and broke somebody's big toe," should not be how we look at what we did in the military, serving our country. Each and every one of you that believed in what you did, please believe me, it wasn't just about having a job. It was about pride in being part of the best of the best! Whether it was by cooking a hamburger right for the troops, or making sure an oscilloscope was working right, YOU ARE AWESOME! You don't have to be a former member of the SEALS or Delta Group to have been a hero. You all are, in my eyes! Every last one of our vets are important! I love you all, and thank you for your service!

We're Still Here!

By John Kubicek

Do you remember when Y2K (Jan. 1, 2000) was that potential doomsday? All the computers were supposed to shut down, or not work anymore. Nothing happened.  We have thunderstorms in June that do more damage than resulted from the supposed computer shut-downs at power plants that were to come, and never did.

The latest supposed end-of-the-world date was to be on December 21, 2012, the date that marked the end of the Mayan calendar, according to various "experts" that may not have known what they were talking about. And to make matters worse, for some unknown reason, the date became widely regarded as some kind of apocalyptic nightmare that would happen. Like the end of the world?

Well, guess what! Nothing happened, once again. We're still here. Yes, that's right: Still here!

No Rapture.

No Apocalypse.

No end of the world because the Mayan Calendar supposedly ended on 12/21/12!

Not even a little 666 tattoo on our hands or foreheads!

I happen to be acquainted with people that are actually disappointed that the world didn't end. That's pretty sad, I think. But there is something that distresses me even more: Too many people are grasshoppers, as opposed to being ants!

Yes, that's right, simply put, too many people are totally unprepared for a disaster. Natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, mud slides, blizzards, tornadoes, and wild fires happen all of the time, all over the United States, and the World. And over and over again, people are consistently errant in depending on the government to take quick action, as we witnessed in Hurricanes Katrina or Sandy.

And here is the problem: If small areas of the country are affected so adversely and some kind of assistance to help recover can take such a long time coming, what if the disaster was much, much worse? Take for example the threat of an EMP attack!

For some reason, I was telling a youngster just last night, about the EMP weapon and what it could do, and I immediately felt guilty for giving somebody just getting started in adult life one more thing to worry about! I'm not even sure why I brought up the subject, to be honest. I could ask, "Just where did that come from?" I'm afraid I can not answer that question. However, I later found out that the threat of an EMP weapon being unleashed on America had been written about and discussed on the radio at the very time I made mention of the possibility!

The event on December 21, 2012, that too many people feared, never happened.  The problem was that it was a prediction based on a date.  Because nothing happened on another predicted date, my greatest fear is that people will let their guard down.  They'll become grasshoppers and eat everything that was stored away in case of an emergency.  There may be a lot of people that do not believe that they can survive a total disaster anyway, and thus, will not make any attempt to prepare.

It's frustrating to even fathom the end of our lives as we know it, and not have any hope of surviving the ultimate calamity.  The good news is, if we all work together, WE - those of us that survive the initial disaster - CAN overcome the impossible task of recovering; we'll just have to work together! Individuals alone will have little chance of survival. There is NO WAY to have enough preparation to get through something like an EMP attack that sets the country back 150 years, on our own.  Only the very rich that can afford the shelter and supplies could do that.  Right?  No. Not even close!

Actually, it will only be by working together that we will survive a catastrophic EMP attack.  WE have to plan ahead, together.  A neighborhood, a small town, or most any societal clique, can work together to combine our abilities and resources!

It is truly disgusting that such an attack could ever happen.  But face it, there are enemies of freedom that really want America to be exterminated!  The EMP is the ideal weapon, being that it COULD produce mass panic.  If we work together like ants, however, we can get through it.  And our objective is to be planning for what we must do, educating people about the possibility, and being willing to pitch in to help each other out.

We're still here! That is not an accident!  There is somebody UP THERE that wants this country to survive as a beacon for the hope of freedom beyond our lifetimes.  We can avoid an attack like we did when the Japanese deferred an attack on mainland America because of the probability of "a gun behind every blade of grass."  And, well, whether or not some Japanese general ever said that, you should know darn well, with any common sense, that when the Chinese said we should disarm the public, an invasion following a debilitating EMP attack would be inevitable!

We're still here!  It isn't that I'm trying to be a harbinger of doom and gloom.  Our hopes should not dim as the sun sets, because just like yesterday, or today, tomorrow the sun will again rise.  The Phoenix will be brought out of the ashes, should anything happen!  And I think our enemies know that, despite the poor excuse for a leader that was re-elected.  They are aware of our faith and love for each other, and our will to fight for freedom, even if just a few are willing and able; they can not conquer us.

