Iowa is America (If Not Heaven)

By John Kubicek

Something very special has been happening in a part of America that rarely gets attention. But when there is attention, we make it big.

It really hit me today, when watching the Iowa Hawkeyes win another game, and yet the ESPN announcers were still being quick to discredit the Hawkeyes as a contender for the National Championship. It reminded me of how the tea party patriots have been treated in this last year by the press.

And yet, the Hawkeyes have still gone undefeated, despite being behind in 8 out of those nine games. No respect. And then, there was the march in Washington on September 12 with over a million people concerned with the direction this country is going. No respect.

The Hawkeyes could have just folded up in the 3rd quarter of today's game, after 4 interceptions in the that quarter alone. But, no, they showed the resiliency that has been displayed week after week. They came back with a perfect 4th quarter and slammed Indiana with four 4th quarter touchdowns. You couldn't have seen anything spookier on a Halloween than what the Iowa Hawkeyes accomplished in just a few minutes. It was reflective of what our country did to win our freedom. Down, but not out.

I'm so proud to be in Iowa. Somehow, this state seems to be able to get through the toughest times. Floods, tornadoes, gay marriages and budget problems. And don't forget the farm crisis back in the 1980s. Along comes a football coach for the Hawkeyes, by the name of Hayden Fry, that brought the nation's attention to it just by leading great teams to bowl games and putting stickers on the team's helmets.

When I thought about it today, following another great Iowa win on the turf, and still getting no respect from the national press, it seemed to reflect the way those of us on the Conservative side have had to deal with the same obstacle. What the liberal press discounts as fanaticism tends to actually be us just winning by resilience and perseverance. We can be down, but not out. It's the way Iowans are. It's the way the American people need to be.

Last Week on TheREALjohnny2k - 10/18 through 10/25/09

By John Kubicek

Being that it is already MONDAY - the beginning of a new week - and I'm just now getting up my week of videos, I've changed the name of this series from THIS Week... to LAST Week on TheREALjohnny2k... Actually, from this point on, it's always going to be "LAST Week on TheREALjohnny2k..."

Time really flew this last week. There was so much to follow! Of course, my question as a "news editor" was going to be which story would be the most important to you. I had a lot to choose from. Of course, the Balloon Boy story goes on, but that didn't make the cut. Not by a long shot. I'm not about to give attention to an attention seeker. That's besides the point, because I really wanted to bring you information about Barack's indecision about Afghanistan.

Oh, but no, there is just me. I don't have a staff, nor even a personal assistant. It would be nice if I could focus on multiple issues, but that is beyond my time limitation.

But at least there was something that was well worth the dedication of time to express to you this last week. It seems that some people would like to silence the critics. What I am finding is that the Obama Administration is having a hard enough time holding on to their constituency, and they really don't want these questions being asked.

The videos that I added to my youtube channel last week can not put together the whole puzzle, but the pieces that I've provided will help to connect a lot of dots. It seems that there is a "transparency" issue. The only real transparency is the ability to see that there is an attempt to silence those that dissent, or even ask questions.

October 18, 2009 - Liberals Give Enemy Combatants the Death Penalty

Now that the liberals in Congress and the White House want enemy combatants to get the rights of the Constitution of the United States if captured, there will be little motivation to capture them. We can't coerce information from them, and we will have to advise them of their rights (Mirandizing them!).

Once again, the liberals illustrate how their good intentions always seem to have unintended results. Now that there is no incentive to capture the enemy, you can see how this is going to go. The word on the battlefield will be, "Take no prisoners." I'm not sure that is the kind of rights that the liberals were desiring, unless it is their intent for the enemy warriors to meet their 72 virgins much sooner.

October 19, 2009 - Transparent Change: ObamaCare, Soviet Style

So much for transparency. So much for our freedom if their health care bill gets passed.

This "Prescription for truth" segment with Peter Johnson, Jr. really hits the nail on the head. Do you really feel comfortable knowing that there are all these "back-room deals" being made concerning our health care? Why would they even think about doing that? Are they hiding something?

The candidate Obama told us that many of our frustrations would be eliminated, that there would be transparency, as Peter explains, with C-Spam and huge websites. And as he tells us, that hasn't happened. There is no bi-partisan ship as promised, either, by the way. Republicans for the most part are shut out of any debate, unless it is Olympia Snow the token Republican.

