By John Kubicek
Being that it is already MONDAY - the beginning of a new week - and I'm just now getting up my week of videos, I've changed the name of this series from THIS Week... to LAST Week on TheREALjohnny2k... Actually, from this point on, it's always going to be "LAST Week on TheREALjohnny2k..."
Time really flew this last week. There was so much to follow! Of course, my question as a "news editor" was going to be which story would be the most important to you. I had a lot to choose from. Of course, the Balloon Boy story goes on, but that didn't make the cut. Not by a long shot. I'm not about to give attention to an attention seeker. That's besides the point, because I really wanted to bring you information about Barack's indecision about Afghanistan.
Oh, but no, there is just me. I don't have a staff, nor even a personal assistant. It would be nice if I could focus on multiple issues, but that is beyond my time limitation.
But at least there was something that was well worth the dedication of time to express to you this last week. It seems that some people would like to silence the critics. What I am finding is that the Obama Administration is having a hard enough time holding on to their constituency, and they really don't want these questions being asked.
The videos that I added to my youtube channel last week can not put together the whole puzzle, but the pieces that I've provided will help to connect a lot of dots. It seems that there is a "transparency" issue. The only real transparency is the ability to see that there is an attempt to silence those that dissent, or even ask questions.
October 18, 2009 - Liberals Give Enemy Combatants the Death Penalty
Now that the liberals in Congress and the White House want enemy combatants to get the rights of the Constitution of the United States if captured, there will be little motivation to capture them. We can't coerce information from them, and we will have to advise them of their rights (Mirandizing them!).
Once again, the liberals illustrate how their good intentions always seem to have unintended results. Now that there is no incentive to capture the enemy, you can see how this is going to go. The word on the battlefield will be, "Take no prisoners." I'm not sure that is the kind of rights that the liberals were desiring, unless it is their intent for the enemy warriors to meet their 72 virgins much sooner.
October 19, 2009 - Transparent Change: ObamaCare, Soviet Style
So much for transparency. So much for our freedom if their health care bill gets passed.
This "Prescription for truth" segment with Peter Johnson, Jr. really hits the nail on the head. Do you really feel comfortable knowing that there are all these "back-room deals" being made concerning our health care? Why would they even think about doing that? Are they hiding something?
The candidate Obama told us that many of our frustrations would be eliminated, that there would be transparency, as Peter explains, with C-Spam and huge websites. And as he tells us, that hasn't happened. There is no bi-partisan ship as promised, either, by the way. Republicans for the most part are shut out of any debate, unless it is Olympia Snow the token Republican.
For those that were hoping for change when you voted a year ago, you got it. It does seem to be fairly transparent that they don't care what you think, and that they think that you will give up your freedoms because you think there is nothing you can do about it. There's your hope, change, and transparency.
Hey, that teleprompter must not have been programmed for Truth.
Just sayin'...
October 20, 2009 - It's the 'Perfect Storm'
Sarah Palin gets into the health care debate with her latest thoughts (while Obama hides behind closed doors).
This is all about how the Candidate Obama - now President - who isn't really following through with the "transparency" that he talked about during the campaign.
Of course, now that a certain news network is not making the Obama administration so happy, they now have an enemy to blame.
October 20, 2009 - Don't Ask Why: Glenn Beck on the attempted government control of the media
Anita Dunn made the point. Anita Dunn did it. The war on the Fox News Channel goes deep below the surface. It goes to the attempted control of the Press by the White House. Media control... or "Don't ask questions"... Same difference.
October 21, 2009 - We're losing the most precious right we have
Our freedom of speech is being attacked from all sides. We could easily go into all the ways the 1st Amendment is being attacked, but in this segment, it is about how they (the government minions) are attacking a news network.
The Obama administration is obviously making an example out of FoxNews, but now other networks are catching on to what is going on. God bless Jake Tapper for speaking out. He's not a Fox News correspondent. He just happened to see the writing on the wall concerning the freedom of the press, and the right to ask questions.
The fear that I harbor is that the mainstream press will be a shivering little lap dog for the Obama administration. I regained some hope when Tapper asked Mr. Gibbs those really hard questions, at least above the level of a shivering lap dog. Or, I guess we could say, the lap dog growled a little Grrr. for once. (So scary!)
But, do you know what? We're not going to ever see the "grrr" in the press if we don't do a "grrr" now and then. Fortunately, we are, with the teaparties and rallies. Grrr! Let's hear it and maybe the press besides the denigrated Fox News Channel will too!
October 22, 2009 - Michelle Malkin: How they want to silence the critics
While following Glenn Beck, I've learned that the most valued freedom that we still have - or, well, we're supposed to - is the freedom of speech. Without that, we have no freedom to worship and minister and keep our government in check.
Folks, once the government is able to regulate speech, with no regard for the 1st Amendment, it's all over. Once the government is able to take out talk radio, Fox News, and us bloggers and youtubers, it's all over.
If you haven't noticed, many of my latest videos have had a lot to do with freedom of speech and the press. I've been showing the examples of the attacks on any media that dares to ask questions.
October 24, 2009 - Sarah Palin Endorses Doug Hoffman (Conservative Party candidate)
While Sarah Palin does the right thing by endorsing Doug Hoffman for the Congressional seat, the GOP gets their panties in a bunch because she didn't endorse the Republican candidate that is being endorsed by an ACORN affiliated organization, and the Democrat is being endorsed by SEIU.
Ellen Ratner is involved in this segment, and demeans anyone on the right in the GOP.
See Sarah Palin's facebook column endorsing Doug Hoffman: "Sarah Palin: Support Doug Hoffman": http://bit.ly/gkPEL
October 25, 2009 - Newt goes "Saul Alinsky" on Sarah Palin's endorsement of Doug Hoffman
Belittle, denigrate, laugh at, ridicule, mock, defame, vilify, malign, disparage, isolate, disparage...
Has Newt Gingrich gone to the "dark side?" Well, you have to wonder, when he attacks both the endorsement by Sarah Palin of Doug Hoffman. Not only does he attack the candidate from the Conservative Party for a U.S. House seat election in upstate New York, he attacks Sarah Palin's endorsement, saying it will lead to the end of the GOP for generations to come.
I don't think Newt gets it. In fact, I don't think Newt ever got it. The base of the Republican Party was always the Conservatives (both fiscal and social). It was obvious from the results of the elections in 2006 and 2008 that the "moderates" in the Republican Party might as well have been Democrats. They were called "RINOs" - Republicans in name only - and it lost the last two elections for the GOP.