We're still here, and we will be as long as God allows.  I'm just sayin'....

The USA is the Greatest Country in the World, because...

The guy on the right is Right!
If you haven't voted yet, like you can already here in Iowa, I just wanted to make sure that you understand that there is a very sharp distinction between the two candidates. And there is one way that you can tell what the immediate contrast would be just by knowing what the respective candidate's supporters, and eventual voters, are saying.

I can easily illustrate my point with the two videos provided below.  I'll begin with the video of a supporter of Mitt Romney, the guy on the Right.  This supporter is Black, Conservative, and a very successful entrepreneur. His name is Herman Cain, and he was a former candidate for President in the GOP nomination process. His message: Is America a great country, or what? USA! USA! USA!

The Greatest Country in the World

Video provided by JobCreatorsSolutions on Sep 28, 2012

You see, one of the main attributes of a Romney and GOP supporter/voter is a great love of the United States of Ameria, and the belief that it is a great country where you have an opportunity with Free Enterprise. And that is the fundamental difference between the candidates, and their supporters.

On the Right, there is a desire for self-reliance. Whereas, on the Left, there are many supporters of Barack Obama, despite his horrific record on the economy, the national debt topping $16 trillion, and a foreign policy and national security that is a complete failure - not to mention scandals like Fast & Furious or the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya on 9/11/12 that the Obama administration failed to admit (lied about!) for over a week - you have to wonder what it is that makes them want to vote for Barack Obama.

The unfortunate truth is that perhaps some people have learned to expect "free stuff" from the government. And when they get all the government handouts, at the expense of hard working folks that pay the taxes, you would expect them to also be chanting, "USA! USA! USA!" But do they? I didn't hear anyone in the following video saying that this is the greatest country in the world. Did you?

Original Obamaphone Lady: Obama Voter Says Vote for Obama because he gives a free Phone

Video provided by RealFreedom1776 on Sep 26, 2012

In the vernacular of social media: LOL! Apparently, the lady above isn't aware of the fact that the "free Obama phone" is an urban legend; it is total misinformation, as it turns out. The actual truth is, "The federal program wasn’t started by President Obama. It dates back to 1996, as part of the Telecommunications Act of 1996." Really? Is that not true irony? The ignorant sheeple will believe anything, especially if it means they can get free stuff. Sure, vote for Obama! Get that free ObamaPhone! And the free health care!  Right...  Good luck with that!

Like I said, there is a sharp contrast between the candidates, and a very distinct difference in what their supporters believe is true.  (What they believe is true and the actual Truth are vastly different!!)

Please allow me a moment of deep reflection. There is a need for me to expound on what I've said so far. In my personal life, there are many people that I love and cherish as close friends, and many are supporters of Barack Obama and the Liberal/Progressive agenda. I do not wish to demean, demonize, or offend them in any way. I acknowledge that they understand what Obama stands for, and agree with his ideologies, and that is totally their own choice. I may disagree with them, but I respect their beliefs. I just hope that it is understood that I am not trying to bash people for their beliefs, or people that lack the access to valid information.

I am, however, going to passionately attempt to make sure that people actually understand the differences between the candidates, if they don't already!

It IS the Greatest Country in the World, because .... (Fill in the blank).  Two possible answers: "Because you have opportunity because you are free to ATTEMPT to succeed," or because, "If you fail, you can get a free phone."

But sorry, folks, it isn't really an ObamaPhone.  It IS, actually, a DependencyPhone.

Is this a great country, or what?

I'm just sayin'...

The Choice the Media Won't Tell You About

GUEST COLUMN

The Choice the Media Won't Tell You About

By Susan Poper Gordon

The Right Man is the guy on the Right
Dear America, you have 50 days to wake up. You are not just choosing between the two guys in this picture You must decide whether there will be a free country with opportunity for all and the freedom to achieve; or a country with cradle to grave control of you, your children, your grandchildren, or any one else you know.

The media will only tell you about the guy on the left. What they WON'T tell you is that HE is the one who wants total government control, even though he looks cool. Government control is what he has been taught all his life. He believes America is too full of itself and wants us to be as equally poor and powerless as the rest of the world.

THERE IS NO CRIME IN SUCCESS

The media also won't tell you anything good about the guy on the right. So I will. Yes, he looks like a businessman. That's what he is. There is no CRIME in success! He worked HARD to achieve it and has donated millions to charity. He never took a salary as governor of Massachusetts or as chair of the Olympics - but worked like he was.

The guy on the right loves this country with every fiber of his being. He wants your children, grandchildren, and the kids down the street to have every opportunity to succeed, to not be crippled with a national debt that has skyrocketed under Barack Obama, to be protected by a strong military, to be able to shop in neighborhood businesses and work big, medium and small businesses that can pay them well because they are not taxed and regulated to death.