For those that were hoping for change when you voted a year ago, you got it. It does seem to be fairly transparent that they don't care what you think, and that they think that you will give up your freedoms because you think there is nothing you can do about it. There's your hope, change, and transparency.

Hey, that teleprompter must not have been programmed for Truth.

Just sayin'...

October 20, 2009 - It's the 'Perfect Storm'

Sarah Palin gets into the health care debate with her latest thoughts (while Obama hides behind closed doors).

This is all about how the Candidate Obama - now President - who isn't really following through with the "transparency" that he talked about during the campaign.

Of course, now that a certain news network is not making the Obama administration so happy, they now have an enemy to blame.

October 20, 2009 - Don't Ask Why: Glenn Beck on the attempted government control of the media

Anita Dunn made the point. Anita Dunn did it. The war on the Fox News Channel goes deep below the surface. It goes to the attempted control of the Press by the White House. Media control... or "Don't ask questions"... Same difference.

October 21, 2009 - We're losing the most precious right we have

Our freedom of speech is being attacked from all sides. We could easily go into all the ways the 1st Amendment is being attacked, but in this segment, it is about how they (the government minions) are attacking a news network.

The Obama administration is obviously making an example out of FoxNews, but now other networks are catching on to what is going on. God bless Jake Tapper for speaking out. He's not a Fox News correspondent. He just happened to see the writing on the wall concerning the freedom of the press, and the right to ask questions.

The fear that I harbor is that the mainstream press will be a shivering little lap dog for the Obama administration. I regained some hope when Tapper asked Mr. Gibbs those really hard questions, at least above the level of a shivering lap dog. Or, I guess we could say, the lap dog growled a little Grrr. for once. (So scary!)

But, do you know what? We're not going to ever see the "grrr" in the press if we don't do a "grrr" now and then. Fortunately, we are, with the teaparties and rallies. Grrr! Let's hear it and maybe the press besides the denigrated Fox News Channel will too!

October 22, 2009 - Michelle Malkin: How they want to silence the critics

While following Glenn Beck, I've learned that the most valued freedom that we still have - or, well, we're supposed to - is the freedom of speech. Without that, we have no freedom to worship and minister and keep our government in check.

Folks, once the government is able to regulate speech, with no regard for the 1st Amendment, it's all over. Once the government is able to take out talk radio, Fox News, and us bloggers and youtubers, it's all over.

If you haven't noticed, many of my latest videos have had a lot to do with freedom of speech and the press. I've been showing the examples of the attacks on any media that dares to ask questions.

October 24, 2009 - Sarah Palin Endorses Doug Hoffman (Conservative Party candidate)

While Sarah Palin does the right thing by endorsing Doug Hoffman for the Congressional seat, the GOP gets their panties in a bunch because she didn't endorse the Republican candidate that is being endorsed by an ACORN affiliated organization, and the Democrat is being endorsed by SEIU.

Ellen Ratner is involved in this segment, and demeans anyone on the right in the GOP.

See Sarah Palin's facebook column endorsing Doug Hoffman: "Sarah Palin: Support Doug Hoffman": http://bit.ly/gkPEL

October 25, 2009 - Newt goes "Saul Alinsky" on Sarah Palin's endorsement of Doug Hoffman

Belittle, denigrate, laugh at, ridicule, mock, defame, vilify, malign, disparage, isolate, disparage...

Has Newt Gingrich gone to the "dark side?" Well, you have to wonder, when he attacks both the endorsement by Sarah Palin of Doug Hoffman. Not only does he attack the candidate from the Conservative Party for a U.S. House seat election in upstate New York, he attacks Sarah Palin's endorsement, saying it will lead to the end of the GOP for generations to come.

I don't think Newt gets it. In fact, I don't think Newt ever got it. The base of the Republican Party was always the Conservatives (both fiscal and social). It was obvious from the results of the elections in 2006 and 2008 that the "moderates" in the Republican Party might as well have been Democrats. They were called "RINOs" - Republicans in name only - and it lost the last two elections for the GOP.

This week on TheREALjohnny2k - 10/11 to 10/17/09

By John Kubicek

There may be a couple things that you will notice about This Week on TheREALjohnny2k today. First, the obvious. For the last several weeks, I had been posting this series in my other blog, johnny2k's Blogging In Our Time 2 Escape. I decided to go back to putting it on this blog, as I had originally done, for a couple of reasons. This blog is where I post my own work, and I guess the videos I upload to youtube is part of my work. And secondly, I had not written much lately, and there needed to be some more content to be keeping johnny2k Is Home a bit more active, if you know what I mean.