The guy on the right wants you to enjoy all the freedoms that are guaranteed to you as American citizens - the freedom to speak (and protest), the freedom to worship, the freedom to assemble, the freedom to write and create - and the choice of a great education that's not controlled by the public (government) school in your zip code.

For the future of America, you must vote Mitt Romney on November sixth.

Why I Need to Do Something Different

By John Kubicek

I originally wrote this back on December 27, 2011, but I never published it. I was going to add more to this, but that didn't happen. It does just happen, though, that this topic will fit in with another project I am currently working on, and so posting this is essential in making my point. As is, it is done.

The interesting thing is that I did not have to change the title. It fits perfectly with the blog that will link to this column.

Here is what I wrote back on December 27:
There is one thing that I've learned, and it took way too long for me to figure it out: Change is inevitable. It all hit me during the most recent December holiday weekend... (Okay, I'll say it: The days we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, known as Christmas.) I had my epiphany, and it was not easy for me to accept. But accept the truth I must, because if I don't, I won't survive the new century that we are embarking on.

In order to find a way to go along with all of the changes that we will face in life, it is essential that we are willing to make adjustments to our life plans that will enhance our ability to adapt to changing conditions.

The problem is, seeing a tradition end is not an easy emotion to overcome. I experienced the perfect example of that on Christmas Eve. A long-time family tradition of a large get-together on Christmas Eve with my family seems to be fading away. The grand-parent's (my parents) grand-children are spread across the country now, and can't get back to Iowa at this time to keep the tradition alive. I knew after the most recent Christmas Eve on Saturday evening that it'll never be the same.

This Is How They Do It

By John Kubicek

There will be one thing that will be apparent to you in a very short amount of time: President Obama will find a way to make the bad economy be for his advantage in November of 2012. Obama is in the process of making sure that Republicans and rich people get the blame for how bad things are going,  even with all of the stupid ideas the Democrats and progressives have come up with that have failed.

It's Class Warfare 101. It's a trap, and Republicans can hardly avoid falling into it! It really isn't that difficult, is it? Obama's proposals to stimulate the economy with further spending and higher taxes will be a none-starter in the House, controlled by the Republicans. There are doubts that even the Senate will give Obama's plan a chance. When the economy totally fails, as it will pretty soon, Obama's propaganda arm in the media will reiterate the White House claims that it was because the Republicans refused to act on Obama's plan.

There will be anger out there amongst the potential voters in 2012 due to the fact that things are going so bad. The Democrats, especially those occupying the White House, are fully depending on the anger being directed towards wealthier Americans, which then will be extended to mean the Republican Party. It really wouldn't be that difficult for "the masses" to be influenced to direct their disgust toward those that we know as the Capitalists.

Obama and his Leftist minions are playing the "American Spring" card. They are depending on the ignorance of the American People, perpetuated by the dominance of the Left in our public schools and the media, to know that it is Capitalism that provides jobs.

Believe it or not, I came up with the ambition to write about the antidote to the sure re-election of The One (bHo) when a song came to my mind this morning: "This Is How We Do It". I think that there is a way to vastly decrease the amount of influence that the liberals have over the American people. It's kind of diabolical, but I believe that it would work. It may be our only hope.

After years of indoctrination from the mainstream media, Hollywood, and "educational" institutions (more like public indoctrination centers), we've learned that black people and women have been held down (so they say), and unable to reach the top positions in politics and society. We the people should probably give some thought to using that against the Left. This may sound crazy - but no crazier than the idea that my friend Joseph Farah proposed - what we need on the Republican ticket, to defeat Obama, is a black guy and a woman. Hear me out: It isn't that crazy of an idea!

Seriously, I'd love to see the way the Democrat-controlled media would spin a Palin/Cain or Cain/Bachmann ticket for the GOP! The Democrats could not use the racist or feminist cards. Just how could they find a way to get the masses to throw darts at pictures of a black man or a woman? They can't. That is why this idea is going to throw broken glass under the tires of the Democrat machine.

The Liberals/Progressives have had generations to mess with our heads. It's time to turn the tables on them. It's time to show the people that they have been lied to, that it isn't about race or gender. We need to help people understand that the United States of America is still a great country where all people have a chance to succeed. This coming election is our time to defeat the defeatists that have tried to tell you that you have no chance to overcome the odds against you.

This is how we do it!

The translation of the Hawvawd study? DUH! (Bring on the Fireworks!)

By John Kubicek

Seriously, I can not make this stuff up! While in the process of working on another blog story, "Occupied Nation ~ By Patrice Lewis," on Sunday morning, a subject came up on Fox & Friends Sunday that took me by surprise.  I had not heard about this before Sunday. Isn't it interesting that it came out right before the July 4th holiday weekend?  Surely, it was just ironic coincidence.   Here is that great segment from Fox & Friends:

From U.S. News, on June 30, 2011, "Harvard: July 4th Parades Are Right-Wing" by Paul Bedard:
"The political right has been more successful in appropriating American patriotism and its symbols during the 20th century. Survey evidence also confirms that Republicans consider themselves more patriotic than Democrats. According to this interpretation, there is a political congruence between the patriotism promoted on Fourth of July and the values associated with the Republican party. Fourth of July celebrations in Republican dominated counties may thus be more politically biased events that socialize children into Republicans," write Harvard Kennedy School Assistant Professor David Yanagizawa-Drott and Bocconi University Assistant Professor Andreas Madestam.
How long did U.S. News hang on to this story before they published it? And we must also ask, was it held until a Thursday, just before a long holiday weekend, for a reason?  I realized right off the bat that the answer would be yes.  The best way to make sure a story doesn't get much coverage is to be putting it out just before a holiday weekend, and during the conclusion of the Casey Anderson trial!  Who in their right mind would want those Harvard professors to undergo a lot of well deserved ridicule for such a lame study of something that would only take common sense to figure out, leading to such an idiotic analysis of the survey results?  DUH!

The obvious facts are that seriously liberal Americans do not celebrate America's independence, and patriotism is a dirty word to them.  Therefor, it could be reasonably concluded that the two Hawvawd professors were only looking for a way to denigrate the part of the population that celebrates the Fourth of July with parades and fireworks.  That isn't even shocking news, is it?  DUH!

The most ironic part of this story is that those professors that are paid the big money for being so "smart" don't even get it!  Do they not realize that many of the people in the Democratic Party also celebrate on July 4? When those pinheads say, "How dare you Democrats be so patriotic?", this has to make the majority of the Democrats feel really happy to be categorized in such a derogatory way so that the liberal leadership could complain about the divisive activities during the Independence Day festivities! I would call it alienation on steroids.  DUH!

Here is my answer to the "Hawvawd" study! Are you ready for this?

~ The above video is from the finale to the fireworks in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on July 4, 2011. ~

To the patriots throughout this country, from sea to shining sea, whether Democrats or Independents, welcome to the GOP!  If you got the chills running through your spine while watching the above video, I'll see you at the next Tea Party rally.  I'm just sayin'...

Lost at sea? So ... I may be a "deather"?

By John Kubicek

May 9, 2011

I do not buy into most conspiracy theories, unless... umm...

Maybe it's just me, wondering about very strange changes in the original storyline put out by - who else - President Barry.

If you haven't noticed, all of the Press - even Fox News - has made the claim that there is no question that the raid on Obama's "crib" took place, he is dead, and he sleeps with the fish. No doubt. No questions, at least from anyone that claims to be part of the media. And it has been made clear that anyone that even mentions that there could be a doubt, is... well, they are currently being dubbed as "deathers."

But wait, even al Qaida (or is that al Qaeda?) put out a statement that Obam... Again, sorry, I mean Osama - is dead! That has to settle it, right? I mean, really, if al Qaida says it, it has to be true... umm... right?  Of course! Because, when Osama ... I mean Obama... says it, it has to be true.  Especially when he had just finally released his birth certificate! No questions there, either! ... Right?

Let's just put it this way: How would the terror group know it for sure? What kind of evidence do they have that we have no knowledge of (yet)? We haven't seen any photos or actual video, the body was given a burial at sea (within a couple hours after the announcement by President Barry, by the way), and the storyline seems to keep morphing before our eyes. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't President Barry mention that there was a forty minute firefight, along with other major details that have been changing almost on an hourly basis? Every time that I see or listen to the network news, something changes.

We're just supposed to take their (the government's) word for it. The media tells us to. So, what kind of evidence does the media have that we have no knowledge of?

Wait a minute... If the press knows more than we do, why would they have not broken the story yet?

It isn't my fault that I have any lingering doubts! I was just getting ready to start celebrating after the announcement by President Barry a week ago, but then I heard that the bin Laden corpse was "buried at sea" to honor his Islamic religious beliefs. WHAT?  I don't know why, but red flags started coming up all over the place. My celebratory mood began transforming into skepticism.

Yes, I'm guilty of holding back this column because I didn't want to burst your bubble while I rained on the parades! I didn't want this one to be the buzz kill. I didn't want to spread any kind of new conspiracy theories, and I held off while the story developed.  I really was hoping that I would see something that would convince me beyond a shadow of a doubt. Well, actually, I haven't, which is why I'm writing this column.