The other thing you may have noticed... or, maybe not, is that none of videos below has to do with the "Falcon, the balloon boy hoax" that dominated the news the latter part of last week. As far as I am concerned, and figuring out what a hoax it seemed to be shortly after the whole scenario began to unfold, dominating all of the cable news channels, it was nothing short of tabloid fodder, or maybe something that Geraldo Rivera or Greta Van Sustrand may be interested in analyzing for the next few weeks. Anyway, nothing about it had youtube video written on it. It just wasn't a story that needed any further moments of attention for the derelict parents of the 6 year old child that played a role in a gigantic media scam. No further elaboration required.

What I did get on video this week had a lot to do with Glenn Beck, the White House and Anita Dunn. I think you are going to love this week's videos.

Oh, by the way,, there is a very special treat for you at the bottom of this post. Keep a box of tissues close by. Trust me!

October 11, 2009 - Pakistan: Nothing to worry about? Not unless it's an inside job

The Narcissist-in-chief has too much else to worry about besides Pakistan. So, there are attacks on the Pakistani government military facilities, and our government says not to worry, the Pakistani nuclear arsenal is safe.... as long as there is not an "inside job!" Heck, in that part of the world? We have nothing to worry about. It would be fear mongering for us to consider such a thought. Only those crazy people out on the fringes of the right-wing extremist conspiracy would think there is anything to worry about.

We really have nothing to worry about, so says the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. B. Hussein Obama let her out of her cage just long enough to reassure us that the Pakistani nuclear arsenal is still in safe hands. If anything were to go wrong, the Nobel anointed man of peace now has somebody to take the blame just in case.

While one hand (probably the left one) is busy putting our attention on the czars and the evil agenda of the transformation of America, the other one is busy finding ways not to prevent the takeover of a heavily nuclear armed country by terrorists... i.e., our enemies.

Are you surprised?

I didn't think so. We the People are the Mob. This is a good time to keep this great country in your constant prayers.

October 13, 2009 - The White House War on the Fox News Channel

Note to Anita Dunn, in case you missed it: Glenn Beck joins Steve, Gretchen and Brian of Fox & Friends on the curvey couch on Oct 13. Glenn asks important questions about why the White House would want to do this and what journalists on other networks are thinking. Anita Dunn is not only attacking Fox News, but is also not allowing any interviews with the President by anyone on Fox News, at least for the rest of this year. In other words, Fox News has been banned.

You may be wondering why the White House would have such a negative attitude towards Fox News. Well, maybe not, if you watch enough of Fox News to know that they are bringing up questions that the White House doesn't want the sheeple to know about. You know, things like ACORN, and Obama's indecisive actions regarding the War in Afghanistan.

October 14, 2009 - Transparency? Then Why a Different Image Under the Surface?

I am sure that the title of this video will make you wonder what I'm talking about. Well, I'll be honest, it would be better to just let Glenn Beck explain it.

And about the White House war on the Fox News Channel, there really is one. It is NOT a conspiracy theory. Anita Dunn, a White House Communications director, said it publicly. She called Fox News an "opponent." Wait, isn't a free press all about asking questions, and hopefully getting honest answers? Is the press, such as Fox News, going to be demonized for questioning what is going on? Who's next? Talk radio hosts like Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck? The bloggers?

This is another classic Glenn Beck segment, and I want people to see these. In order to see each show from beginning to end, I still will always recommend a couple great sites:

glennbeckdailyclips on youtube.com.

I salute my friend that is doing all of that work on a consistent basis. He is a patriot!

October 16, 2009 - Glenn Beck on Oct 15 2009 - The Anita Dunn Story, Part 1

Glenn Beck is laying it all out on the line this week. And the Red Phone hasn't rung yet. Is the White House admitting who they are? You should be asking, "Who are those people?"

October 16, 2009 - Glenn Beck on Oct 15 2009 - The Anita Dunn Story, Part 2

Glenn Beck is laying it all out on the line this week. And the Red Phone hasn't rung yet. Is the White House admitting who they are? You should be asking, "Who are those people?"

October 16, 2009 - Glenn Beck on Oct 15 2009 - The Anita Dunn Story, Part 3

Glenn Beck is laying it all out on the line this week. And the Red Phone hasn't rung yet. Is the White House admitting who they are? You should be asking, "Who are those people?"