But obviously, the media is buying into the government storyline, no questions asked. Why? Because all they want is for Barry's ratings to climb back up? Or wait, it could be an excellent plan - to actually defeat the enemy - by making them believe that we would take such a bold move to kill Obam... oops, did it again - to kill Osama bin Laden (aka UBL), in Pakistan, without their knowledge.

I'm confused. Why wouldn't we want to take Osama alive? Just look at all the intelligence we got from Khaleid Sheik Mohammed (KSM), some of which helped to allegedly find and kill Osama bin Laden.

Isn't it kind of weird that Navy SEALs had been put through military court because of an assault on a terrorist that was captured in Iraq, but an unarmed Osama bin Laden could be shot and killed, and that's cool with Eric Holder and JAG?

I'll be called a "deather" because I asked questions. I never said that UBL wasn't killed, or that the whole story was a lie. Osama bin Laden may or may not be dead. I don't really know for sure. Do you? Shouldn't Donald Trump be asking for a death certificate?

Setting the Stage - Part 6: Could the Eagle Crash and Burn?

EDITOR'S NOTE

The major theme of this column is about giving up rights in order to be secure. Four years later, my views may have changed a tad bit. The reason my views changed? When I wrote this, I felt that the Bush administration would not have a reason to use our communications against us if we weren't actual terrorists. Well, now, I am not so confident that is the case with the Obama administration. It's all different now.

Just about two years ago, on April 12, 2009, we had this story:
A newly unclassified Department of Homeland Security report warns against the possibility of violence by unnamed "right-wing extremists" concerned about illegal immigration, increasing federal power, restrictions on firearms, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty and singles out returning war veterans as particular threats.
And it doesn't stop there. Now we have organizations tied to George Soros trying to put a stop to Glenn Beck and Fox News. And it gets even better. Social networks like Facebook and youtube and digg.com have been ominously shutting down Conservative users that have somehow violated obscure "terms of service" (a subject that I plan to write about in the near future, with information that will support that claim).

With that being said, please keep in mind how a shift in focus from Islamic terrorism to domestic terrorism makes what I wrote almost five years ago now have an even more ominous meaning.

Setting the Stage - Part 6:

Could the Eagle Crash and Burn?

By John Kubicek

Originally posted: Thu Aug 31, 2006 12:18 pm

I love America. That is why this installment has been the most difficult to write. Because what I see happening to this country scares me, and I firmly believe that it could drastically change the way life is as we know it! Just about a week ago, on Aug. 15, 2006, while watching Fox News, I heard President Bush say, "The enemy has got an advantage when it comes to attacking our homeland - they've got to be right one time, and we've got to be right a hundred percent of the time to protect the American people." [President Bush Meets with Counterterrorism Team, August 15, 2006 (link no longer available)] It had a familiar ring to it. I had a feeling I've heard it before. Sure enough, I found another event that he had said this. But I had no idea how long ago it had been:
"You know, we have to be right 100 percent of the time. And the enemy only has to be right once to hurt us." [President Bush, September 30, 2004 in the First Bush-Kerry Presidential Debate with John Kerry, Presidential candidate for the Democrats in 2004: (Link no longer available)]
President Bush was right when he said it in 2004, and he is still right now. And what is so amazing is that in these five years since September 11, 2001, so far, we have been right 100 percent of the time. So far. It has either been a miracle that America hasn't been attacked since 9/11, or, the next attack is still in the preparation phase.

Unfortunately, it is more likely the latter possibility, that another attack on America is yet to come. Since that horrible day in September 2001, I've continued to have a dark cloud hanging over me, wondering when the other shoe would fall. Frankly, I've been surprised that there had not yet been another attack. But in these five years, my personal analysis of that has developed from a greater understanding of the current situation. (Which of course, this is the purpose of writing this topic, "Setting the Stage"!)

One of the first things I learned was that al-Qaida takes it's time to plan an attack. They are very patient. From the first time the World Trade Center was bombed in 1993, it was another eight years before another attack on the WTC took place, which unfortunately succeeded on the second attempt to knock down the towers. Our enemy has an advantage because of their patience. It seems that the American population has a tendency to let our guard down. This is why America needs to maintain total vigilance in the effort to prevent the next attack.

But this is where I start getting very nervous. It all seems to do with politics. I felt strongly about that during the Bill Clinton era. But even with my preferred party in control of the White House, Congress, and the Supreme Court, there is still reason for great concern.

One of the big debates that comes to mind is the ability to balance our civil liberties with winning the war on terrorism. Keep in mind the fact that we are fighting this war on terror for the reason that we want to keep our civil liberties, and for that matter, to stay alive. On the other hand, the freedom of the press allowed the New York Times to disclose major intelligence operations that the United States had been using to fight the war on terror.

Though I still want my civil liberties kept intact, I understand what would happen to our freedoms if we lost the War On Terror. And I firmly believe now that it will take all that we have to win, but it could take just one terrorist attack that succeeds could easily result in a total victory for our adversary, the terrorists. For the U.S. to defend the country, our forces need to know what the bad guys are planning. It is difficult to get people inside the al-Qaida organization far enough to spy on them to find out what the leadership is planning on doing. It may be easy to infiltrate a terrorist cell, but getting much further beyond that would be extremely difficult. So, let me ask you, how would you be able to find out what they are planning if the U.S. intelligence agencies didn't somehow monitor telephone, cell phone, and internet communications?

And yes, we want our press to be free. There would be no Fox News if some far left liberals had the ability to suppress the media. A far Right regime with the power to totally control the press would be just as dangerous. However, I believe that the American media should use their freedoms wisely, and not disclose information that hinders our efforts in the War On Terror. Hey, I know that those big stories about the government monitoring phone calls we have with Mom sell papers, even though that really isn't what our intelligence agencies were actually doing. Now, think about it, is our government going to worry about how great Grandma's tomato crop was this year? Or, are they gong to worry about calls to Pakistan or Afghanistan, which I would hope would be the case. That would be nice.

As I titled this segment of "Setting the Stage", Part 6 - Could the Eagle Crash and Burn?, I wanted to bring it to your attention how that line, "The enemy has got an advantage when it comes to attacking our homeland - they've got to be right one time, and we've got to be right a hundred percent of the time to protect the American people." That ONE time that the enemy is right could spell the end of this country as we now know it.

Okay, it would obviously take more than ONE 9/11 to completely destroy America. But it has been so long since another attack that drastic that America was able to come back, hopefully stronger than ever. The United States was hit hard, but not hard enough to devastate our economy. It was tough for awhile, but American perseverance got us out of that funk in a hurry. The U.S. may have bent, but we didn't break.

What we went through 5 years ago was difficult. That was ONE where the terrorists were right (they accomplished their objective). But, what if the next attack is by far worse? Could it happen? You decide. Let me explain what COULD be done that would basically lead to a tragic end to our way of life. But, before I do that, please let me explain my objective isn't to scare you. I only want you to be aware of just why we may have to make some sacrifices in order NOT to be WRONG that ONE time! I need to warn you, if you were to think about these things I'll tell you that could happen right before you go to bed, you may not get to sleep right away. You may not be able to sleep at all! So do not read the rest of this post just before you go to bed today.

Think about this scenario: A few terrorists sneak across the border with Mexico, in trucks cleared to go through the border with little or no inspection (thanks to NAFTA), and they have nuclear weapon components on board. Everything goes as planned, and seven major U.S. cities are vaporized with nuclear weapons. New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Seattle and Kansas City, all on the same day. Our major infrastructure centers of government, defense, commerce and finance, technology, communications and transportation would all have suffered crucial blows. Seeing how long it will be to rebuild New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, I'll let you figure out how long it would take to rebuild the vital centers of infrastructure.

But wait, I've just begun. While you may be thinking that would be a long shot for the terrorists to accomplish (which you could be totally wrong to believe), there are other things that would really make our lives a big mess. The previous scenario would be a VERY big win for terrorists, but it would take a great amount of planning and coordination to accomplish. And I am not sure if our enemy is incapable of such an attack. But let's look at one other scenario that would take much less of an accomplishment and still have devastating results for this country. Have you ever heard of the EMP weapon? EMP stands for Electro-Magnetic Pulse. ONE nuclear bomb somewhere over this country, a few miles up, will fry most of the computer processors and circuits in a very wide area. The nuclear weapon sends out a huge amount of radioactive, electromagnetic doses of energy. There was a Congressional study that confirms the massive damage that would be done to our infrastructure should such a thing happen. ONE submarine off the East or West coast, ONE missle capable of reaching the Midwest...

While you may think it just isn't possible for a hit such as those I've mentioned above, you may want to think again. Remember The Evil Axis that I wrote about earlier in this topic. It only takes one rogue country to sell a nuclear weapon or two to a terrorist organization. Iran bought high-tech subs from France. There are stories of rogue ex-nuclear scientists from the Soviet Union days that would sell weapons to terrorists. There is A.Q. Khan, the Pakistani scientist that has supplied rogue countries at the top of the President's "Axis of Evil" list with instructions and materials to build nuclear weapons. You decide.