October 17, 2009 - We the People Don't Take Bribes! You can't buy us!

Do the politicians really believe that $250 sent to all of the seasoned citizens will win them over, especially knowing the $500 billion that is going to be cut from Medicare? I'm not trash talking the President or the Democrats, but I have to really wonder who is in charge there at the White House. Are they really THAT STUPID?

The answer is, We the People aren't that dumb... at least not the seasoned citizens, that have built up years of skepticism regarding political maneuvers. Note to you there in Washington, a $250 payment is probably less than most of the retired people make in one night playing Bingo every now and then.

Hey, Obama, "We the People" can't be bought.! You didn't choose the right target group this time! After that debacle, are you still wondering why your ratings are so far down? Do you wonder why you can't get any of your crazy bills passed?

Just watching this great video should, and will, light a fire under many of us that can't be bought. We the People are tired of being considered as "Useful idiots." We're not, and I guess that those in power NOW will be learning that in about a year from now.

Favorite video of the week

Here is a very, very, special treat for all of you that have gone all the way through all of the above video news segments. A very good friend of mine on Twitter sent a direct message to me to make sure I knew about this video. This is so awesome, and I had to share this with you, too!

Where Have you Gone....? ~ By Randy Novotny

~ Guest Author ~

This is from WddNews.com
Republished with permission Where Have You Gone...?

By Randy Novotny

Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio? Paul Simon wrote that line long before Joltin Joe had left and gone away from the planet. He was figuratively asking where all our true heroes have gone, because in the 60s when he wrote the song we needed heroes and didn’t seem to have any.

Right now we need Leaders and don’t seem to have any; at least any that seem to understand the need to show concern for the problems and issues of the people.

The President is supposed to be a leader. A leader of all Americans and the free world.

Our current President reminds me of the little kid playing baseball who always wanted to pitch and finally got his opportunity and says “look at me mom and dad, I’m pitching” and then gets shelled. It doesn’t matter to him because the only thing that does is that he is the pitcher. The outcome of the game isn’t important. His teammates aren’t important.

The only thing that matters is he is the pitcher. That’s all that is important to mom and dad and his other followers as well. It doesn’t matter how good of a job he is doing.

To Mr. Obama’s defense he is not the first that this has happened to in recent years. The last George Bush started out strong as a leader and was remarkable through 9/11 and the days that followed. Somewhere in his second term he just seemed to run out of gas and no longer possessed the same qualities. It might have been even sooner.

Clinton was more of a “Teflon Bill”. The good times we had during his administration probably had little to do with him. The balanced budget was probably because of Newt Gingrich and the rest of Congress.

Sometimes, it is better to be lucky than good. A true leader would never be caught with his pants down as often as Clinton was. A true leader would not embarrass us like he did.

The first George Bush just seemed too far out of it at times. He really never connected with the American people. Maybe, it really was that silver spoon.

Good men in many ways, all of them, but just not the leaders we need in the White House.

Ronald Reagan was a remarkable leader from bell to bell. The best (by far), I can remember in my lifetime. He led because he possessed the wisdom necessary for the position. He could connect with people on all levels. He was truly concerned about making it a better country and a better world.

The Presidency isn’t as much about policy as it is leadership. It matters not if you are conservative, liberal, middle of the road, or something else. Can you lead? Can you put confidence in the American people? Can you portray the United States as a strong yet compassionate country?

Reagan had it all. I’m not sure if Obama has any of it!

I have to confess, I voted for Barack Obama because I thought he might possess Reagan type leadership.

So far, he has failed me and the rest of the people of the United States of America!

I am not Rush! I do not want him to fail. I want him to succeed. Just like I always want everyone the American people put in a leadership role to succeed.

I am not controlled by party politics like so many in our country. My only hope is for our country to get better.

On the top of the pyramid of the Great John Wooden’s “Pyramid for Success” it says, “Do your best when your best is required and your best is required everyday”.

That’s what I want out of our leaders. That’s what I want out of the United States. Now more than ever our best is required.

We cannot be at our best when our chief leader does not have his eye on the ball.

The Olympics for Chicago in 2016 means practically nothing to the success of this nation.