And while you are making decisions, please consider if all your rights to complete privacy would be sacrificed or not if it meant keeping the evil terrorists from being right that ONE time. At the very least, consider which of your rights you would be willing to sacrifice if it meant that the United States was ALWAYS right.

I know, it does make me think. How much of our civil liberties would we be willing to give up if that is what it takes to win the War On Terror? But once again, an even scarier thought came across my mind. Yes, I know this will probably come off sounding like a sci-fi flick about a one-world ruler controlling our every move and thought like we were robots... Or possibly in another reality, in a parallel universe.... Do you get the drift? If that "evil entity" that wants to rule the world were to come up with a plot where our civil liberties were eroded, little by little, so as to someday make it impossible for us to be able to revolt, we would be led to believe that our security was at risk. We would allow that erosion of freedom in the name of securing our great land. Little by little...

I still believe in this country. I believe in what I grew up to know that the United States of America stands for. I was lucky to grow up in a time that my teachers in school instilled the love of Freedom that I have. There wasn't the revision of history as our children now get out of school. Believe me, I could write volumes of books about what I see happening to the United States that could lead to the demise of this wonderful country, as many of us still remember.

So, here is what I want to get across to my readers. What I write isn't meant to instill fear in you. It is meant to inform you. I firmly believe that the information that I discuss in this topic will help you make the right decisions. I know how relative my credibility is to how serious you will regard what I write in this topic. I've been doing my best to establish the foundation to some of the revelations I have had, so that you WILL at least consider some of things I write about with not fear, but hope. I am mentioning this now because the next installment of this topic will be going into various areas that touch on the "fringes" of our collective rationality. Don't worry, baby, you'll see what I mean when that post is written... Coming soon, as they say.

Setting the Stage - Part 5 - God's Chosen People

EDITOR'S NOTE

For reasons that I will believe that you will soon understand, once you read this installment of Setting the Stage, I need to include what I said back in July 2010 in the last installment of this series. It is a disclaimer that you should be aware of:
Written four years ago, I take great pride in knowing what I knew THEN! Does that make me prophetic? Absolutely not, but like Glenn Beck, I picked up on things that were happening, and was somehow able to see what was going to be in store for America in the future.
There is a major reason for the turmoil in the Mideast. Bringing in this installment of Setting the Stage at this time is so that we are all aware of what Israel will be facing very soon.

Setting the Stage - Part 5

God's Chosen People

In the past four weeks, there was a war going on. We heard about it day after day on all the news networks. And in the mainstream press, it is charged that Isreal took disproportionate retaliation against the terror group, Hezbollah, for their killing and capture of Israeli soldiers.

Just in case you haven't been following the news, I'll clue you in on a few facts about this war, and why Israel is fighting for her survival. In this installment of "Setting the Stage", you'll also find out why there are so many countries or terrorist groups that want to destroy Israel and America.

Following WWII and the Hitler-led Nazi genocide of over 6 million Jews, the World, through the newly established United Nations, decided to give the Jews their own country, their own land, the land that God "promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob" [Genesis 50:24 (NIV)]. (You can learn more about God's covenant with Abram, renamed as Abraham by God, in Genesis 15 and Genesis 17.) So, in 1948, Israel became a sovereign nation. And the Jews began returning to their land promised to them by God. However, since those days of 1948, and long before, the Israelis have had no peace.

A group of Arabs, dubbed the name "Palestinians", were supposedly displaced by the establishment of the nation of Israel. Since that time, the "displaced" Palestinians have been used by the Islamic world as an excuse to attack Isreal. I believe, though, that God has been true to His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to protect His children of Isreal. Despite Israel's many enemies, whether it be Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, or terrorist organizations such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and the PLO, Israel has maintained a military second only to America, and has been able to fight off all attacks.

In this recent battle, the one that was just "ended" by a United Nations resolution to cease fire, there were no victories. Hezbollah, sponsored by Iran and Syria, did not win. However, there are some people, mostly on the side of the Islamofascist terrorists, feel that Hezbollah was the winner. To a certain degree, those people would be correct. That is because Hezbollah wasn't totally wiped out, and they can begin regrouping their forces and resupplying their weapons to fight on another day. So, they really didn't "lose".

As for Israel, the conflict with Hezbollah may have been called to a halt by the cease fire, but the war is not over. That is the war for Israel's very survival. That is the war with The Evil Axis. The President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, calls for the annihilation of Israel. Ahmadinejad has openly stated that Israel should be wiped off the map. Keeping in mind the danger this man, and his evil regime poses to Israel, and the world, Iran is the main backer of Hezbollah. They trained the Hezbollah militia, supplied their weapons, and even had Iranian troops in Lebanon assisting with the firing of the Katyusha rockets at Israel. Iran was fighting a war against Israel using Hezbollah as proxy force.

Keeping in mind that the Katyusha rockets that rained down on Israel from Hezbollah fighters in Southern Lebanon were deadly, they were far from being able to "wipe Israel off the map". The point is that the 35 day war between Israel and Hezbollah took the media attention off Iran's efforts to develop nuclear weapons. On August 22, 2006, Iran is supposed to give an answer to the United Nations regarding their nuclear incentives offer. And here is the very scarey fact about this particular date. Aug. 22 happens to correspond to the 27th day of the month of Rajab of the year 1427. So, why is that anything to worry about? There is Bernard Lewis, a Mideast expert from Princeton University, that explains how Shiite Muslims may pick that date for a cataclysm that will bring back the 12th Imam. And, Ahmadinejad is promising a light in the sky over the Aqsa Mosque, which is in Jerusalem, by August 22.

Because the Jews are God's Chosen People, and that He has a covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, I know that Israel will not be wiped off the map as Ahmadinejad has proposed. What I also know now is that these looming events, and what has taken place in the Mideast in the past month, are "Setting the Stage".

Some people that are reading this installment are now rolling their eyes. There's a good chance that they may believe that I am out here in the cyber-world writing about a doom and gloom forcast of things to come. And then there are Christians that will say that I am trying to prophecy the Second Coming, which is something that we don't know the time God has planned that for. But keep these verses from Matthew 24 in mind:
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"
Jesus answered:
"Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains." [Matthew 24:3-8]
My purpose for writing this topic, "Setting the Stage", is not to suggest that I have some devine gift to prophecy. Much of what I have been writing has been based on my intuition regarding events we are currently witnessing in this world. The only thing that I take personal credit for - because the rest of the credit goes to the Lord - is that I have taken the time to inform myself, and then pass on this information to you. All the credit goes to God for leading me to some awesome sources and paying attention to the information I come across.

In the next installment, assuming there is still time to write it, I'm going to be telling you about... Oh, wait a minute, I am not sure I want to give it away quite yet. It has to do with America. And it deals with decisions that you may be forced to make. I don't want to alarm you, but a lot of things are yet to unfold, which is why this ongoing topic will continue to include the latest breaking news. And as the front page of johnny2k.com states, "Now is the time to pray for America!".
So what should happen when we find out that we are wrong about something? (It may be something that more journalists should try doing.) Just admit the error and make the correction. I was pretty sure that I had it right, too, but Joseph Farah made a point that I could not disregard. It made a lot of sense. And in these days, I have no doubt that Iran will exploit the blunder Israel seemed to have made almost five years ago.
Correction to Setting the Stage - Part 5

God's Chosen People

In the previous installment to this topic, "Setting the Stage - Part 5, God's Chosen People", I wrote something that I feel needs to be corrected, or at least, amended:
In this recent battle, the one that was just "ended" by a United Nations resolution to cease fire, there were no victories. Hezbollah, sponsored by Iran and Syria, did not win. However, there are some people, mostly on the side of the Islamofascist terrorists, feel that Hezbollah was the winner. To a certain degree, those people would be correct. That is because Hezbollah wasn't totally wiped out, and they can begin regrouping their forces and resupplying their weapons to fight on another day. So, they really didn't "lose".
In the two days since the I wrote the previous post, I have learned something. I have found out that it is NOT just people "mostly on the side of the Islamofascist terrorists" that feel that Hezbollah won or Israel lost the conflict that began on July 12, 2006. In fact, after my further contemplation on this subject since the post I wrote the other day, I would be one of the people that feels that Israel could have and should have wiped out Hezbollah, but didn't. And because of that, Israel lost, Hezbollah won.

There would be a lot more I could write on this subject this morning, but if I did, it would end up plagiarizing an excellent commentary that I just read that appeared on www.WorldNetDaily.com just this morning. Joseph Farah, founder, editor and CEO of WND, posted his commentary, "Israel's terminal illness". (You can click on the title to the article and go to that page in a new browser window [or tab].) Joseph Farah is absolutely correct, and it is said in very "stark terms" - what Israel has done by agreeing to the cease fire terms of the United Nations resolution will embolden terrorists around the world. What was done by Israel was a major blunder, and endangers their very survival, and even that of the free world.

Oh, and by the way, Iran has already began rearming Hezbollah through Syria. Israel still hasn't gotten back the two soldiers Hezbollah captured that started this conflict. And who knows what Hezbollah will try next.