Yet, on the very day when unemployment rates were announced at the highest rate in 26 years, just a couple of days after our commander in Afghanistan revealed the embarrassment for all Americans that he had talked to the President only once; where was Barack Obama? In Copenhagen, hoping to further his “Rock Star” image by being there to celebrate the announcement of Chicago winning the Olympics for 2016.

Right now our President is drowning in arrogance!

While many are terribly hurting in this country, while young men and women are dying and being permanently maimed on battlefields in different parts of the world our President and other leaders stick to politics as usual.

What’s the hurry on healthcare? We certainly need some kind of reform. Americans deserve affordability. However, we do not need a plan that is rammed down our throats without input from all sides.

Let the soup cook before you serve it. Let us decide if the soup is ready to eat or if it needs more or less ingredients. Don’t tell us how great it is before we have a chance to decide.

It seems to matter to our leaders only what happens to them politically and not what happens to “We the People”.

Our political system is sick and it is making our country sick as well. Unfortunately, “We the People” keep treating the symptoms instead of the disease.

The disease is that both parties want control of the people. The only difference is they want to control the people in different ways.

So, what do we do? We treat the symptoms with a pill in the form of the vote that changes the symptoms every few years. The problem is when we cure one symptom the others come back and so forth. We are in a vicious cycle that can only end in death. Death to the great country of the United States of America!

We can still save the patient, but we must begin to treat the disease. You treat the disease by taking a new course of action with new leaders with a goal for them and the country to do their best everyday for the people of the United States and the Planet Earth.

We must quit being controlled by the Democratic and Republican parties and their special interests. We must elect leaders not associated and controlled by either party. That is the treatment for the disease.

That is how we save the great country of the United States of America!

It has to begin with all of us!

I would like to hear from you!

How About: While They Are There

By John Kubicek

I had doubts that I would see anything on the news this morning that would ever be worthy enough to take the time to upload to youtube. I had no desire to spend time video blogging about what a scumbag Dave Letterman is. In fact, that is now a well known fact that I really wanted to erase from my mind. It was not an image that I wanted to have stuck in my head.

And of course, there was that big attempt for Chicago to get the Olympics in 2016. There is now the great sadness...please bow your heads... that Valerie, Michelle, and Barack won't be getting rich on that great land deal that they thought was in the bag... Oh. I digress.

It surely pains me to see the Iran nuclear issue go by without my comment at this time, but seriously, I'm sure that most of you already know what a complete failure the Obama policy has been.

Mmmm mmm mmm, Barack Hussein Obama, you've been rejected!

And what a shocking story that would be to be telling you about now, except for the fact that there are many more important issues that have been rejected and ignored by Obama and his minions in the state-run media.

Being that I was not really all that enthusiastic about any of the stories of the day, I decided to take my time getting home from work this morning. I really didn't come across anything last night that deserved any mention. But the timing turned out to be perfect. When I finally arrived home, I found out about a musical tribute to our troops that was going to be playing in the last few minutes of Fox & Friends. I fired up my recording gear, and was able to get some video that was suitable for producing and uploading to my youtube channel.

Mmmm mmm mmm, Barack the Olympic Failure. While that is such a "tragic" event, that Chicago was eliminated (Obamanated in this case) from the Olympic considerations for 2016, there is another major tragedy going on that nobody else is covering today.

At this time, Barry the Obamanator is seemingly ignoring the need to make a decision about our strategy (or lack of it) in Afghanistan. His general on the battlefront appealed for the needed manpower and resources to prevent defeat. "Wait a minute, general," Obama seems to be saying, "getting the 2016 Olympics in Chicago is extremely vital to our national security."

Of course, the state-controlled media is keeping that story at the front of the line, while our fighting men and women are left hanging, not even knowing if their mission will be allowed to continue. How's that for a big morale booster?

The title of the song in the video above was, "When They Come Back," which was great. Those that are back from the war(s) definitely need our support. But, that isn't the whole story, is it? How about those that are still over there? They need our support. They need our President's support. I hope that now that he Obamanated the 2016 Olympics, he may want to spend some time thinking about our military and their needs.

Mmmm mmm mmm. Barack the Olympic Failure. And, so? Big deal. Where he must not fail is in what to do with Gen. McCrystal's requests to avoid defeat. I sure hope he met with the General in Copenhagen as some in the media suggested.

For us, the loved ones of the troops, we'll be honoring those that have come back, those that didn't make it back, and those that are still there. The question is, will the President honor any of them?
